We moved to NOVA from another state and was searching for a reputable contractor to renovate our house. After interviewing quite a few contractors to redo our kitchen, both my wife and I felt Jose stood out as he listened tentatively to what we wanted our kitchen to be, articulated detailed suggestions on how to meet our requests, and provided a fair price for the project. Our kitchen remodel involved removing an existing wall. So, a few days before its commencement, Jose brought his team to cut out a section of the ceiling to double check to ensure a proper removal procedure was planned. After confirming, his team restored the ceiling by patching and even painting it as new. We were impressed as we wouldn't mind even if the ceiling was just covered with plastic. After all, the area would be demolished in a few days. Jose's crew are professionals. They arrived on time in the morning, worked diligently, and left with work area tidied up at the end of day. Throughout the project, Jose was always there when we needed him, and communicated with us daily to ensure we were happy with its progress. Every project has one or two surprises, and ours was the kitchen hood we purchased. It turned out it required a dedicated intake duct to be constructed in order to compensate the air it pushed out. Jose went above and beyond to research the intake valve required to work with the hood, and purchased it online as it was not carried in local stores. He kept us informed about the order status, and constructed the duct and installed the valve as soon as he received the part. We could not be happier with the kitchen renovated meticulously by Jose and his team. And we look forward to working with Jose again on future projects and are confident that he will make them shine too.

This is the second project that we hired Munoz Construction to do because we were so pleased with his work the first time. We needed to renovate our two bedroom rental condo, which included the complete replacement of the kitchen and full bathroom, as well as updating the half bathroom, repainting the entire unit, replacing interior and closet doors, replacing several light fixtures, and installing carpet throughout the bedrooms, hallway and living room. Jose was great at communicating with us throughout the project. We were able to pick out all of the models of toilets, vanities, lights, and fixtures for the bathrooms that we wanted. Jose also works with a cabinet and countertop person so that we could purchase what we wanted and they could coordinate directly with Jose for the installation. We purchased the appliances for the kitchen and had them delivered for the crew to install when they were ready. He does quality work and was able to handle anything we wanted (plumbing, electrical, tile floors, vinyl plank flooring, and carpet). We are very happy with how everything turned out.

Mr. Munoz and his employees arrived on time, did exemplary work, and left everything in pristine condition. His price was extremely reasonable. Munoz Construction will be the first call I make the next time I need renovations.

I could not have asked for a better result. Munoz construction started and finished on schedule. Some minor price adjustments to the original proposal reflected both savings in some areas and adjustments for additional work in other areas. The savings and adjustments about balanced each other out. The two man crew was very professional, knowledgeable about what they were doing, kept the work area cleaned up, and checked with me as needed. Mr. Munoz stopped by daily to check the work and answer any questions. He kept us apprised of the work at every step of the way. He took care of getting the building permit and scheduled the building inspector's two visits. Both visits resulted in approval of the work. Mr. Munoz, and his crew, were a pleasure to work with.

Jose and his crew have worked in our home three times over the last several years. Initially, I had two smaller baths remodeled. Both of these projects went extremely well - pricing was provided promptly, communication was maintained throughout the job, the men were respectful, courteous, and quiet. Most importantly work started each day promptly and the men worked non stop until the end of each day with only a short break for lunch. Regrettably, I did not hire Munoz construction for my master bath - a decision I've come to regret enormously. After 5 months with a different contractor who performed completely unsatisfactory and poor workmanship - I called Jose and asked for help. I fired the other contractor and Jose and crew came to our home to redo the mess of a master bath that we were left with. Jose and crew ripped out a large master bath floor, cabinets, toilet, trim and threshold and had to redo everything due to the poor tile workmanship and all around lazy efforts of the prior contractor. About 8 days later, I have a brand new master that looks as it should; every tile level, the grout is smooth and even, the cabinets are in place securely, and the room is clean. I cannot express how extremely pleased we are. Anain and Armando, who worked in our home, worked tirelessly to ensure each tile was expertly laid, all was level and plumb and that all was installed securely. You'd think this would be a given, but I regret that there are many sloppy (and sometimes dishonest) contractors in Loudoun. Jose and crew are one of the shining few in northern VA. Not only do I fully provide my testimonial, but I will have them back to my home to do work again and again.

Hire Munoz construction! We got three estimates from Angie's list Super Award winners for our two decks and fence replacement. Jose's bid was lower that the others, and his crew did excellent work. Jose was on site regularly to oversee the work. He and his crew had good attention to detail and were able to work with some changes and additions we made while the work was underway. Jose and his team were friendly and professional all the way, and very responsive to our interests. Jose even took care of some rotting wood trim on our bay window and re-painted they bay window at no extra cost (we supplied the paint). We hope to have him back to powerwash, stain and seal the deck once it has "cured." We did some research on the "right" way to do decks and fences before we hired anyone, and Munoz Construction followed best practices in their work. Very pleased!

Had an Angie's List coupon otherwise price may have been restrictive... that said, full confidence in the contractor throughout the process, they worked very well with us and ensured that we were satisfied with the results. Excellent work. Would recommend.

Jose and his crew are the ultimate professionals! Jose listens and is willing to talk through solutions to come up with the best outcome; he is a delight to work with and we would recommend him and his crew to anyone. They did excellent work, were neat and kept the path to the bathroom covered in drop cloths, and kept us informed every step of the way. There were never any surprises - they were on time and finished one day earlier than estimated. We asked Jose to incorporate some other small items into the scope and he did so, providing us with pricing for the work at the time we discussed it. He provided us with a warranty for the work, which really impressed us.

We could not be happier with Jose and his team. From the beginning he was incredibly responsive and professional. His two-man team worked hard to get the work done - and we were on a tight deadline expecting our first child within just a couple of weeks of completion. The work was meticulously done, and anything we didn't like or had questions about, Jose was happy to accommodate us. Jose is our go-to guy now for everything around the house and we have already recommended him to our neighbors.

We hired Munoz Construction to finish a bedroom and family room in our walk-out basement for a total cost of about $19,000. The work included installing a new larger exterior window, minor plumbing, electrical, framing (including moving a doorway and adding a closet), insulation, drywall of the walls and ceiling, and painting. He pulled the permits and handled the inspections too. Jose was fantastic to work with throughout the whole process. We had to work around extensive plumbing and duct lines in the bedroom, and Jose had great ideas while also listening to what we wanted to give us the perfect end product. He checked in with us at least once a day and was in constant communication with us throughout the project. Jose made sure that all of the work was completed to our satisfaction, even if that required more work. The crew cleaned up at the end of each day which we also really appreciated. We wouldn't hesitate to work with Munoz Construction again when we are ready to remodel the rest of our basement!

We were very pleased. The four workmen were very polite and helpful. They started on time, worked a long day and completed the job ahead of schedule. We are very happy with the quality of the painting and carpentry, and they solved some difficult plumbing and electrical problems. This is the second time we have used this company and we will certainly use them again when we have the need. Mr. Munoz is very professional and easy to communicate with. He checked each day to be sure all the projects were done well. If the work wasn't up to his standards, he would have it redone.

I did a replacement of the basement tub with a body jet walk-shower, converted a standard door to a double french door for the basement bedroom, and updated the recessed lighting through out the basement and added recessed lighting to 2 upper bedrooms. Jose and his team was outstanding. From the initial quote to completion, they were true professionals. No detail was left open, quality workmanship, The crews was punctual and courteous. Jose was in constant contact. I am 100% satisfied with the work they have done. I am using them again for the remaining bathrooms. (My house cleaning service complimented me on how well they maintained the work and adjacent areas during the work.)

Jose and his friendly team did an excellent job with our remodel. They showed up on time each day, worked hard with quality workmanship, and an eye for detail and left the work area clean each evening. Jose checked in with us regularly to ensure we were satisfied with the progress and decisions being made. It was fantastic. Munoz and his team showed up promptly and worked until the project was complete. It required raising the level of the entrance, so they poured new concrete. He acquired the door for us (built into his estimate up front), and installed in perfectly. He even went so far as to acquire new paint for the trim where the new door didn't quite cover the old. The match is exact. He and his crew were friendly and diligent. We'll definitely be using him again.

My experience with Munoz construction was very good. Jose (owner) is a great guy, very professional and trustworthy. The project went exactly has he described from the beginning. He stuck to the original quote. He had the same team onsite every day for 3 weeks and Jose would come by every morning and every afternoon to assess the work. He was very responsive via mobile or email and was always willing to meet in person. I would use them again for work on my house.

Outstanding job. Jose is punctual, responsive, conscientious, and smart. He is highly detail-oriented. He is very good at communicating so he makes sure he understands what you are looking for and then he executes it. His crew is also very good--polite and conscientious. Even when Jose is not on site he is always in contact with his guys. Any significant project will have unexpected things come up once the work starts, and Jose is great about addressing those kinds of issues. He is %110 honest and reliable. And the work he does is stunning---excellent cabinetry work, wood work, tile, and especially lighting. Jose had great ideas and is very cost-conscious. Really can't recommend him enough.

We had a wonderful experience working with Jose Munoz to get our home repair projects done. He and his team rebuilt and replaced two exterior doors to our home (one of which was a large gate door to fencing around a deck.) Jose and his staff were punctual, professional, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job. We are completely happy with the results which exceeded our expectations. Both doors look better than they ever did before! Before contacting Jose I had made calls to other contractors who were unreliable, failed to show up for estimate appointments and gave confusing and overpriced estimates. Jose was able to fit both our initial estimate and our construction work into his schedule quickly. He was exactly on time for both the estimate appointment and the construction work, He gave us a very reasonable estimate and had great communication skills, always keeping me updated by phone, text and email. He is a kind and friendly person who was a pleasure to work with, and we plan on seeking his help for any home improvement projects we have in the future.

Jose was professional from start to finish. He took the time to review the areas that needed repairs, made solid recommendations, and was thorough about his work.
