The short version, hire Mr. Munoz and his crew. Details: We had the same 6 crew members show up plus the owner, Jose. Very respectful of our property and even though the house was not being lived in during renovations, they still cleaned up after their work EVERY day. Jose was on site everyday to ensure the work was completed how we wanted it and to address any questions. Finished on time or before with all projects for which we hired him. Very detail oriented and noticed small things. Took our ideas of what we wanted and helped us to create the space exactly like we wanted, giving suggestions and options along the way. For example, we wanted to create a larger shower. He suggested making the 36” door to the water closet a 24” door to give us the space we wanted. I would have never thought of that on my own but it made a huge difference. Projects completed: kitchen including hanging cabinets, under cabinet lights and moving the island, fireplace, drywall repair and sound proofing insulation, master bathroom renovation including plumbing and tile, vinyl planking installation, painting.

Jose Munoz and his full team, each with individualized skill sets, offer talented, brilliant repairs, renovations and additions. Excellent, perfectionist work in a world that increasingly does things “half way”. They are reasonably priced and most importantly friendly and completely trustworthy. They felt more like family than strangers working on our home for a month. Our work project included extensive renovations inside and outside 2 houses (5 rooms of windows, tile work, complete painting of interior and exterior with wood rot repair, crown moulding installation, relocating ceiling fixtures, new gutters and collapsed ceiling room redos from leaking roof). They are creative and can offer solutions no one else can envision. Absolutely the highest recommendation

Jose Munoz and his team did an excellent job with our bathroom remodelling project. From the first survey to the completion of the work. Jose explained the scheduling, what his team would accomplish each day, what materials they would be using, when to prepare for the water shut off, etc. And when the first snow hit, they still showed up, the men put up an awning and worked all day. I was also impressed with their consistent practice of wearing face masks and following all CDC's guidelines during the pandemic. Job well done!

Jose and his team are the best!! Very professional, honest and courteous. Not only was the work far beyond my expectations, I was impressed with the workmanship, care and COViD safety considerations. I was well informed every step of the way and the end results are simply amazing!!

Great work. Made sure we were completely satisfied at each stage. Treated our house and us with respect. Did a few things in excess of contract. Had them fix hole in drywall in addition to major work. The did and painted it which wasn’t in contract. We are working on another contract with them to paint a lot more of our house.

Jose and his team helped me with a project for my basement. Don't waste your time going anywhere in the virginia with any contractor and hire Jose and Munoz construction, their professionalism , hard work and commitment can be unmatched ! Mr, Munoz and company did an amazing job. Mr. Munoz met with our family and discussed our many options, listened to our special needs and presented and advised us with a couple requested proposal options. The remodeling of our deck with new trex material, rebuilding a built-in bench and stained wood trim looks great. We very much appreciated the great communication, professionalism and safeness that was exhibited (when meeting conversing the crew was always masked). The proposal cost was very reasonable and craftmanship and quality of the work was best we have had using contractors for over 20 years in our Reston home. Highly recommended.

Munoz Construction repaired our balcony, which was slipping on one side. It was easy to work out the details and schedule with Jose. He kept us updated all along the way. The work was high-quality and finished without delay or incident. Our balcony is better-constructed now than it was originally, with extra reinforcement to prevent slipping in the future. We will call Munoz first, the next time we need repairs or renovations!

After our basement flooded we were left with a mess! We hired Munoz Construction to repair the areas where the wet drywall had been cut and removed and we also decided to take this event as an opportunity to complete the remodeling for two full bathrooms, the laundry room, and rec room at the same time. Jose Munoz made sure we were happy with every aspect of the job, and he kept us updated regarding the schedule throughout the project. The crew showed up on time (if not early) each day and cleaned up at the end of each work day. We felt very comfortable working with Munoz Construction and the renovations look great.

Jose Munoz is a consummate and highly professional Class A contractor! He was highly recommended to me by a friend who had Jose do work at her house. Jose provided me an initial estimate for renovation of a bathroom that included conversion of a tub area to walk in shower, wall and floor tile work and carpentry to make it ADA compliant. Once the job started, I was so impressed with the quality of work that I expanded the job to include painting the interior of my house which had not been done in 20 years. His team laid floor coverings and thoroughly cleaned up the job site every day, so I was never concerned about any damage to my home. I had consistency with the same team members doing the entire job and they were very thorough in completing tasks too. I highly recommend Jose to do work if you desire high quality at a very reasonable price.

Could not have been better! The two-person crew arrived promptly every day (actually a few minutes early), worked efficiently, and cleaned up after each day's work. The quality of the work is outstanding. Each day the owner, Mr. Munoz, came by at least once sometimes twice to inspect the project. If something was even less than perfect, he directed adjustment. The result is a beautiful new kitchen that was very affordable. Would I hire again? Absolutely. In fact, this is the second project in my home by the company and I'm looking forward to several more.

I’m getting ready to call Mr. Munoz for a job and realized that I never wrote a review for the first job he did at my house. In October 2018 Mr. Munoz’s company installed a new sliding glass door in my kitchen, repaired the rotted sub floor and the corresponding supports under the house, and put in new hardwood floors in my kitchen and living room. I contacted several different contractors, and Mr. Munoz is the only one who went under my house to determine the damage to the joists under the rotted subfloor. If that damage hadn’t been fixed, then the new floors would have simply covered up an existing problem. He gives very personal service, uses his own employees and takes great pride in his work. His price was very reasonable also. On top of that, he is a very nice man, and a pleasure to do business with.

The best contractor we have used. Mr. Munoz was very professional, price was extremely reasonable and his employees very efficient. I had had many proposals prior to Mr. Munoz' but they were not acceptable. I would recommend Mr. Munoz' company for many projects. In fact, he was working in our neighborhood when I saw his truck and called him. He was prompt and very helpful.

Everything went great! Jose communicated with me every step of the way. His crew arrived early in the morning and worked all day. Jose let me know what they were working on and when they would be finished. The original project was going to be finished earlier than anticipated, so Jose was flexible and let us add on a few more little projects that we wanted done while he and his crew were here. They did a fantastic job, was reasonably priced, and I would definitely hire again!

Everything was done in an excellent manner. Jose kept us updated with his progress and provided many options in terms of the design of our new bathroom and den. He was open to changes along the way and provided premium customer service. The crew was tidy and cleaned up after each day. We were extremely happy with the work and requested some additional add-ons which Jose provided with no issues. We will definitely work with Munoz Construction in the future and would highly recommend the company.

We recently purchased a home and hired Jose (Munoz Construction) and his team to do a number of projects at our house that included updates as well as issues raised during the home inspection. Jose and his team were awesome to work with, and I will definitely hire him again when we decide to do additional projects. Jose went out of his way to make sure we understood everything they were doing, and he was flexible when we added things or changed certain aspects of a project. For every project he gave us multiple options and explained how different materials would impact cost. When we incorrectly measured the space for a new fridge, he worked with us to shift our countertop and shave part of a cabinet so we could get the fridge we ordered installed (ultimately we asked his team to install a water line for the fridge, and the fridge itself after we had a terrible experience with the delivery contractor for Home Depot). His pricing was reasonable, and his positive attitude, honesty, and responsiveness really impressed me. After working with other contractors and having a number of so-so or negative experiences, working with Jose was such a pleasure.

This is the second time I have hired Jose Munoz and his crew. This time I needed my entire house to be repainted and also needed replacement of the kitchen sink countertop, backsplash installation, installation of ceiling fan, recessed lights, fixing of sagging door and other items. Once again Jose proved to be great in what he does. He was very professional right from the beginning and did an excellent job. My house is old and there were many small problems popping everywhere but Jose was able to solve all of them quickly and to a very good quality. It is not easy to find a good general contractor in DC area and is even more difficult to find a reliable one. Jose is certainly one of the very few. I would definitely recommend him to anybody who is seeking honesty, professionalism and good quality work. Thank you Jose!

Jose's work was fabulous, from the very beginning!! I can't recommend him enough and believe me, with several rental houses, I have worked with lots of contractors. Right from the beginning, he was kind, cooperative, professional AND communicated extremely with us to keep us informed of progress on construction as well as obtaining permits. He is saint!! You will love him and never hire another contractor!! He added several "extras" without be asked and was very generous with his time and talent!

Jose and his team did great job on our basement remodeling project. We created new home office in our basement, installed engineered wood floor, and also painted our garage floor. Their work is efficient and professional. And Jose is a honest guy on pricing estimate. We highly recommend him for house remolding project.

We had Munoz Construction install new doors for us and repair a gate. Jose walked us through the door purchase process at Home Depot and did all the measurements. When the doors were delivered, Jose and his friendly crew arrived promptly and installed them without a hitch. Jose made sure all latches, locks, and door closers were working perfectly, and the finish details -- paint and molding -- were perfect too. All this for a very reasonable price. We plan to look to Munoz in the future for window replacement and a new kitchen.

I am very happy with the kitchen renovation performed by Munoz Construction. Jose, Denis and Armando were punctual, respectful of my home, clean, and did an excellent job removing the old kitchen and installing the new tile, appliances, and cabinets.

The owner, Jose', was hands on, fully engaged with my project, attentive, honest, easy to work with, available, reliable, skilled, very knowledgeable and cheerful to boot! He had good employees as well. they were clean, reliable, skilled, pleasant, respectful, careful and hard-working. I felt like this company was in my corner from start to finish. They even did extra things I needed but didn't ask for at no charge just because they felt it was the right thing to do...because it was the right way to do it. Jose' the owner inspired my confidence in him and his company by his attention to details and his real concern that my project had the desired outcome.
