Great!! I wish I had found him sooner and had the work done sooner. The house looks great. They will be a doing a inside work for us as well. Mr. Munoz was very responsive and had great suggestions on how to do jobs I was not sure how I wanted done.

Jose was awesome and he confirmed the issue that we originally thought with the roof. He completed the work within a week of calling. He has also completed a bathroom remodel for us in the past. He is very prompt with responding to any questions you might have. The final price matched the initial estimate.

It went extremely well. We ordered the doors from Lowe's and had them delivered to the house. Jose Munoz had provided an estimate before the doors were delivered which came in lower than the Lowe's recommended contractor. They arrived on time on Friday, Oct 10, for the job and started immediately. it was clear this was a two day job and it rained on Saturday so he delayed completing the job until Monday. He came with additional crew to ensure the job was completed. The work was professionally done, the crew was polite and took care of our furniture and equipment. When I pointed out additional flooring that we wanted replaced, it was taken care of without complaints. Jose was responsive to our telephone calls and texts, not always the case. Have to say that it was a pleasure working Munoz Construction Company and we will call them back for any additional work we need done around the house.

The work took Mr. Munoz and his 2 crewmen about 55 hours. They had to temporarily remove siding on the outside, replace all of the studs and plywood, and then put the siding back on. They worked diligently and efficiently. Mr. Munoz and his crew are very knowledgeable about construction, very professional and do very high quality work. I will definitely call them again.

A 2x4 foot section of drywall crumbled and fell from the ceiling due to an unknown leak in an attic air conditioning unit, leaving the attic exposed to the room below. I previously used Jose Munoz before, and called him to a temporary repair to close the hole and to set up a time for a final repair. Jose responded very quickly and made the temporary repair the very next day. He also inspected the air conditioning unit in the attic and determined the probable cause of the water leak. Jose made arrangements with his air conditioning person to assess the air conditioning problem. Complete repairs were made to the air conditioning unit, and Jose was able to schedule final repairs to the ceiling on the next day. As with his previous work, repairs to the ceiling was excellent. We cannot tell that any damage ever occurred. Jose and his assistant worked virtually non-stop for several hours to complete the work. I was impressed that Jose was able to immediately schedule the temporary patch, and was also very pleased with the final work. With this second opportunity to work with Jose, I found his work to be excellent, prices were reasonable, and his reliability and responsiveness to be outstanding. And as with prior work, the clean up was superb.

It went very well. The Mason finished before Munoz began. He brought a crew of 3 men beside himself to get the work done quickly and efficiently. If Mr. Munoz had to go on a long paint run, the work continued and no time was lost. In similar cases in the past, only one guy would show up to do the work, and it is impossible to work efficiently with only one man. Mr. Munoz was not cheap, but he came in right on his estimate + $100 to replace a trim board I wanted replaced that was not in his original estimate. The front and back patio were immaculate as he left them, and he said that if the Association had some problem with his work to call him. Mr. Munoz was pleasant and professional in all of our relations.

Bottom line is that Jose and his workers did an amazing job! They gutted a 35 year old shower stall, installed a new shower diverter (correct term?), replaced the tile, moved electrical lines, added an exhaust fan, installed a new vanity/sink, hooked up plumbing to the toilet, repaired a small section of rotting wallboard, and cut and modified a new kitchen pantry which became a linen closet. This last item took them a while to do and it was a very tight squeeze to fit it in the bathroom, but it all came together. The shower tile is gorgeous! I wanted 9X12 tiles on the wall, with a decorative strip of 2X2 tiles on a horizontal line. On the floor is the matching 2X2 tiles. He also created a classy built-in soap shelf, and had to work around a window that overlooks the shower. He finished it off with bullnose and a great color of grout. I really wish I could post a picture here! He and his crew are all meticulous craftsmen. The project took a little longer than we wanted but he cut no corners and we are extremely pleased with the final product. As we agreed, I did the final painting and I must say that all the walls and ceiling were prepped and ready for me--no sanding, no wall imperfections anywhere. Jose is very agreeable to work with. He gets along great with his employees yet ensures that their work is at the highest level. He and his workers are really clean when working--drop clothes went down, trash was picked up every day, swept up every day. Not a smoker in the bunch which is nice (I've had to pick up cigarette butts after other remodeling jobs). They work really hard and long hours so they can get the job done quickly. They are all very nice and very trustworthy--I had no issue at all leaving them alone in the house while I ran errands. Please note that the price listed above was for labor only. I think I spent about $1700 on materials, including wall and floor tile, a new vanity and sink, shower and sink fixtures, a built in linen closet, an exhaust fan, and paint. They arrived on time and got right to work. They covered the floors and hung plastic sheeting. The work was everything I expected and more. Mr. Munzo takes pride in his work and inspected the work thoroughly before he said he was finished. His crew was polite and strived to make me happy with their work, which they did. I would hire him again and recommend him highly.

Jose Munoz and his three-man crew performed flawlessly, as usual. We are most grateful to be able to leave the crew at the house as they take care and look out for our dog and cat. They arrived on time and spent all day at work, moving from one task to the next. Jose is a perfectionist that is not satisfied until the job is done right and to our expectations. When his crew leaves, there is no indication they have been at the house...they clean-up completely and expertly. His ability to repair and paint wallboard is artistry - and we have already planned for him to return to replace light fixtures (wall board repair required), to install wiring in the garage and replace all the tile in our bathroom. We met Jose when he worked for the contractor who built our home (10 years ago) - Jose handled the punch-list. As such, there is no task I have found that he does not know how to tackle. He is truly the handyman of whom everyone dreams.

After Mr. Munoz met with us to discuss the finished project and ensure we were satisfied with everything (and accept our final payment), my husband shut the front door, turned to me and said...."WOW; what a GREAT experience!" Mr. Munoz estimated it would take 4 days to finish the project (we had a large punch list) and almost finished in 3 days. Amazing! He arrived on time each day, with a team of hard working incredibly skilled professionals and finished the work in record time, with no delays. They were tidy while working and cleaned up the job site at the end of each day. The hard word installer is a true artist. He was very focused and worked non-stop and just banged the job out. They were experts in ridding our rooms of the nasty squeeks in the floor, that had been their since initial construction.. While they were painting our front door, they noticed it was sticking, so they went ahead and fixed that, without even saying anything (It had been sticking and difficult to close for YEARS). They were/are very nice people, with great work ethics and were very respectful of our property, and us (including my dog and cat)! I would highly recommend Munoz Construction. Jose Munoz is an amazing, conscientious person with a great team of true professionals. Jose does not overcommit by taking on too many projects and is well worth the wait, if his schedule is full.

The owner, Jose Munoz, contacted me immediately to scope out the work, and provided a time schedule for completion. Mr. Munoz and his crew arrived promptly on both scheduled days, completing all work in two days. The scope of work exceeded the Angie's List Big Deal amount. Prior to the work beginning, Mr. Munoz explained the pricing and provided an very fair price for any work that went beyond the Big Deal amount. At the end of the first day's work Mr. Munoz provided the estimated time/expense to complete the work. Munoz had a team of three then four, and worked tirelessly for both days of the work, i.e. there was no wasted time or effort. Weathered wood rotted columns were replaced and the entire portico area was repainted. Mr. Munoz gave a great recommendation to use fiberglass columns as replacements which would eliminate future wood decay problems. The roof was properly braced prior to removing the old columns. The new columns and their bases were installed and the portico completely painted. The completed work was perfect; The entire area looks as it did when the home was first purchased. Similar results for the replaced molding on the exterior basement door. Again fiberglass was used which should eliminate future wood decay problems. All paint perfectly matched existing paint. The interior work, drywall repair, and repainting was also excellent. The patched areas were sanded until completely smoothed to match the existing walls. All paint (five separate colors) perfectly matched the existing areas, and at completion the repaired areas could not be distinguished from the existing areas. Prior to sanding the patched drywall areas, and prior to painting, extensive use of plastic "tarps" was used to cover furniture and exposed areas. I cannot begin to express how well they cleaned up throughout the day. There is no sign of contractor debris anywhere on the property. I was extremely satisfied, with the work, the pace of the work, and the quality of the work. I plan to utilize Munoz Construction for future projects.

These guys are just outstanding. I hired them through their special deal for 40 hours of labor. When Jose first came to our house to provide the estimate, he was very professional and courteous. Then he came with his crew a few weeks later to do the work. Both he and his crew were very professional and did a great job. I also really appreciate how careful they were with our home. They were all very careful to cover things so there was no damage in the surrounding areas. The day they were working, Jose called me in the afternoon to tell me he was done, but we still had some time left on our contract so he could fix some other things he saw around the house! I could not be happier with them, and would not hesitate to hire them again. In fact, when I need more work done, I won't even waste my time considering an alternative - I will just call Jose. PS - I wanted to keep the review short, but Jose really deserves credit for two more things that he did for me during his work. 1) I gave him the wrong color grout in the morning. Jose noticed this, and instructed one of his guys to check in the garage for the right color, and he did! I didn't even know he had to do this until I got home at the end of the day! I suspect most people would not go out of their way to help a customer like that. 2) Unbeknownst to me, a previous contractor had disconnected my exterior lamp post wire. Jose asked us some questions about it, and unfortunately we were clueless about it. He said no problem and that he would try to figure it out. I was skeptical that he would be able to get the lamp post working. Again, at the end of the day, Jose said he found it and got it working! As I stated earlier - just outstanding.

My husband of 35 years had always hired contractors, and there had always been problems. This was my first time, and I relied on Angie’s list. Jose did a wonderful, high quality job. His staff were also wonderful, and very professional. I’ve asked him back to do more later this summer. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Jose and his crew were on-time, on-budget and did quality work. They even did a little extra work that was technically outside the scope of the bid, but was necessary to do the job right, and they did the extra work for no additional charge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jose's work, and I'm actually hiring him again to do a larger project next month.

Jose was awesome and did a great job. He installed a new tile shower and tile flooring for the bathroom. Jose did the majority of the work himself but on the last day he had some employees helping him finish the work. He gave us a good deal on the price for the additional time it took to complete the job. We plan on hiring him again to install the shower door.

We have a lot of experience with home restoration and remodeling around the country, but we never had a contractor with the consistently superior performance that Jose Munoz has provided. For the special offer, we went through our project list with Jose and knew what was reasonable to expect for 40 manhours, as well as the fair pricing for extra hours. For the follow-up projects, we received what turned out to be very accurate estimates of time and cost. Jose responds quickly to email and texts. He and his team showed up on time every time and worked hard. Their time sheet was posted on the wall. Jose personally is working the whole time and has a good relationship with his customers and his crew. As far as I know they don't smoke or take breaks. We were impressed with the care taken to protect the carpets and the furniture, even floor to ceiling shields as needed. Jose prides himself on his reputation for high quality work. He develops solutions and sticks with a difficult task until it's done right. At the end of the projects we received invoices and receipts for materials. Materials are charged at actual cost, and travel time to and from the worksite is not charged. It was a great experience. Many thanks to Jose and his team!

The project required 2 days of work. Mr. Munoz and his 2 employees were prompt and very professional. The quality of work was excellent and the price was within my budget. I will definitely use Mr. Munoz for future projects and have already referred him to a friend and my son.

I believe this could have been done in the 40 hours being bought. I was prepared, of course, to pay additional for materials and perhaps extra labor. The contractor wanted $4,000 for the work, which was completely unacceptable and we agreed not to go forward. Please refund the 1499. Thank you.

No complaints. They showed exactly when they said they would. The work took exactly how long they estimated. The quality of the work was good and the price was reasonable. I will use them again and would recommend them.

My wife and I have been working with Jose Munoz since before he officially started his business. Jose is an amazing contractor with all the best qualities. He is smart, a problem solver, trustworthy, pays attention to details, and cares very much about the finished product and that he has a happy client. He also has good assistants that are consistently the same gentlemen - trustworthy, hard working guys. We have recommended him to many many friends and everyone has been pleased and continue to ask him back. With this latest project Jose and his assistants installed a stacking stone facia to our fireplace that runs the full width and up the wall to the ceiling. This included reframing some areas, installing board to adhere the stone to, creating a pocket to install the walnut mantle inside. The work is fantastic, with many details like cutting little pieces of stone to fill in areas around the fireplace that turn a corner, a clean drywall line that meets the stone, and the mantle (solid walnut) looks fantastic coming straight out of the stone wall with no supports visible. A complete A+ They also removed the horrible old 60s bi-fold doors to our linen closet and installed regular doors that he measured, ordered, and hung by hand. The work is again fantastic with a ball catch to keep them shut and the framing is perfect. The recessed lighting installed was for a downstairs office, replacing a single light in the middle of the ceiling with 4 recessed lights. The room is so much brighter and the lights are on two switches to control light within the space. The work is impeccable and drywall repair is fantastic. Once painted you cannot see where the drywall was removed/repaired. My wife and I care a lot about design and finished product, and I am very picky. Jose works with me to hear my ideas and solve challenges I put in front of him before the project begins. In addition, it is important for my wife to feel comfortable with the people we have working in our house, while we are home with our children or not home at all. Jose is a family man, his assistants are friendly, and they make us 100% comfortable to have them here.

N o extra charge On previous visits Munoz Construction has done outdoor painting ,carpentry, drywall and tiling for me I feel fortunate to have "discovered" Munoz Construction.
