This guy is fantastic and his work is excellent! Jose (the owner) will be on site each day to supervise the work and will provide daily updates on what they are working on each day. He will do the job the "right" way and not the easy way. Proper painting is all in the prep work if you want a quality paint job that will last. The crew spent days getting things ready: washing the house, sanding, etc. Jose is a perfectionist and he wanted the surfaces to be perfectly smooth before painting. For the rotted siding where we had birds living (really!), they replaced and fitted a new curved piece of wood siding. The new screening on the porch is smooth and looks great. I had a hard time finding a contractor that could paint, do finish carpentry, and replace my siding. Jose could take care of it all. He found a leak in my roof overhang which he fixed too. He is very responsible with your property. He noticed that my 50 year old storm windows were installed wrong and didn't allow proper drainage. He took the time himself to fix the edging on each one before reinstalling. He remembered every little detail. I plan to hire Jose and his crew in the future. Note that Munoz Construction is a small company and the same people will be there for your entire project. As a small business, sometimes he may not be available immediately. I think that the other reviewer is incorrect to low grade this company because they didn't respond to him as fast as the reviewer wanted. After working with many contractors, we have finally found "the one"- our go-to contractor- Jose Munoz and his team. From the estimate to the job completion, Jose has exceed our expectations and has been professional, timely, hard working, friendly, and most of all- he has performed very high quality work. He even worked all weekend (and asked our permission to do so beforehand) to get the job done in the time estimate he provided. He always gave me an idea of when he would arrive each day, and would notify me if he was running late. He also worked late every day to get the job done. In addition, Jose and his team were very careful around the house and they left everything in order and cleaned up nicely after each day's job. The factor that put Jose over the top and why I trust him to be our go-to from now on is the fact that he saved us $10-15k from an unncessary bathroom renovation. Due to an issue with an area of the drywall, we were convinced that we had a leaky pipe behind the drywall in our master bathroom, and we figured that if we had to spend the money to fix it, we should go ahead with a bathroom renovation (although it's not in our budget at this time). We received seven estimates, and Jose was the only contractor who pointed out that he could cut out a portion of the drywall and investigate whether or not there really was a leak (there was not). Instead of taking our money and undergoing an unncessary renovation (as every other contractor would have done), we went with Jose's suggestion and we are so thankful that we did. Not only did he save us a lot of money, but the quality of his work is outstanding. The bathroom has been fixed and the new bedroom is now the nicest room in the house. We are very happy with the quality of work he and his team did. I also wanted to note that I am female and I work mainly from home while my husband works outside of the house. Jose and his team always treated me courteously and I never once felt unsafe (which is not always the case with all contractors). We also felt comfortable leaving them on their own. They were also very friendly to our two young kids, and they actually grew fond of Jose as well. My husband and I have no hesitation in highly recommending Jose and will contact him in the future for both small and large jobs.

Mr. Munoz and the guys were great. They arrive very punctually. Mr. Munoz met me to help pick out fixtures and cabinets. He had ideas of how to make a pretty boring, basic condo bathroom look really good. And he said he would have it done in a week and they finished in 6.5 days, including cleaning up to where it looked better than when they arrived. Mr. Munoz even drove out to Manassas at 8 pm to pick up a countertop because it would save me a couple hundred dollars! That is above and beyond. My mom has already used them for some lighting and doors she wanted replaced and cannot say enough good things about how nice they all are and how efficient and hardworking. I will definitely be using Munoz Construction again.

Jose and his team were excellent. When an issue was encountered, or an idea occurred, would check in with me with advice on best approach. Was extremely fair with pricing...even refunded me for extra paint that we had provided. The team arrived promptly and always checked at what time I wanted them to leave for the day. They kept the workspace as clean as possible given the messiness of the work, and treated my dog very kindly. Jose does the estimates and is present during the day working on the job site, so there are no surprises. If something was not to our liking, he would fix it until we were happy, without any additional charges. After running through several contractors over the past year during our home remodel, I am keeping Jose on speed dial. A true pleasure to work with.

We called the Munoz Construction company because of the previous work they did on our house. Our dogs dug into the dry wall on our main floor while we were at work and made a mess of things. We called the Munoz Construction company to fix our problem. They came the next day, patched the way and repainted and you cannot even tell the difference. There work is phenomenal and again they are highly recommended by us. We will be using them again for future projects.

. We had an outstanding experience with Jose and his crew. Jose is very nice, responsive, conscientious, knowledgeable, and completely customer-focused. His crew was nice and worked hard throughout their time in our house. The work was completed on time, looks great, and was done at a reasonable cost (in fact, less than other estimates we had). Clean up was done well too. Without hesitation, I can very highly recommend Munoz Construction.

First time i called Jose, I left a message regarding project i wanted to tackle. He promptly called me back in hour or so and even came out same day to give me an estimate for the project. I told him exactly what i wanted to accomplish and with his expert knowledge in home remodeling he was able to knock out a load bearing structural wall and reinforced structure to accommodate open floor concept that my wife and I desired. Other contractors estimated work to be done in week worth time, Jose estimated work to be finished in 2 days. The actual work was finished in 3 days period of time. Jose said that work was a lot more involved than initially estimated, not once he asked for more money like many other contractors would, but rather he was so apologetic that he could not keep the project finish on estimated time. They were there punctual and progress was readily be able to see each day. Jose and his team are professionals, they took time to cover up and move anything in the house that can be damaged or get dusty from the work. Upon seeing his skills and quality of work they performed, i asked if they can refinish my hard wood floor and they were also able to squeeze me in for it in short notice. I am a extremely happy first time customer of Munoz Construction LLC and many time frustrated customer of other general contractors. Jose Munoz will be my guy for any and all home repair and remodeling needs. My next project is Deck and Fencing, i will be scheduling it before they get too busy from other appointments! Took me a few days to get a response for my Angie's list request, but the rest was incredibly quick! Friday night I got the estimate, Saturday afternoon everything was done. Very satisfied with both price and quality.

It went very well and was completed in 4 days with his team of 5 people. also painted furnace walls and inside door of room under the garage. They did excellent work and were very professional. Jose is very good at problem solving and very personal. He wants the client to be satisfied. He understood that we plan to sell the house and would complete extra items.

Jose and his employees were extremely professional and I immediately felt safe with them in our home when we were out. Jose came over and did a full evaluation of our needs and desires and then provided us a competitive quote for the work. He was honest and educated us about everything he planned to do. He clearly prided himself in his work and took great care to make sure we were informed of all steps in the project and that he clearly understood what we wanted. They were timely and finished the project in the two days they stated it would take. There were a couple of small cosmetic pieces that my husband and I noticed after the job that Jose quickly addressed and made sure everything was up to our expectations. It ended up being an extensive electrical job, and they explained the installation as well and the circuit/breaker box and the changes/additions made. They did an excellent job pairing the ceiling and rooms. We will absolutely use Munoz for future home repair and expansion projects. Highly recommend.

We had Jose Munoz and his crew to renovate our kitchen late last year, and were so pleased with his services that we started thinking of more things we needed to do on our home. Again, working with this company was a great experience and we could not be happier with the work we had done. Jose is punctual, responsive, flexible and makes great use of time, always finishing the projects in the time allotted, and sometimes sooner. His crew members are polite and professional, and they clean up as they work, so that the home never gets too messy. They truly go the extra mile to make remodeling as stress-free as possible. And their prices are very affordable and reasonable. I only wish we had discovered Munoz construction years ago.

We could not have been happier with Jose and his crew! He did a fantastic job. He is honest, hardworking, and skilled. By far the best experience we've ever had with a contractor!!! Jose and his crew were completely reliable. They showed up on time each day. Always cleaned up after each day's work. One day it snowed and they shoveled my walkway (the entire walkway...not just the path to get to the back) without even being asked. Jose is highly skilled, and very thoughtful. He brought great expertise to our project. He foresaw potential problems before they arose, and was able to prevent them. We had a ton of electrical work (way more than anticipated) and he did an amazing job with it (all new dimmer switches, under-cabinet lighting, several new outlets, running lines to the electrical panel and putting new appliances on their own circuits, etc.). The detail work was impeccable (beautiful glass tile backsplash, installing pre-finished crown molding on the cabinets, patching hardwood floor). Jose was EXTREMELY FAIR with pricing and counting his time. We got the deal for 40 hours of labor for $1500, though we knew the project would take more than 40 hours. Jose quoted us a VERY FAIR price for all the time over the original 40 hours. He was very, very fair with counting his time. Very good about documenting his time and work each day in writing. Very good at estimating how much time tasks would take. Hire Jose Munoz and you will not be disappointed.

I had a very good experience working with Jose and his team. I found them qualified and very careful about their work. In addition, Jose was very attentive and wanted to make sure his crew did a good job. The job started and finished as planned. I plan to use him again for future projects.

I felt safe leaving the crew working in the house when I was absent. Some of the work completed for me included: Removing cheap 1960's panelling Putting insulation in the wall cavity (where there was none before) Installing dry wall where paneling had been Removed old "popcorn" ceiling and light fixtures - ceiling is now smooth and modern Installing me energy efficient recessed LED lights in the ceiling Painting family room, power room and office. Installing new carpet infamily room,power room and office Replacing all electrical outlet Installing cable junction box Installing new towel bar, toilet paper holder and mirror in powder room Removing all furniture prior to renovation and replacing all furniture at completion of job Covering all doorways with plastic to prevent dust getting out to the rest of the house. Install crown molding in family room Much more than I can detail here. Jose really aims to please. I'm saving up my money now for another renovation project in the future

Wow! Thats the first thing that comes to my mind about Jose Munoz! This man is amazing and very honest. He doesnt rip you off like many other contractors and his word means a lot to him. I have had many things done to my house in the past and on multiple occasions the contractor would start a job and 80% into the job they will tell me things like "we need this and that done so its going to cost you an extra x amount". That is not the case with Jose, he had a few unexpected surprises while doing this job for me but he didnt charge me extra. He stuck with his word and finished the job at the price we agreed upon from the start. Honestly I can not recommend him enough, I am thankful that I found him and will be saving his number for my friends, family and myself in the future. Please note: out of 6 quotes I got for fixing my window he was the cheapest. The job turned out perfect and well worth it!

Upon recommendation by a neighbor, I originally used Jose and Munoz construction to add some pot lights and do a few minor repairs around our house. When we were ready for major renovations, I asked Jose (and two others) for quotes. Jose's quote came in slightly above one of them and way below another (although that one included some design work) and knowing Jose's quality of work, we went with him. He renovated the original side of our home (built in the 1940's) by taking out a closet, pulling up carpet to expose hardwood floors (they were bright blue but Jose and his team made them BEAUTIFUL), removing a popcorn ceiling and adding lights, renovating two offices (added carpet to those) and renovated a full bathroom. We love our new spaces! We had to make quite a few of the decisions about the design (especially with the bathroom, I had to do all of the designs, selecting and picking up some of the items such as the vanity and toilet) and we contracted with a glass company for the glass wall shower but Jose did all of the demo, tile work, painting, and was VERY FLEXIBLE with our requests to add items to the original estimate. His team was friendly (they primarily speak Spanish but were kind and I always felt comfortable with them in our house) and they did a wonderful job of cleaning up after themselves. Jose is a busy guy and his team does quality work. He is sometimes slow at getting back to me with quotes and requests, but he's a busy guy who works hard so those are just minor inconveniences for the quality of the finished product! If I was somewhere where I needed a quick measurement or to ask a question of him about a product I was purchasing he'd always either answer his phone or get back to me quickly with the answer I needed. My only regret with posting this is that he'll be too busy in the future to continue with more renovations at our house!

Jose Munoz walked through the entire job site with my husband and me about a month prior to the arrival of his crew. He took very good notes and made some excellent suggestions. He provided us a list of materials that we could acquire ourselves ahead of time - which we did. Mr. Munoz and his crew arrived promptly and setup quickly. They took very good care of my home by using shoe covers, laying down tarps, and taping up plastic to reduce the drywall dust. The work took place over a day and a half - as projected. Everything was completed with care and looks excellent! I would definitely use this company again and would highly recommend them!

Jose Munoz arrived Monday Dec 15 with a second worker. They laid the piers, foundation joists & floor. They build the left & right sides, back & front. Tuesday Dec 16 Mr Munoz arrived with a second worker. They put up the roof rafters, trimmes out the front gable extension, then secured the building wtih tarps, as a hard rain started. Wednesday Dec 17 Mr Munoz arrived with a second worker. They put on the roof panels, installed the window & two screened vents. They put on drip edge & then shingled both sides of the roof. Mr Munoz even suggested that he use his roofing nail gun so the job would go faster at no increased cost to me. As darkness came, I got out two bright work lights, and they worked until 2 hours after dark. Roof was done, front doors installed. All-in-all an A+ rated company. They put in 3 hours for 2 men more than originally contracted, but I was billed an gladly paid for the extra time. I would recomend Munoz Construction for any construction/remodeling or roofing job you might have.

We have used Angie's List a lot, and we have never been happier with a service provider. We bought the Angie's List big deal for $1499 and Mr. Munoz came out to give us a free estimate before we bought it, so we would know whether we could afford to pay the difference for what we wanted done. Unlike many providers who basically use the Big Deals as a starting point and add on extra hours at a much higher rate, Mr. Munoz was willing to give us a reasonable rate for the work that exceeded the 40 hours we had with the Big Deal. The cost above included some of the materials as well. Mr. Munoz and his crew were professional, polite, and kept everything clean. They were punctual and worked with our short timeline and tight schedule. We definitely plan to hire Mr. Munoz and his crew to do more work for us.
