Completed in three days with only one rescheduling, which was no real issue. Jose put both myself and my wife at ease. The crews were efficient and courteous -- cleanup was perfect. Jose Munoz and his folks are the best.

Jose's crew is great. Worked several 12 hour days with only about 1/2 hour for lunch in order to beat the rain. Jose Munoz is a pleasure to work with, his work is well done, his prices are reasonable, and he guarantees his work.

I initially contacted José, as well as other contractors to finish the entire basement. During the estimate he was very thorough, you can tell he was very passionate and knowledgeable about his craft. He came up with great suggestions and detailed how he envisioned certain aspects. After researching, I decided the best route for me was to do some work myself and hire professionals for the big things. Since I really liked Munoz Construction from my previous estimate experience, I purchased the 'contractor for a week' deal (2 workers, 40 labor hours total) in order to complete the framing. Prior to the start of project, José came by, took measurements, walked me through the timeline and explained the materials needed. Upon the start of the project, José and his crew showed up right on time and carried the lumber from outside, down to the basement. Throughout the 'contractor for a week' deal (20 hours), the crew worked two 10 hour days. José came by a few times each day to check on things. After each day he walked me through what was completed and what was left. After the deal was completed (40 labor hours), 50% of the framing remained. I was quoted a fair price for the remaining work and the crew retuned the next day to finish the job. The last day, the crew, including José, worked hard for 11+ hours to get it done. Overall, I am very satisfied with the job Munoz Construction did. Particularly in the following areas: - In the half bath area, a waste pipe was awkwardly placed, blocking the door entrance. José brilliantly moved the pipe and framed around it. - The stars are pretty old and weak. José reinforced the stairs with lumber and now they are very sturdy. -The wall along the stairway. This is probably what makes José stand out from all contractors. He took 2X4 studs, crafted an amazing wall frame (the wall slopes along the stars). Every contractor and inspector that came by, complemented his work. The building inspector passed the framing with no issues. The crew did an excellent job and worked very hard. I don't think I was the best customer, as I could of praised their work more. José and his crew are very honest and highly skilled, I would gladly hire them again.

This was the second project that Munoz Construction did for us and as expected it went extremely well. Jose helped us with the design and with the process of getting approval from our HOA. He obtained all the permits and approvals we needed from the county and he kept us informed of his progress. The crew had to deal with several rainy days but they still got the work done quickly. We were very pleased with the result. Our new deck feels very sturdy and looks great. It was a pleasure to work with this company and we wouldn't hesitate to call on them again.

The weather cooperated and they managed to do everything on my list in the time allotted and they had time left over to repaint areas that were affected. I happened to have leftover paint for the areas required. It ranks among the best $1700 I have ever spent.

Excellent. Mr. Munoz responded to my request for information immediately, came the next day to evaluate the work and sent me an estimate the following day. His crew started work the following Monday and finished the project in 7 work days. In other experiences I have had with contractors, the workers show up for two or three days, then go off to work on other jobs before completing mine. In this case, Mr. Munoz's team worked straight through until the job was done. He stuck to his estimated price and did a complete walk-through with us to be sure that we were satisfied with the work before accepting final payment. We were very happy with the quality of the painting and delighted that his crew also possessed the plumbing and electrical skills to make some necessary repairs. Mr. Munoz is prompt, professional, has excellent communication skills. It has been a pleasure to work with him. We were so happy with his inside work that we have now contracted with him to build a deck. I highly recommend Munoz Construction.

Jose and team are quiet and hardworking professionals. Jose worked with me to scope out the work, price it and stuck to his estimates. We had them do a lot of work, and their prices are very good. Jose made sure that I got just what i wanted and helped me work with other contractors since my time is limited. The house looks beautiful!

The team did a really lovely job. They thought of things I hadn't mentioned, like moving the shelves in the laundry room to vacuum behind them, dusted my baseboards and window sills, etc.. They cleaned all of my floors, inside my windows, all of my appliances, deep cleaned bathrooms, and dusted everything. The team was very nice and courteous and felt completely comfortable with them throughout my house. I would definitely hire them again.

Jose's team is top-notch. I had previously hired them to renovate my office and laundry room and then had them to the kitchen renovation. It is not a full-service firm in that he does not have a designer. I did most of that and got the cabinets through a kitchen designer at Home Depot (also a great experience). However, I appreciated that Jose was willing to discuss even the smallest design decisions with me and we often made decisions on the fly. He is a perfectionist and would discuss the smallest detail with his team, and then inspect when the work was done. When one of the cabinet doors was wrong, Jose worked with the designer at Home Depot to rectify. His team is incredibly polite, they cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day, and they do very good work. I was very comfortable with them in my house even when I wasn't there. I was incredibly pleased with the final product. A few months after the work was complete, the kitchen sink started leaking and Jose sent someone over the next day to fix it. I hired Jose's team again recently to paint the exterior of my house and they are in the midst of renovating my master bath.

Jose came to my home to provide a quote and was able to start work within less than a week of my decision to move forward with him. The drywall on the ceiling on the top floor of my home had some nails popping out and some cracks starting to form from people walking around in the attic to do some work. So Jose and his team repaired and secured all of the ceiling drywall in our kitchen, living room and dining room and painted it for $975. Then they installed wainscoting in our basement office (20ft x 10ft room) and it looks amazing (an additional $975). Then they patched about 6 or 7 holes in the drywall from previous electrical work that was done ($375), installed a solid pine door for that office which had no pre-cut holes or notches and painted it ($375), painted the office ceiling ($200), and installed a few baseboards and quarter round in the kitchen ($75). With the 10% off Angie's List discount it came out to roughly $2700. Jose's team is extremely skilled and everything looks great! I am going to hire them again in a few months to replace all of our crown molding to match what's our kitchen and install it in all the bedrooms and office as well.

Jose and his team were extremely professional and knowledgable about home renovation and addition projects. Jose met with me and listened carefully to exactly what I wanted to produce as an end product. With little more than ideas and various pictures obtained from the Internet, Jose and his team converted my concept into one of the most amazing porticos I've ever seen on a single family home. Their attention to detail is impeccable, and their commitment to customer satisfaction is unparalleled. Throughout the entire process, Jose and his team kept me informed of each and every step. I will definitely be contracting with Jose and his team on future projects. The cost below reflects both the labor and materials, which I had special ordered.

We have discovered that the company owner, Jose Munoz, has high standards and will make his crews re-do any work --at no expense to the customer-- that is not done to his satisfaction even if the imperfections are not apparent to the homeowner. Jose's motto is that the job is not done until the customer is satisfied. And the company provides excellent value for the money! In the course of our whole house remodeling project we have dealt with other Angie's List contractors, mostly for specialty work like hardwood flooring and exterior doors that carry manufacturer warranties if installed by factory trained labor. To date, however, we have found Munoz Construction to be the 'gold standard' in terms of price, workmanship, and customer service, and we plan to continue to use them for the remainder of our remodeling project. We have included some images of the finished bathroom remodel, and a before/after shoot of our second floor landing that Munoz painted, framed, and installed a new pendant light in.

It is hard finding a good and reliable residential contractor in DC area! I did a lot of research and spoke with many contractors before discovering Jose Munoz. I have an old 70 year old house. Work was not easy, space is limited and I had a specific requirement that work is finished within a period of two weeks. Jose and his team were beyond great! Jose is very detail oriented and will suggest many good ideas and foresee potential pitfalls at the very beginning. He is very straightforward, honest and very easy to work with. If he makes a mistake he will fix it, without any arguments. His superintendents Anain and Gustavo are also very competent and very easy to work with. Jose did an excellent work inside and outside of my house, on time and executed everything with a great professionalism. The best part is that he understands his trade very well and is there for the Client not just for the money. Thank you Jose!

Great! We love our new den. Jose and his team did an excellent job. Jose is very meticulous and pays attention to all the details. He is very patient and easy to work with. He made sure we loved our den before finishing the job. We had some minor issues with adding some state of the art LED lights to the tops of the cabinets , that change color or can be white light, with a touch screen control, Jose worked with us to fix the issue. We are planning on a remodel of our kitchen and plan to have Jose do the install. His prices are good and a friend of mine that is familiar with construction said that this was some of the best work he has seen.

Munoz Construction was on time each day and professionally worked through without any incidents or complaints. They were in constant communications of what their plan is for the day, including what is to be expected for the next day and was not afraid to ask questions. We also welcomed suggestions which was offered and was happy to do additional work such as replace the garbage disposal at the last minute. Job was completed in a timely matter as planned. Would use the company again for other house projects.

The first floor guest bath was a partial-gut, replacing tile shower walls and floor, toilet and new fixtures. The second bath was a 4-piece total gut, replacing tub, shower, tile, floor, toilet, cabinetry and all fixtures. At the start of the project I was impressed with Jose's responsiveness and promptness. It took me a year to research and select a contractor in Loudoun County. I met with no less than 12 contractors. Jose won my business on responsiveness, price and commitment to the job. Anain and Armando worked in my home for just about 3 weeks on the two baths. Jose was there almost every day to ensure everything was going according to plan and ensure quality was maintained throughout. Jose's men were prompt, respectful, quiet, and hard working. I've never had a crew be at my home and be as courteous and respectful as Jose's team. The team asked questions of me along the way, as needed, and any changes to the work was discussed thoroughly before work was performed. We had a couple of minor issues come up with plumb and leveling due to initial construction on the home and Jose addressed this, offered me options, and priced the work fairly. Overall I was extremely pleased with Jose and his team and plan to hire them for another master bath project. I think the most important compliment that I can pay Jose is that I felt like our project was a partnership and we worked together to ensure that it was completed on time, on budget and with a high degree of quality. That's what I expect in a contractor and that's exactly why I will not only have him and team return to my home, but recommend him to others. Oh, and most importantly I love the way my new bathrooms look and the work is remarkable.

Amazingly, Jose finished the project on time despite setbacks beyond his control and last minute add-ons. He and his crew are priceless- they are dependable, professional, responsible, and above all, a pleasure to work with. I can’t say enough nice things about Munoz Construction- the quality of their work is superior. And I look forward to working with them again.

It went well and Mr. Munoz was very professional and punctual, all the work was done as per the standard guidelines. He would always listen to you concerns and will take care of them per our satisfaction. The flooring work was done on time and with minimal disruption to out daily lives. I would say that he is a an honest hard working professional.

Working with Jose and his team was wonderful. Not only were his men competent, friendly, and efficient they left my house clean and in excellent condition. Jose was prompt and timely with his communication. Much more so than any other contractor I've dealt with. I will be asking him to work on more projects in the future.
