I got a prompt estimate and did not even have to be home. I ordered the service and Mr. Stumpy called before arriving. He spent almost a whole day removing the stump. The work was completed in a very workmanlike manner. Unfortunately, I was not home when the work was completed and he just asked that I mail in a check. I did this promptly because I was so pleased with the entire experience.

Excellent - this is the 2nd time we have used Mr Stumpy. He does very good work, is very personablle, on time and very reasonable. Stronglt recommended.

Exactly as advertised. The job was done as promised on the day, and at the price agreed to. We knew we would be away that day and the work was performed just fine even in our absence.

Got a prompt reply to my request for and estimate. Estimate was much lower than those I received from large landscape/tree-service firms. Job was done well and on time and didnt leave a mess. I highly recommend that if you need a stump removed you should use Mr. Stumpy. You will be happy with the result, you will have paid less money, and your money will have gone to support a small business in our community. This one is a no-brainer.

He was fantastic. He was prompt, courteous and a pleasure to talk to. We called him only about one stump, but then asked him about the other two while he was at our house. He was happy to take care of those as well. He had a very fair price.

Mr. Stumpy gave us an estimate of $60 to remove one large tree stump (about 2' diameter) and one small tree stump (about 7" diameter), which I thought was an excellent price (another company quoted us $325). He said that his equipment would not fit through our fence gate and that a section of fence would need to be removed first. I asked him how much he thought someone might charge us for that, and after thinking about it a moment, he said he would do it for an additional fee. He did excellent work at an excellent price, all the while with a friendly and helpful demeanor. We couldn't be happier. I strongly recommend him.

Kerry, the owner of Mr. Stumpy, was terrific! The stump was huge, and further complicating matters was the fact that both a chain link fence post and an old iron bed post were buried deep inside the stump. I talked to two other contractors, who wouldn't touch the job because they were afraid the metal would damage their cutting tools. (In fact, they acted like the job was too small and "beneath" them.) Kerry came out and gave me a free estimate (I didn't need to be there for the estimate). When performing the work, he was on time, very friendly, and worked non-stop (almost all day) until the job was complete. He filled in the hole remaining, left me with a lovely pile of wood mulch for the garden, and told me that he would send someone else around the next day to pick up what was left of the stump. (It was too heavy for him to lift by himself.) Ordinarily, I wouldn't have paid him until the stump had been removed, too, but he seemed so honest and hard-working that I wasn't worried. Sure enough, the stump was gone the next day. He also cut down and removed an old metal sign post in the alley behind my property, free of charge. In short, if you have a difficult stump removal job that other contractors won't touch, Mr. Stumpy is your man! (By the way, he told me that ordinarily the job would cost less than $350, but the metal inside the stump complicated matters.)

I needed someone to help me with removal of a stump. The stump was easily accessible and perfect for uncomplicated removal. I noticed a commercially marked vehicle while out driving one day. The offered service was dedicated to just what I needed - stump removal. Even better, it was close by. The company's name stuck in my mind - Mr. Stumpy. So, I looked into it, got a quote and made arrangements. Two days later the stump was history. Mr. Stumpy prides himself in giving a quality service at a reasonable price. It's a pleasure to find someone who knows what he's doing, does it well, is cost conscious and treats customers like he'd like to be treated.
