Maid Bright

Maid Bright has been cleaning our house for about six months now and we are extremely pleased with the service that we've received. We have a set day of the month that they come out, and they have always been reliable to show up when scheduled. When we had a conflict with one of the scheduled days recently, Maid Bright was responsive to my email inquiry and worked with us in advance to schedule a different date for our monthly cleaning. The services provided include vaccumming carpeted areas, mopping wood floors, dusting, changing bed linens, and general cleaning of bathroom & kitchen areas. Depending on the cleaning team that comes out, there sometimes can be different special "touches" that I've noticed...towels on the towel bar in the bathroom are folded nicely, the toilet paper on the roll is folded like you are in a hotel, even organizing the shoes in my closet. All-in-all, we are very happy with the service that we've received from Maid Bright.

I was pleased with some of the extra effort such as cleaning the fireplace but was disappointed that two of my metal blinds were bent in multiple places and now require replacement. The blinds were not expensive but the fact that they were bent suggests a hasty/crude job.

They did a quick and very thorough cleaning. They are punctual, professional, and reliable. They do a nice job and are good people to work with. We are comfortable working with them.

I called Maid Bright with short notice and they fit me into their obviously busy schedule. They cleaned everything quite well. The only thing they said they will not clean was any dust around the fragile items on three shelves (they were concerned about potential damage). I was impressed with their detailed cleaning - they even cleaned the inside of the refrigerator, although that is not listed on their website as a service. All of the employees on the telephone and during the cleaning were exceptionally professional and friendly.

Owner came to give an estimate after touring my house. He was extremely courteous and professional and took the time to explain all the services that the company would perform as we went through the house. He estimated that it would take approximately 3 hours for 3 people to clean my house. He also emphasized that they do not like to overburden their cleaning crews with too many houses to clean, because they want to allow them to take the necessary time to do a thorough clean every time. The maids arrived punctually and were just like the owner, friendly and professional. They did everything that the website and the owner said they would do. They even moved light furniture (small tables) to clean the floor beneath and behind it. I felt very happy, relaxed and satisfied that I had finally found a quality house cleaning company that really cared about its reputation and did an exceptional job cleaning my house.

The gentleman who does most of the work came out, sat down with me, and went over everything in great detail. He walked through everything and did a really good job. I was really impressed that he told me everything about the service, as well as the license. They got my keys and cleaned. Everything looks good.

Over the years I have had several cleaning services. I had given up and was cleaning the house myself...along with the help from my kids. When I joined Angie's list I decided to search for another service and give it one more try. I have been pleasantly surprised. Maid Bright is wonderful. Excellent work. Perfection is definitely their goal. And, on top of that their prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend Maid Bright. The folks are kind and professional.

I met the owner to get the estimate. The overview of their approach was covered and an estimate was provided on the spot. When I called to schedule a cleaning they were very professional. The cleaning crew shows up once a month while I'm at work and do an outstanding job. I would strongly recommend Maid Bright.

The really do a good job in cleaning and the organization is good too. They not only do the cleaning but they also arrange the things in an organized fashion, so that has been very helpful. They do the general cleaning. They do an excellent job and they are on time when ever they come out. I think their price is reasonable.

Jay came to my house to provide an estimate on 3/2/11. He was very friendly and walked through the house with me to see what it entailed. He took the time to sit down with me and explain how the crew would clean each room, options for green cleaning, etc. He explained the estimate (initial cleaning is more expensive than the other cleanings) and told me that if I was happy with the price to call and schedule the initial cleaning. I called as soon as he left and scheduled service for the next Monday. While I was at work, the Maid Bright crew cleaned my house. I was very impressed when I came home and saw how clean my house was. I don't think I have ever seen my house so clean! The attention to detail was evident. Not only did the do the basic vacuum, mop, etc, they cleaned things I never thought to clean or didn't have time to clean (top of fridge, inside microwave and toaster). I will definitely use them again and have already set up bi weekly cleanings!

My experience with Maid Bright started great - in fact I submitted a glowing report on 11/3 for the company (in part to get an additional $25 off for doing so). However, I always felt the company was a little inflexible with the particular weeks that they could clean and with pricing (one reason I gave them a B on pricing which I felt was high). Normally I am charged $135 for the upper two floors and $165 for all three levels (our top floor includes 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths). Recently, I requested they clean 2 floors I normally don't have cleaned (basement and main) in order to prepare for a party. About 2-3 weeks in advance, I sent an email asking to adjust some cleaning dates and for the price to do the above work. The company never responded. So, about a week in advance of the party, I called and left a message and the owner, Jay, returned my call stating he didn't know about my request and would get back to me after he got into the office the next day. I also re-emailed the email. No response again. About 3 days before the event, I received a voicemail from the company finally giving me a price for the lower two floors of $115, only $20 less than pricing for the upper 2 floors. Considering it takes the girls sufficiently less time to clean the basement (30 minutes compared to about 1.25-1.5 hours to clean the top floor), I challenged that pricing as not being commensurate with the work being requested. Jay's response was that rising gas and operations costs prevented him with being any more flexible with the pricing. NOTE: my initial quote was given only 9 months ago and gas prices have gone down substantially and then only recently risen again. My argument was completely valid, so the owner finally stated he would agree to charge me less, $100 (what I thought was fair) for the work, BUT that effective immediately he would raise my regular rates to $165/$175. So, in a nutshell, the owner did not take well to being challenged to unfair pricing and then tried to gouge me for future work. All over a $15 dispute. I was also not happy with the lack of responsiveness to my email, because I felt Maid Bright purposefully did not respond so that they could try to hold me over a barrel in that I had a party only a few days away, so I would be forced to pay whatever they wanted. Jay also lied and told me he never received the initial email when the girl in the office admitted to me earlier they had received it but Jay was out of the country and she was not authorized to give prices and therefore she couldn't respond. Obviously - MAID BRIGHT IS FIRED for lying, unresponsiveness, and extremely unprofessional price-gouging tactics. If you are a company that has underbid your quotes for service and can't afford to work for the prices you quoted, you should contact your customers to explain your business dilemma and give notice that you are forced to raise prices. That is the professional way to handle such a problem and give your long-standing customers time to determine whether THEY can afford your problem and seek alternate solutions if they can't.

The folks at Maid Bright came out to give us an estimate for services- they gave us several options and pricings depending on the frequency of their visits. We decided on the one time service to try them out before committing to a monthly plan. They came and did a wonderful job. Then I called them again before we had house guests. This time they really went above and beyond- they folded all of our towels like they do in hotels, they organized my shoes in the closet and cleaned the house from top to bottom. Now we are going to use them monthly and their prices are really reasonable. They can usually come out the same week you call as well and it doesn't seem to be a problem booking. I will definitely use their services again and again.

This company has been cleaning my house every other week for around 6 months now, and I am very happy with them. They do a great job and I often get calls from the office just to check up on my cleaning service and to make sure I am satisfied with their work. The cleaning workers also ask me if all is to my satisfaction if I am home when they arrive. They are all friendly and courteous and seem committed to doing a great job. My husband is very picky, and he has had nothing but good things to say so far. I would definitely recommend these folks!

Also, we now have additional family members so it is very necessary to have them come each week. Their office staff has been sending emails quarterly to follow-up with the service and address any concerns we may have. The cleaning crew and office staff have been very easy to communicate with and coordinate around our busy schedules. My daughter is also older now and enjoys seeing the friendly cleaning crews that Maid Bright sends. It is always a pleasure to have them in our home!

They are always on time. Their crew is very friendly. I have a newborn now, so they pay more attention to the dusting, especially. They use green products. My baby is almost starting to crawl soon, so I don't want anything toxic around the house.

They always do a good job. I wish, however, that they were more responsive about specific requests. More than follow a standard cleaning "script," I'd prefer that they would focus more on some specific things that I never have (take) time to do--even if that means skipping certain tasks which I regularly take care of myself (such as cleaning sinks and toilets). I've talked both to the cleaners and to management, but they still basically stick to the "script." I'm sure it would help me communicate with the cleaners if I could speak Spanish. . . Anyway, I continue to use them, though, because they do well at what they do, and the price seems fair. I also like that they are bonded and insured, take care of taxes, and offer some benefits to their employees. When a porcelain faucet handle was accidentally broken while they were cleaning, they were very apologetic and the company deducted the replacement cost from that month's cleaning bill, no hassle at all. 2012 update -- Two years after first hiring them, I am contemplating switching services. Quality seems to have diminished. During 2011 there was one woman on the team that usually came to our house who did a very good, thorough job. But sadly she left the company just before Christmas.

I am a real estate broker, and my first experience with Maid Bright was when I had a client buy a new home that was out of the service area of the company that I normally use for this kind of work. I hired them to come in and do a complete pre-move-in cleaning as a service to my clients. They did such a good job that I decided to try them out on our own home. We have used cleaning companies on and off over the years (mainly off after having a number of less than great experiences!). My wife was skeptical about hiring a company again, but it was close to Christmas, and there was just not enough time to get everything done and still maintain sanity. The ladies of Maid Bright saved the day. They actually came on Christmas Eve! And to have my wife be "totally" pleased, is the best endorsement any company could ever have. She's happy (and so am I). They deserve and recieve our highest recommendation.

I called to schedule an estimate and Jay came right on time--spent about 40 minutes looking at the areas and sat down and gave me a thorough estimate. I wasn't in a hurry to have them come so I booked my first appt. about 3 weeks after. They arrived on time (I received a call the day before to confirm); stayed for 5 hours. Today, the day after, I received a follow-up call to see how it all went. Very well done from start to finish.

Excellent. I've been using Maid Bright since January 2010. The same crew ( a definite plus) cleans my home e/o Monday and it is a joy to come home from work and walk into a fresh and super clean home. The cleaning crew is honest and hardworking. Jay and the management team are incredibly responsive to e-mails and phone calls ( very few b/c there are no problems). I am completely satisfied with this company and I plan on continuing this service for quite some time. I think it is important to highlight that this company also offers health insurance and vacation days to its employees.

This service was a first time initial cleaning so it was a bit more expensive. They will come every other week now for $125 each time. I thought the price was a little high but after thinking about it a bit more, I decided that $250/month is more than worth my peace of mind! The ladies who came were about an hour later than I expected them but they were very friendly and did a fabulous job. We have 3 dogs and the hair that accumulates could make a fourth. My house was a WRECK and they went places I wouldn't have dared! I'm so looking forward to the next visit! They even accommodated me by doing my initial cleaning on a Saturday! Jay came out a few days before and gave me an estimate. He was very friendly and professional. THANK YOU MAID BRIGHT!!! :)

We have been using Maid Bright initially for weekly and currently for monthly cleanings since 2009, and we have been extremely pleased with the company and its staff. From the initial appointment with Jay, who was very professional and thorough in explaining the company?s services, to our calls with Sanaz, who is similarly professional and helpful, to our interactions with their two-person crews, we have had only positive experiences. Maid Bright has been extremely accommodating of our sometimes erratic schedules and our request to be present at home during the cleanings. We would not hesitate to recommend this company and are thrilled with how clean the house is after every visit.

They did a great job they were just a little pricey. I would use them again if it wasn't for the price.

I called Maidbright on Friday the 22 October and Jay was able to come out that day to provide an estimate. He is extremely courteous and professional. He had everything available for me to see including his bond/insurance information - some contractors don't have this on hand and I appreciated that I didn't even have to ask him for it. He just had it there for me to see. He went over everything the cleaning crew would complete and provided me with a quote at that time. I scheduled a cleaning right then and there. They were able to fit me in for a Monday cleaning which worked out perfectly with my schedule. The cleaning crew came Monday afternoon and worked for 3 hours non-stop. They were extremely friendly and they were extra nice to my dog. She is interested in everyone that comes over. I appreciated that too. My house was immaculate when they finished and I've started monthly cleanings with them.

Maid Bright has always been extremely professional and very responsive. They have now been cleaning my house for a couple of months, every two weeks, and we alternate 2 floors one time and 3 floors the next. I get the same cleaners every time, can have my credit card charged, and I've never had an issue with anything missing so far. They have always shown up when promised and have been pretty much on time. This house is bigger than my last and, as expected, the price for cleaning went up a bit, but it is not unreasonable. The quality of cleaning is very good - sometimes there are things that are missed or that I have to point out, but if I mention it, the problem is corrected. I generally find that I do need to focus the cleaners on something that was not done to my satisfaction the prior cleaning or that just needs attention, but I think that is normal and just necessary to make things work (e.g. clear communication).
