We have Maid Bright come every two weeks to do a house cleaning. They are always cordial, polite, and thorough. The one time that I was not pleased with a dirty floor, they came back the same day to fix the problem. The receptionist is always polite and tries to fix any issues that I have. The initial estimate was extremely helpful because the owner went over each room and made suggestions about how to prepare the house for the cleaners. All I can say is that I look forward to cleaning day every two weeks!

Good: they did a good job on the first couple of visits. Their system is organized and the maids are punctual and polite. Bad: after a couple of months, they started doing a poor job cleaning my apartment. My bed was left unmade, clothes unfolded, dirty glasses were left on the table and dishes were not washed. They were always very good at following up and addressing our concerns, but I felt like some basic issues simply should not happen to begin with. The maids stayed in my home for about 1-1:30h and I feel that it was not enough. I lived in different cities and used different cleaning companies and feel like I never had to deal with such basic issues. As I used their services more, I changed my opinion from "great" to "just okay" job. I also note that Maid Bright gives you an additional discount if you write a review. While people might be really happy with the service, I feel that this system has the potential to distort their grades.

We have been using Maid Bright since July of 2010 on a bi-weekly basis. We are expecting a baby this coming spring so there is a lot going on in our household. During the past holiday season, we had many visitors from out of the country and we were in need of an urgent cleaning to accomodate all of our guests. We called Maid Bright to request a last minute cleaning and they were very prompt in responding to our request during the busy holiday season. Nowadays, since I am working from home, the cleaning crew always checks with me to make sure everything is to my satisfaction. With Maid Bright's exceptional service, I have one less thing to worry about!

We've used MaidBright for weekly cleanings for about two months. We had some initial complaints - we didn't have the same crew at cleanings and there were some issues with scheduling. However, Maid Bright's management was very quick to address our concerns and very responsive, which has prompted us to stay with Maid Bright. The quality of cleaning is good and the price is very fair.

Overall, I was very pleased with them. My home has some elements in it that need special care, and an employee came out to make sure the products they have won't hurt any of the items in my home. The job did take two hours longer than anticpated, but the employees worked hard to make sure everything was done. However, I knew that it would take longer, so it was not a problem. They were able to clean everything well without damaging anything and they did a good job!

The staff arrived on time, provided identification and got to work immediately. They worked out with me which rooms to tackle first, and at various times asked that I check the work completed to see if I was satisfied.
Description of Work: First time cleaning by this company of my four bedroom, 2 1/2 baths house. The cleaning staff was very professional and did a very good, thorough job, including opening the windows and cleaning the inside and outside of the window sills. They have a checklist and they complete all the items listed. I should also mention that the initial visit by the company representative to provide an estimate was conducted in a professional manner with detailed information on the services provided. I will use them again.

I have been very please with Maid Bright. I looked through several companies on Angie's List, made calls, and Maid Bright responded promptly and professionally. While some other companies either gave me super-high quotes, or didn't return calls; Maid Bright responded to set up a meeting in my house. Initially, I thought this would be inconvenient, but it turned out to be the selling point. The representative walked around the house, making notes, and talked to me about the service, their employees, the type of materials used in cleaning, and then sat down with me to craft an estimate. I found the estimate for every-other-week service to be quite reasonable, and set up my first service date on the spot. The first cleaning, which always costs more than regular cleaning, was still not as high as other services I've used in the past. The crew did a very good job. The house was clean and dusted. All of the trash cans had small liners in them. The house smelled really fresh. I even enjoyed that the crew crimped or folded all of the tissues and toilet paper rolls, like what you might see in a hotel. The day after my first service, I received an email from Maid Bright, asking about my experience, and seeking feedback. At the time of this review, I have had two subsequent visits by Maid Bright, and I am pleased every time. I would highly recommend Maid Bright. The company is run very professionally, and I appreciate the outreach to make sure that you're satisfied.
Description of Work: Full-house cleaning, which includes kitchen, dining room, living room, foyer, 1/2 bath, stairs, three bedrooms, full bath, office and carpeted stairs to the attic.

We have bi-monthly service from MaidBright. I spent a good bit of time researching companies and decided to go with them based on the many positive reviews. We have generally had a good experience. The cleaning crew consistently does a good job, although I would not call it great. My house is clean, but not spotless. The cracks and crevices are often overlooked, but due to the good price, the ease of use, and the consistency, we are regular customers.

I was thoroughly pleased with the service provided. The gentleman who came to provide the estimate was very detailed in his explanation. The crew actually arrived earlier than the agreed upon date calling to make sure it was OK first. They did a great job. After doing A LOT of research on Angie's list, I was finally able to narrow down my search for a cleaning service to just one company, Maid Bright. I suppose I had pretty high expectations since there have been so many terrific reviews of Maid Bright Services on Angie's List so far, but I have to say, Maid Bright did not meet or exceed my expectations. Jay, the owner of the company, came out to provide an estimate for service - he did a great job and I appreciated his professionalism and the attention to detail that he and his company address, including license/bonding and routine background checks on their employees. Maid Bright sent out two people to clean my home, they were on time and went right to work. I suppose all seemed fine until after they left when I noticed several areas they had missed. For example, one of the cleaning crew had a bloody nose and I found droplets of blood in both the master bathtub and on the bathroom floor. There was stray pieces of cat kibble from the previous owners' cat on the kitchen floor, the drawers inside the freezer were not cleaned and when I opened up the top kitchen cabinets, there was a cabinet that had leaves, spider webs and a bottle of poison ( I guess the previous owners hadn't bothered checking/cleaning the top cabinets either!). I understand that the cabinet was pretty high and the cleaning crew did not bring a ladder, but they could have borrowed my ladder or else let me know at the time that they could not reach the top cabinets. In addition, the cleaning crew missed some spots on the windows and generally left me thinking I could have done the same work myself and saved myself money. Really, I wanted Maid Bright to do a great job because I was really hoping to have them come in to clean routinely, but this trial run did not work out as hoped. In all fairness and to provide some balance for this review, Maid Bright management really did seem to care about the services they provided and they did call me back a few days later to receive feedback on the service. I think I may have told them about the kitchen cabinets and maybe about the freezer drawers not being cleaned and they DID offer to send someone out to redo the work. In all fairness, I did decline their offer since I had address these issues myself and certainly not worth having someone come back out to the house to address.
Description of Work: Maid Bright sent two cleaners to do a deep clean of the home prior to move in. The cleaners were to clean the whole house, with special attention to the windows, cupboards, and the inside of the refridgerators and freezers.

The company was very responsive to my inquiry, arranging to send a rep to discuss the service within 48 hours. The intake process was very smooth. The rep who set up the first cleaning was friendly, informative and the model of professionalism. He arrived at my home, iPad in hand, and explained what we would cover during his visit. We did a walk-thru of my home and I explained what I needed done, including my desire to have my own cleaning product used. We then sat down and began going through a check-list of what Maid Bright provides in terms of housekeeping services. Nothing I was hoping to have done would be a problem. He also noted a few "special requests" I asked for (paper booties to be worn in the Master Bedroom when cleaning, changing the shower curtains in the Master Bath, etc.) and built these into the contract. We discussed pricing and, here again, I found their offer to be very reasonable -- well within the market rate. Everything was handled electronically within a 45 minute time frame. The Cleaning Team arrived the next day for the first cleaning (a lucky break) and I was pleased enough to schedule another two cleanings. All three times the same team has been dispatched. I see this as a huge plus! The rep checked back with me after each cleaning to obtain any feedback I had. I shared a couple of small adjustments I wished them to make and these were attended to during the subsequent cleanings. As mentioned above, not knowing when - within the 2-hour time frame - the team might arrive makes it hard for me to work effectively when they are scheduled to service my house; otherwise, I would rate them highly and definitely recommend the service.
Description of Work: The company has provided housekeeping services...and this is the third time I have used them. While there are a couple of minor things I wish to see improved before giving a solid "A" Rating, I am generally very pleased with the service. The team does a good job of cleaning the kitchen, taking good care with the stove and the granite counter tops. The bathrooms and other areas are also cleaned to my satisfaction. They use the supplies I provide and seem very willing to accept feedback, when offered. My chief concern is the two hour "window" rule. The dispatcher cannot give me an actual arrival time for the cleaning team, but instead promises they will arrive within a two-hour window -- 8 - 10 am or 2 - 4 pm, etc. I work from home and my prior service provider could assure me a set day and order in their daily schedule such as, "first house every other Tuesday. "This allowed me to plan my day around the time the team was due to arrive -- within 30 minutes, give or take.

I have been using Maid Bright's services for about 16 months. I am very pleased with the quality and the consistency of their work. Their office and cleaning staff are easy to work with and very responsive when I have requested changes in my cleaning schedule. And they have gone above and beyond when needed. About nine months ago, I had emergency surgery. My scheduled cleaning day happened while I was recovering in the hospital. I emailed Sanaz to let them know that I hadn't been able to tidy the house, but asked for the cleaners to do the best they could. When I came home from the hospital, not only was my house clean, but they had washed the dishes and helped tidy up the bedroom. It meant a lot to me that they went the extra mile. I look forward to continuing to work with Maid Bright.

They have come late in the day both times, but the workers are efficient and very hard-working. We are going to keep them as our regular maid service because I really like the cleaners.

Truly outstanding work. I've never used a maid service before but my husband and I both work very long hours during the week and wanted to spend more time together on the weekends. This afforded us that. I was a little hesitant just because it seemed a bit snobby to have a maid but let me tell you, it is very worth it. I love having my weekends free and though I consider myself a very good cleaner but wow, these ladies did an outstanding job. And I loved the little details...folding toilet paper ends and making little tissue fans...very cute! I especially love the deep scrubbing they gave my kitchen and bathrooms. We have been using Maid Bright for months and I can say they are the best company we have worked with in regards to routine house cleaning. We used another company that came out 3 times before and broke our coffee pot the first time, chipped our office desk the next time, and broke a clock the time after that. They never paid for any of it. Needless to say Maid Bright was a breath of fresh air. Consistency, that is the key, they consistently come out and do a good job cleaning our house. Other companies seem to get lazy and do a sub par job over time. Not them, they are honestly the best I have worked with.

My initial review of this company was positive until the last cleaning service. Per my previous review submission, I was very displeased with the lack of professionalism on behalf of one of the individuals cleaning our home. However, I was contacted on various occasions to discuss the issue and was not charged for that particular service date. I appreciate the follow up and while I was disappointed with my interaction the last time, this company does make every effort to rectify issues and ensure customer satisfaction to the best of their ability.
Description of Work: Complete cleaning of a 3-level townhouse, excluding interior cleaning of our refrigerator/oven/windows.

I recently completely renovating my row house in downtown DC. I hired Maid Bright for the post construction cleaning because I use them regularly at my own house. All of the cupboards, baseboards, and surfaces were dusty due to the renovation. The team of two people spent about five hours to clean this property from top to bottom, paying attention to the intricate details. They got the property ready to move right into! I will highly recommend them to my prospective tenants.

I have had 5 services and all were very good. They are prompt and once a routine is agreed to they follow through without reminder. Once a blind was damaged and the owner replaced it the next day at my convenience. It is important that even though humans do things, the company stands behind. I recommend to anyone who wants a quality house cleaner.

This is an updated review. Maid Bright did offer me a free cleaning to see if they could change my thoughts about their service. I do appreciate that, and they were professional throughout. However, I feel that, as detailed below, I gave them two additional chances (three total) to provide acceptable service and they did not. In addition, I could not allow a service to come into my home that attaches a client's full name to their house keys. I was told at the initial meeting that they do not do that, but when they showed up to the third attempt to clean, my full name was on my keys. I feel that is a serious security concern. So, while I appreciate that Maid Bright offered a free cleaning, I felt it would not have made me comfortable having them in my home I called a few housecleaning services to schedule monthly cleaning. Maid Bright was a bit more expensive than the other services, but based on the good reviews on Angie's list and the professionalism of the estimator, I hired them. I gave them two simple requests: don't remove the trash from the trash cans (the trash in my building is locked, so the can't take it out) and return the guest parking pass when they leave. Both of these requests were clearly written on the contract. Visit 1: The first cleaning they came. I got home, and the house was clean. However, the trash had been taken out of the trash cans and left on the kitchen floor. I cannot tell you how disgusting I find it to come home to a "clean house" only to have to re-clean the floors because the house cleaners have left trash on the floor all day. They also had taken my parking pass with them, which was a pain because I needed it the next weekend. I made two simple requests - both of which were written on the estimate and neither of which was carried out. I emailed them and they apologized and said they'd make a note of both requests again and someone brought my parking pass back the next day. OK, mistakes happen. Visit 2: After visit 1, they had emailed to confirm that I wanted monthly service and the dates. I emailed them back to say the schedule they laid out worked for me. Day of visit 2 came, but they didn't. I emailed them to ask what happened and they apologized for the inconvenience, saying they "actually never received your confirmation email". They offered to come the following Saturday. I said OK, great. I will note that later when I spoke to them, they said that they missed the cleaning because of hurricane Sandy (the cleaning was Nov. 13), then they later followed up with an email saying that they had "accidentally added [me] to a wrong date". So, I really don't know what happened or why they didn't show up. Visit 2, part 2: Flip to Saturday. They call the day before to confirm and give me a window. Good sign, right? I get home 45 minutes after the window had closed and no cleaning had been done and no cleaners were in sight. I had also not received a call or email telling me they would be late. They did finally show up about 30 minutes later. Usually I wouldn't know or care what time the team comes. But it was a Saturday and I had vacated my home to give them time to clean only to have them not show up on time. And they had provided substandard (or no) service the other two times I (tried) to have them clean. So, I asked for my keys back on the spot. I had only (tried to) have them come out to clean three times, and all three times they provided less than acceptable (or no) service. The only reason I didn't give them an F is that the one time they actually did come they did an OK job. One other disturbing issue is that when I got my keys back, they had my full name attached to them. They had assured me that they had some sort of number system so that if the keys got lost, they can't be identified as belonging to your house. I guess not. When I said this to them, they said that it was because they were working on Saturday this week and it was not my usual crew and that they had two cleanings with people with the same first name, so they had to put our names on the keys. It made no sense - if they use a number system, why would they need to put my whole first name on my keys. I will say that they did call to apologize on the following Monday. However, while these three things can happen, going 0 for 3 in your first three scheduled visits just gives me no confidence in your service.

They always come when they are expected and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. They are very quiet. If I am not home, they just come in and complete the work. If I forgot to put the dogs up, they will put them in the basement for me. If the dog beds are a bit smelly, they will put them on the back porch to air. They are also very reasonable. My mother uses their services as well.
