Falls Chruch Paving just completed a reaving of our driveway and a portion of our shared pipestem. It was great working with George Small, the President of the company, and his crew were diligent, professional and focused on the work at hand. George is a good man, and he worked with us on pricing so that we could get the repaving done. The repaving looks great, and I appreciate working with George and his crew. I highly recommend Falls Church Paving. The crew was friendly, they cleaned up the area and did a professional job.

Responsive and helpful in fixing additional issues related to the driveway

The work was done very quickly and well. They came out and discussed what we needed and what it would look like. Then revisited it before even starting the work. It looks great!

Mr. George Small the owner came out himself to give me an estimate for putting in a new driveway. He was not pushy and was very respectful. He explained the process and answered my questions. He gave me a verbal estimate which he followed up a few hours later with a written estimate. After he left I had another company come out with an estimate which prompted me to ask additional questions of Mr. Small. He was very responsive in answering my calls in a very timely manner. Once I signed the contract he scheduled the work. The crew showed up as scheduled and finished the job in one day. All the crew members were polite and friendly. You could tell they worked together for a long time because everyone did what they were supposed to do without being told. I only found out later who the supervisor was on the team. Removing a driveway and replacing it is a messy job, but the crew completely cleaned everything up before they left and were very respectful of my property. I can not recommend Falls Church Paving enough. The communication was excellent with Mr. Small and the crew, which is very important to me. The whole experience was so wonderful because it went so smoothly. I credit Mr. Small with knowing exactly what needed to be done and having a wonderful, experienced crew to execute the job.

George and his crew replaced our 26 year old asphalt driveway. It was in desperate need of replacement, and his crew was able to get it completed in a half day - and did an excellent job. Our neighbor saw his work and hired him to replace their driveway as well. We're both very happy with the work, and George was very helpful and communicated with us throughout the process. His price was very reasonable as well. Definitely recommended!

I recently contracted with Falls Church Paving to replace our driveway. The owner and all of his staff was very responsive, helpful and nice throughout the whole process. The workers were very careful to not hurt my plants that lined the driveway which I really appreciated. Everyone was respectful of the COVID rules and wore their masks which made me feel very comfortable. And the driveway looked great! Their pricing was very reasonable and competitive. I highly recommend this company if you need any paving services.

Falls Church Paving did a great job. Overall, they delivered on what was proposed. The company was easy to contact. Estimator came to the property promptly and wrote the proposal. Work was scheduled and the crew completed the work in an expedient manner. The prep work was completed better than expected with minimal impact to yard surrounding the drive. Could not see any seems in the paving. Interface with the driveway and the street were exact (no gaps). Driveway was water tested to ensure proper drainage. Crew completed all the hand tamping and left the work site with no issues. Hard to tell they just finished paving the entire driveway. My driveway was widened, repaved, and is now beautiful (interesting adjective, but it really is beautiful).

We had an old driveway that needed to be resurfaced as well as widened. I rejected other companies because they were not focusing on the sub-base for the new section. FCP not only promised, but also delivered a perfect product -- from sub-base of stone and asphalt to the final top layer in exactly the shape and dimensions we required. The whole crew was experienced and worked with me to make this a perfect job.

No Call No Show for Estimate. Gentleman I spoke with told me he would stop by and see me the following day to provide an estimate. He took down my name, phone number and address. Crickets. Granted, he seemed busy as if he was on the road. Maybe he jotted down my info and misplaced it. He said he couldn't promise a time of day that he'd arrive to which I replied, we're sheltering in place so come anytime (Covid Pandemic). The next company I called was answered by a gentleman who also seemed very busy. He even asked me to hold for a moment so he could pull over and get my info. This other company showed up as promised, is highly reviewed on Angies List and got the job. I considered calling Falls Church Paving back again, but I've learned my lessons the hard way over the years. If you're having problems when they should be trying to earn your business, just imagine how it's going to go after you give a deposit? Maybe things would have gone great if given another chance, but I moved on. Unfortunately I must provide a Rating (A-F) so I chose "C" to be as neutral as possible.

Pros: Estimator and crew performing work were very prompt in getting scheduled. Sealing spray was oil-based which soaked into old driveway completely returning it to its "as-laid" black color. Did two coats on main driveway where it receives worst weather. Cons: A bit on the pricey side but really worth the extra for what is a nice finish. A single 1/2" crack that went perpendicularly across the driveway was not satisfactorily filled and crew returned for second filling. Unfortunately new filler material has turned white in places spoiling an otherwise first rate piece of work.

Falls Church Paving did an excellent job on our driveway. George, the owner, went way beyond what we expected. All of his crew are experts at their work. The old driveway was completely removed, a new gravel foundation was packed in, and quality asphalt was rolled over the top. The crew paid great attention to details, like the forming and tamping down of the edges. George is a man of his word who delivered a top quality asphalt driveway.

We were about to put our house on the market and had been dreading getting our crumbling and cracked driveway fixed. It's a long driveway and we expected it to be extremely expensive. We called Falls Church Paving and owner, George Small, was at out house the next day to give us an estimate. To our great relief, the price was much lower than we expected and George was super friendly and easy to work with. He even offered to fix the masonry on our front walkway, free of charge! With George you feel like your working with an old friend. We expected to then go through the office for scheduling the work, and thought that if we got our driveway paved within 2 weeks we'd be lucky. Again, we were blown away when George called back that same day and said his crew would be at our house in an hour or so to knock it out. Wow. The guys came and did the work fast and efficiently, no fuss no muss. The end result was amazing. It easily took 10 years off the first impression of our house as you drive up. Like the best facelift you can imagine. If you're looking for curb appeal, the first thing you should do is give Falls Church Paving a call.

I called, the estimator called back and said he would come by. I said I have a gate so he needs to let me know when he is coming. Never heard from him again. Their website states "No Job Too Small" but I got the feeling that isn't the case. If the estimator can't even show up how do you think the actual work would go? In any event a big fat waste of time.

Probably the best review is if someone tried your service once and then uses it again. Falls Church Paving did two jobs for me. The first job was resurfacing a driveway and resolving a run-off problem. That went very well. The second job, at another property, was adding a parking pad off an existing driveway. I was concerned that it would look “added on”. Not only did it look as if it had been designed that way originally but the entrance was far more gracious than it was originally. I was blown away by the work performed by Falls Church Paving Company. They returned my initial call in less than 24 hrs and began our project within 2 business days. Unlike the other companies that I received quotes from, Falls Church Paving used a crew of 4 to 5 and over $100K worth of equipment to include a paving machine and a vibratory roller. FC Paving removed and hauled away my existing 20 yr old driveway, installed 21A stone gravel base and widened the right and left sides of my driveway using 3" of asphalt. I was impressed with their precision and workmanship - especially after speaking with several contractors who were going to lay asphalt on top of my existing driveway and only hand stamp - no paving machine or roller - at a higher cost no less! Falls Church Paving even let me purchase PVC piping for my invisible fence at the end of my driveway and they didnt charge me extra to bury, install and reconnect it! I would highly Falls Church Paving for any Asphalt work.

Amazing! They sent someone out the day after I called to give me an estimate. Unlike other companies, they listened and proposed a solution that was right for me. They told me I didn’t have to spend a bazillion dollars tearing up my old concrete driveway because it was in decent shape in all but one area (where it met the carport). I’d mentioned that I don’t plan on living here past 10 years, plus houses in this area are typically bought by developers and torn down when sold. Asphalt over concrete doesn’t typically last as long but it was more than enough for me. Removing the concrete would have more than doubled the cost. Best of all, they had a work crew in the area that showed up THE SAME DAY and the job in a few hours as dusk fell. They even filled a trench with stone dust for a walkway I’m building and compacted it for free, saving me the hassle and cost of renting a machine. Way beyond expectations.

As the work was being done, the owner George and his son Trey were on site most of the time and the crew and supervisor were very nice. Our driveway was rather large and flat. Falls Church Paving did a nice job and we are very happy with the work. I read the other reviews about poor communication and I did not experience that. I would hire them again. Their price was great compared to the other estimates I got.

I got 3 estimates. As usual, my husband chose the least expensive. I made the appointment with the woman who answers the phone. The estimator "Sami" did not show up even though I waited all day. He came on a later date and left an estimate with his cell number. He told me when I called that he never got the message, and to deal only with him. He called me "honey" which I found extremely rude. My husband called him and they met to go over the work which was scheduled. A deposit check was written. We moved the vehicles to make way for the work team and equipment. No show on the planned day, and no return calls from me or my husband. I was getting worried. Few days later, trucks, men, and equipment showed up. Work began early. Those men were amazing. Driveway is gorgeous. Initial planning: great Communication: awful Actual labor and materials: VERY GOOD

They sent out an estimator a few days after contact. Was quoted at $6,000. However, George (the owner) came out a week later and quoted me at $7,000. They came out the next day to dig out the slope. Unfortunately, there was a delay but they were able to come back Monday (3 days later) and finished the job. The work was done incredibly well. In the end, you pay for quality and this company really knows what they're doing. The only bumps were not having it done sooner and the price increase. But, otherwise, I would recommend them if you wanted something done right.

1/24/2017 Emailed Falls Church for estimate on driveway replacement. 1/25/2017 George Small called setup an appointment for that evening. George showed up on time answered all of my questions and concerns provided an estimate for our driveway. I asked George when they would start he stated tomorrow morning. 1/26/2017 George Small and his crew showed up around 9:30 as we discussed the night before and started and completed driveway (width of a 2 car oversized garage) not an average driveway by 5:30pm. Very satisfied customer. It was great to have a company and owner that is committed to customer service and providing an excellent product. Would recommend to anybody.
