Work was not performed

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I was very happy with their work. The price was fair. They were very accommodating for special projects.

It went well. Scheduling was flexible. Work was professional and neat with little disruption for us.

This contractor appeared to be unable to follow up on scheduling an appointment. I do not wish to speculate on the reasons. I obtained a refund on my $75 Angie's list big deal.

Hisham was prompt, pleasant, careful and efficient. I am quite meticulous, so yes, I spent time in the evenings on some very small issues issues myself, making sure absolutely no fine droplets stayed on the floor, for example. He also patched a bathroom wall where a cabinet had been, with drywall, before painting the wall. You can't tell it was patched now that the wall has been painted -- not trivial, as my house is old (1942), with plaster & lath walls.

Excellent job, fair and prompt, Repair turned out great, would use them again in the future.

It was a nice job. He did two coats and he did it in one day.

She was absolutely terrific and helpful in finding me the right color that I want. I went there with a portion of my cushion and some inspiration pieces and she worked with that. When I left I exactly knew the colors that I wanted.

Don't count on them to respond. Only count on them to take your money on the pre-paid Angie's List scam of the day.

They did a good job. The quality and price were good. It did not take a lot of coats.

We purchased the Big Deal which gave us 3 hours of Plaster/Drywll repair. I contacted VPS by the number provided on my Big Deal receipt and left a message. The next day I got a return call and we set a appointment for 3/30/12 for this individual to come out and do some plaster repair that we discussed over the phone. He wasn't very pleasant to speak to, he didn't seem interested but in the end he agreed to come. On 3/28/12 we tried to contact him to confirm the appointment and time at which point the phone number had been turned off. We tried e-mailing and got no response. So we weren't terribly surprised that he never showed on the 30th however we took off from work anyway just in case. Don't bother with this company, find someone else!

I purchased a Big Deal for 5 hours of general carpentry, including drywall. My purpose was to repair a ceiling that had been broken through by a wrong step in the attic. After a short period of time while we were trying to arrange a date, we received a notice that the deal for service had been changed to another business since the original, Virginia Painting Service, could not honor the deal. I'm not sure if they were overwhelmed and undermanned or something else but I don't expect to use them again for future work. The second company is scheduled to perform the repair later in April.

I emailed him on February 9th and then he emailed back to call him. I emailed him on February 14th to get his phone number. I emailed and called him to set up a date and I have not heard from him since. I did talk to him on the 14th and he said he would get back with me but he has not.

I signed up for the Big Deal which was 5 hours of general carpentry for $125. I e-mailed them immediately to set up an appointment and got an e-mail back the next day stating they would contact me sometime in March when they were going to start working in my area as compared to Richmond. That was 5 weeks ago. This is a scam! I am trying to get my money back.

Several emails and phone calls later I got a call back and scheduled the work for that weekend. He did try to accomodate my schedule since the door installation was to be a birthday present for my son. He called the day of the job to say he was running late and would be there shortly and to tell me to bring 2 tubes of caulk. My son's roommate was home at the time and we were on our way over to meet the contractor. Apparently he showed up, said he rang the bell then left. He did not call us to say he was there because we would have told him to begin the work because we were on our way over ( a 10 minute ride). We waited and waited. I had no idea he came and went as he did not return my phone calls (3 ) to find out where he was. When he did call back several hours later he argued that he was there and no one was home. He told me to call back in a few weeks and he would see about scheduling another time to do the work. I said that would not work and that I would be contacting Angies list for a refund. He said ok then hung up. Very disappointing service and lack of customer service. We were left waiting around the house with a door and no installation and no brithday present.

I purchased the "Big Deal" from Angie's List for 5 hours of carpentry work for $125. I called this company 4 times, leaving voice messages asking that they return my call to schedule time to do the work. I also left 3 emails. No response at all...there was no "out of office" response on the email, nor was there an out of office message on the voice mail of the phone number I called.I received a terse voice message on Saturday telling me to contact Angie's List for a refund. No apology for the inconvenience. No attempt to schedule the appointment.Horrific customer servce. Absolutely NOT customer-focused. Stay away from this vendor.

Just fine New colors look great

When I called to inquire how long their wait period was to get the work completed if I bought the Big Deal,I was told that it would be two months before they could get to me with the coupon, however, if I wanted to pay full price they could do it next week. This does not seem like a good deal at all. Needless to say, I will not be buying the coupon and will be looking for another company to hire. I would have given very different grades if the company wasn't obviously pushing coupon purchasers to the back-burner.

Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we highly recommend this company.

Sami did a good job and honor his word for completing the job within the same week. There was no paint on my wood floors and he cleaned up after himself.

A communication error on my part. Vendor is coming this week. I'll update after that visit.

It was through the big deal. It was particularly a challenging job because we have wire shelving and the washer as well as the drier is kept there. We didn't want them to be removed and he did an excellent job. I was really pleased with the work he did. He was very thorough and had an eye for detail. I could have done it but I didn't want to paint around those wires. I actually gave him the option of not painting behind the washer and the drier but he asked if I'd help him move the units out and he painted all the way down to the trim. I recommend him. I got a discount but I guess even the normal price would have been a fair price. I didn't compare and shop with other painting companies. I thought it was a good deal. They got back to me but sometimes it took a couple of hours for them to respond.

Very Fast, trustworthy, worked on Saturday and Sunday to get the job done on time.Cared about his final product. Highly recommend!
