The Cleaning Authority - Richmond

We have been using The Cleaning Authority for over a year and we are very satisfied with the services we receive.

This was a product that I purchased in 2012 and I just took advantage of it today, almost 3 yrs later. Thanks for honoring your word. They did a really good job in the promised amount of time, they showed up before the scheduled time and completed the cleaning in the required time. Thanks to Doris and Belinda, you both did a really good job.

After having to reschedule an estimate twice and having phone calls/messages go unanswered by the owner of the company I was finally given a date for initial service. While their estimate came in higher than other cleaning services we have tried my husband and I are willing to pay more for excellent service so we decided to give them a chance. SO right off the bat, they were two hours late and didn't bother to call to give me an update or reason why they were running behind etc. OK, things happen, lets see how they clean! The first clean was supposed to be a general clean of the "dry" areas and a detailed clean of the "wet" areas (kitchen and bathrooms) all I have to say is, if that was a detailed clean, I would hate to see a general clean of the wet areas - our kitchen counters seemed to be missed completely around the sink area and the floors seemed to only get a quick dry mop as I noticed a couple sticky spots. Under the kitchen table there was hair, dust/furballs, and crumbs around where my toddler sits - I have to wonder if they even cleaned under there at all! While other areas of the house were cleaned well, I have to say I was very UNimpressed by the overall level of clean for what they charge...I was also very upset that while they were cleaning my home they walked into my daughters room while she was napping and ended up waking her up! (they were informed of two sleeping children in the house and my kids bedroom doors were shut!) I did call the office to bring these things to their attention and they did send another cleaner out the next day to reclean these areas as well as gave me a credit on my account for my inconvenience. HOWEVER, if I am hiring a cleaning service I expect some elbow grease and attention to detail - that is what I am paying for, not light cleaning! I should have known by how they handled getting the estimate scheduled that the company doesn't quite have it together. Lesson learned.

I would give them a 'B' rating. We spent $70. Normally I pay $145 for them to clean the whole house. They're very punctual, they're usually very thorough. I had a problem where they broke the blind to my dining room door and it took 2 months for them to replace the blind and I felt I should have been entitled to a free cleaning because of the inconvenience it caused. I have a break room and you could see the living and dining room area as you come in through the front door, and I had to put bedroom sheets up for the last couple weeks because I wouldn't stand the fact that people who go to the back of my house to see right through it. But they came in and finally fixed it. I felt like I got the raw end of the deal with that. I received a slight discount but I felt like it should've been free on top of that.

They're fine. It's a standard cleaning service. I only use them for interior cleaning. It's been a good value for what they do.

the most important thing was the house smelled better. It was not a scented or freshener smell, it was just a clean air smell with no chemicals. They showed up on time, the time estimate was very accurate. The ladies were very polite and detailed. I use the service fairly regularly and they remember detail about where I keep things and the position of my shades and small details that the last two cleaners just didn't do. The air and the floors are way better than they were.

That was excellent. They do a great job every time they come. It's consistent. I would use them again in the future.

They have excellent service. They do a good thorough job and they are reliable. I would recommend them. Their price is good for what they give me. They don't give me a time when they are going to arrive. I have a standing agreement for me to come every two weeks.

My wife is very pleased and she has been using them for 1 1/2 years.

4 hours of labor for $125.00 was a good price. The job was not deep cleaning and the workers did seem a bit rushed but I would use them again in the future

Everything turned out good. They were an hour late but they did call to inform me. They were very efficient and they were respectful in my home. There were 5 cleaners here and it took about 3 hours to complete. The results are excellent and they were very nice people.

Overall I would describe this mother's experience with The Cleaning Authority as "utterly delightful!" I don't believe I realized how dirty my home really was until I had the opportunity to see how clean it could really be.....The Cleaning Authority allowed me that opportunity. They truly left no dust bunny unturned! With three small children, it can be difficult to truly keep up with the household maintenance much less, have the time to do a deep, thorough, cleaning. Latrice and Doris with The Cleaning Authority were a mother's delight - they were professional, courteous and really cared about what they were doing. I would recommend The Cleaning Authority to anyone who truly would like to see just how pristine their home can truly be :)

Overall they did a good job, there were a few details that I wished they had done, such as cleaned windows and dusted blinds. They did have someone come in at the end to make sure they did a good job so I was impressed with that check, however, I was paying by the hour and I had an amount that I didn't want to go over. I thought for the time frame they were at the house they maybe could have done a little more, but what they did clean was done nicely. I would probably look for a cheaper option, or one where it is just a set price for the entire house.

It is very well. They do what you ask them to do and they do a really good job.

We were also impressed to see them call to find out how we liked the service. We will use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job. As a company the represented and they stood by their work. The sales rep that came out, I absolutely adored. He was an excellent representative for the company. They came faithfully and did a great job. They were willing to accommodate me with my own products for the cleaning and they also used their own products. They worked out everything with my cat and helped cleaned things that they didn’t have to. I would highly recommend.

The ladies were on time and they did a very good job. I was very pleased with them.

I hired this service in order to get a level of cleaning that I can not perform myself (Senior Citizen). However, this level of cleaning was not achlieve (i.e., baseboards were not washed, which I had asked for). I guess i should have asked for no basic cleaning and just listed items I wanted done.

The actual housecleaning was excellent. We asked them to provide cleaning for living area, 3 of 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. The team was punctual, worked hard and did a nice job for us. Regrettably the dealings with the home office did not go as well. Scheduling the appointment took a couple phone calls since the Angie's contact doesn't to the actual scheduling. Also I was able to buy two service vouchers from Angie's and was then told that there was only one service call allowed per address. I had not read this information and I'm not sure if it was my error or not. I was given a 'deal' for the second service - if I did 5 full pay services, they would honor the second voucher. That still wasn't satisfactory for me so other options were discussed including very reluctantly, a possible refund. There was never any follow-up with the company after the initial service...I suspect they just wanted me to go away. I work out of town, my conversations with the firm were difficult so I have not returned the call either...trying to get up the energy.

My first service the crew was supposed to come at 11, didn't show up, didn't call. I called later in the afternoon and was given an excuse about a car problem or something and then they came over and hurried through the job so they could be out of there by 5. The first deep, expensive clean yielded a kitchen floor that had not been mopped. They knocked $20 off the bill. The second clean was good but not what I expected for a 'deep', more expensive clean, but many of promised items: clean doorjams etc. were not completed-but I still gave them another chance even though it took them several days to call me back. The third clean, which was supposed to focus on the bedrooms etc. but still promised to clean the rest of the house, yielded an unmopped dirty kitchen floor again, dustbunnies galore underneath furniture and seemed like another 'light' clean. I have discontinued services and do not recommend this company AT ALL.

Overall, the work quality was good. However, I had to frequently remind the company to not come before 11 AM and also to call when they were on their way. This 'NO SHOW' was unacceptable for us. We shall not be using them any longer.

The main office was responsive. When I needed to change the date due to a conflict that was no problem. I was informed when the two cleaners arrived that we needed to have picked up everything off of the floor before they could start. I'd not been informed of this prior. The cleaners seemed unhappy and unfriendly the entire time. While the company offered the $75 deal, that was a teaser. I was asked twice if I would pay more in order to have them stay longer than 2 hours. They performed light cleaning in just a few rooms.

After the 2 hours for $75 with the coupon, you could have them stay longer for $75/hour. I was not happy so did not have them stay. The people that came were very nice. No issues there.

They are consistent. They do a really good job. They do a good job with my hardwood floors. They do an overall good job. I will be using them again in the future.
