The owner of P.T.D. INC. (Earl) and his crew arrived on time, cut the trees down, loaded the wood and debris onto trucks and cleaned up thoroughly. From the office manager, who answered the phone, to the guys with the saws, they were all likable and courteous. It was a pleasure doing business with them and I highly recommend this company.

We had been living in our new house in the woods less than a year when a storm blew over a huge oak tree, roots and all. I thought I would take the opportunity to have a number of other weak, leaning, or problem trees around our house and along our driveway removed at the same time (about a dozen in all). I called several well-known and several unknown (to me) tree service companies for appointments to provide estimates. The level of professionalism exibited at the estimate provided the first clue about what kind of job was likely to be done. One company simply never showed up, and another came on a different day and time than was scheduled. I eliminated them right off the bat. Two other companies did not provide a written estimate and were also eliminated. I wound up with three written estimates that varied widely in price. I eliminated the one with the highest price, as it was so much higher than any other even though it was from the most well-known company. Then I eliminated the one with the lowest price, as they seemed somewhat unsure about their liability and workers' compensation insurance coverage, as well as exactly when the work would be performed. The estimator from PTD (who was also the owner) arrived as scheduled and seemed very professional. He looked at every tree in question and considered what would be required to remove it safely. He provided insurance coverage information and a well-written estimate, and talked about the equipment and crews they had to do the work. And the estimate included a firm date. When they came to do the work, there were two crews, each with different types of equipment. One set to work on the downed oak with chain saws and a brush grinder, while the other used an enormous cherry picker to cut and delicately lower pieces of the trees that were near the house, which were then fed into the largest grinder I have ever seen. Both crews worked very professionally, used proper safety equipment, and took great care to avoid damage to our property. All debris was removed, the affected areas were raked, and when they finished it was hard to tell where thay had been. The entire job went perfectly, and I would use PTD again for tree service without hesitation. It is rare to get such great service and it is a bonus to be able to support a local business.

They were on time and very professional. The service was great and the crew was very friendly. The tree was in a flower bed and I expected it to be destroyed but it wasn't, and my flowers are still intact. They do wonderful work the cleanup was great, I would recommend this crew if anyone needs tree work. And they were chosen after seven different estimates and the first company I hired didnt show up to do the job. I would use this company from now on for all my tree work.
