Description of Work: Two repairmen from Little Appliance came to our home to see why our Whirlpool washing machine had stopped working. They were unable to fix it on their first visit and made two more visits to try replacing various electronic control boards before proclaiming that the machine could not be fixed. Due to this, Little Appliance did not charge us for their time. Two other companies had already failed to fix the machine. One of these other companies (Affordable Appliance Repair) made two visits and proclaimed the machine unfixable, but also did not charge us for their time. However the first company we contacted (ARC Services) was totally unreliable and charged us a >$150 fee, partly as an $80 service visit fee and partly as a restocking fee for a main electronic control board that they say they purchased but never came to install.

Description of Work: I used them for appliance repair in the last year or so and their service was excellent and response was very prompt. The repairman was very knowledgeable, and this year at his recommendation I replaced my old washer and dryer with new Speed Queen appliances and couldn't be more pleased! |With his help I was able to choose the perfect washer and dryer for our household. He was polite and professional as are the folks that answer the phones at Little Appliance. Wonderful people to do business with!

He ran an in-line water filter and took off the hose that came with the fridge to hook up the icemaker. He said the the hose was known for making the water smell and taste bad. I have used Little Applicance for over 30 years. I will never stray from them again.

The experience was a good one. I especially liked the fact that the technician arrived within a two hour window that was told to me the day before.
Description of Work: Little Appliance came to repair a 2year old wall oven/microwave by Electrolux. The company was precise, came on time, performed the work in a polite, conscience manner. I will use the oven this weekend to see how well the repair worked. Even though the oven was no longer under warranty the Electrolux company picked up the cost of labor and parts for this service.

The office took down our information during an initial call and made an appointment for the technician, James, to visit our home to diagnose the problem. We could not get on his calendar until two business days after we made the call. He came and looked at both appliances fairly quickly and had a pretty good idea about what was required to fix both. He was on-time (actually early) for the service call, and he was professional, personable, and candid. The dishwasher has some age on it, so there was an optional but expensive fix (loose control panel) that we decided together NOT to pursue as it was not causing any issues--I think he gave us good advice about this--and instead we only fixed what we had to (the water pump). Similarly, with the dryer, he had an idea about a part that could be causing our problems (the thermistor) but before deciding to replace that part, he cleaned out some lint and made some tweaks and wanted us to run the dryer for awhile to see if the tweaks would fix the issue versus buying and installing a new thermistor. I appreciated very much that he did not immediately leap to the conclusion that all of these things needed fixing so that we would spend more money. (The thermistor on the dryer ended up being replaced, but I was grateful to have the opportunity to test it before we jumped to that conclusion.) The technician was prompt about calling back with price quotes for the parts; however, when I returned his call and let the office know which of the parts we wanted to replace, they did not get the message to him. As a result, I had to call back again when I did not hear from him about scheduling a time, only to discover he had not been given my message. We lost a few days as a result of that confusion--frustrating when you are living without a dishwasher and clothes dryer. It took another few days to schedule him back in for the repair, which was too long start to finish. However, when he did return, once again, he was professional, quick, and thorough, and both of our appliances were back in working order after less than an hour of his repair time. My only other complaint was that they charged an extra amount in addition to the service call fee for the second appliance (which they disclosed upfront, so it was not a surprise), despite the fact that diagnosing both appliances took less than an hour. Maybe all companies work this way and I've never had two appliances go out at the same time before, but it felt a bit gratuitous. In summary, I thought the technician was very good (James gets an A on all counts) and that the company was honest. The reason I gave them Bs on a couple of items were that (1) the scheduling staff in the office mishandled my returned call to the technician, which was a bummer and cost us time; (2) the wait time to get on the technician's schedule was too long (good for the company; bad for the consumer); and (3) the pricing for the service call (with the added amount for the second appliance) felt high given the amount of time it took. I would use them again based solely on the quality of James's work, but if I were in need of a quicker fix, I would also consider other highly recommended providers who could move more quickly.
Description of Work: Needed repair work done on two appliances, a dishwasher and a clothes dryer, which malfunctioned at exactly the same time. Little was able to fix both appliances--water pump on the dishwasher and thermistor on the dryer--and both fixes appear to have been successful.

Great - fixed my problem for next to nothing rather than replacing parts I didn't need.
Description of Work: My refridgerator had stopped working and so I looked around for a local appliance repair that had familiarity with Frigidaire and found them. They had a repair man out to the house the next day. The compressor had stopped working but he found a way to reset it and it started working again! Seemed proud of himself to find the easy solution. I was happy because I only had to pay for him to come out to the house. Very friendly, professional, and knowledgable. Would use again.

K.B. came in pulled the frig away from the wall and started troubleshooting. The little water supply valve under the sink wasn't shutting off all the way so he plugged it. He discovered the solenoid feeding the water dispenser was leaking. Also, he talked to another tech and got help on analyzing the temp problem. Came back in (3) days to complete the repair. First class job.
Description of Work: K. B., their tech was excellent - he had the patience of a saint and worked through all the hurdles. Price seemed reasonable considering he replace (2) difficultly located components that solve (2) unrelated problems - a water leak and cold frig. temp. The parts he ordered were correct with no problem. Would definitely hire them again.

We contacted Little Appliance after hearing them mentioned as a local Electrolux service and repair center. Reports are available on the internet from frustrated folks all over the U.S. who loved their Electrolux appliances but were extremely unhappy with the level of service and lack of solutions. As much as we wanted high-end appliances, we were prepared to forego Electrolux if we weren't comfortable with the level of support available in our area. I had a phone conversation with Mrs Little and she offered to arrange for Mark Little to visit with me and answer my questions and concerns. As very little appeared to be "standard" in our new home, I needed to know that what we wanted would actually fit ! Mark Little showed up the next day to talk with me and confirm that the Electrolux appliances would fit in the spaces provided. I had a very specific conversation with Mark about service issues and got the answers I needed. Several days later we visited the Little Appliance showroom and picked out the stainless steel appliances we wanted. When the new range, dishwasher and microwave arrived, the front of the microwave had a wavy and distorted "funhouse" effect but was was smooth to the touch. The service manager quickly came by to look at the microwave and, two weeks later, a new microwave was installed. The first time I ran the cleaning cycle on the Electrolux range, the oven stopped working - on a Saturday evening.... with dinner guests. I left voicemail with Little Appliance requesting service and received a call back Monday morning at 9 a.m. The service supervisor was there by noon and discovered a defect in the way the thermal overload detector was mounted to the chassis. He installed two spacers to lift the TOD off the chassis surface, eliminate the "heat sink" created by the original mounting and restored the oven function We have the appliances we want and the service available to support them. The folks at Little Appliance really know their products. I'm incredibly pleased with the entire transaction and my new Electrolux appliances!

Our dishes were still dirty with a film of dried food even after running them through a regular wash cycle with detergent and rinse agent. I first had our plumber come out who then suggested I call an appliance company. Little Appliance is one of the 2 local appliance companies that service Bosch dishwashers. The factory trained technician arrived at the scheduled time (there was a 2 hr. window). He did a thorough inspection and after finding that our upper spray arm was not functioning, he detached it from the washer and discovered what was obstructing it and cleared it. He also informed us that the dishwasher was connected to the cold water supply line and suggested that it be switched to the hot water supply line. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to share any helpful information. They warranty their work for 30 days. Also helpful to know: they service all major appliances except for Asko and Miele. Now I know who to call when i have any appliance issues!

My husband and I have called Little Appliance twice; once for a refrigerator issue (a brand new Whirlpool under warranty) and once for a washing machine problem (old Kenmore, no longer under warranty). Both times the service techs have been courteous, prompt and professional and repaired the appliances without experiencing any further problems. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!

Both of the old appliances were fitted in tight spaces in a galley kitchen. Little Appliance gave us a good deal. A sales representative with an extensive background in stove installations visited our home, measured for fit and developed an estimate with no charge to us. Little recommended a cabinetry expert to modify the space and electric connection for the range. The replacement range and microwave over were then delivered timely and installed efficiently by Little personnel.
