Keil sent a guy out to fix my water heater. The part that was broken was under warranty and he pointed that out, so it was much cheaper than I feared. The guy was very nice, though did make one attempt at getting me to upgrade my water heater. I declined and that was the end of it. Haven't had the reason to use them since, but I would if they gave a good estimate on an upcoming job.

I called these folks on a Friday and they fixed the fawcet later that afternoon. They returned and repaired my pool drain from start to finish on the following Monday, and it cost me less than the estimate.

Very efficient and professional service, but seemed a little pricey.

They came on time and preform the work quickly. The only thing I did not like was the $10 fuel charge. I would use them again.

The 2 experienced plumbers arrived on time. They listened to what I had considered changing in the bathroom and helped me come up with a better plan. My plan was impossible without busting through tile on the jetted tub. They ended up educating me about how to best use the frost proof faucet (don't overturn it closed, as it will break faucet, etc). They also cleaned up everything in the yard and bathroom. They were professional, respectful and helpful. They also work at $95/hr. It took 2 hours to complete my job. I thought this was a fair price and I am very pleased with them. I will definitely use them for my future plumbing needs.

I use them all the time. The job that they did turned out fine. I would use them again in the future.

Keil has NATE-certified technicians, gets an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and has no past or present complaints from DPOR (Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation, the State board that certifies contractors.) You can look up NATE and DPOR on the web. The company was fine. They seemed to be concerned with saving me money and not trying to sell me the most expensive unit. The secretary told me that I'd be fine with a 16-SEER unit rather than a 20-SEER unit that would have been more costly. The only caveat to the whole experience was that when a representative from the County came to inspect the new unit after it had been installed, there were 3 corrections that had to be made before it passed inspection. Somebody from Keil came to my house, made the corrections and the man from the County came out again and the unit passed inspection. So I had to hang out in the house a little more for the additional correction and inspection. For those of you who are mechanically adept, here are the corrections: 1. Seal round duct on top of unit. This involved putting silver tape around two pipes where they entered into the unit. 2. In connection with the heat pump outside, (this I don't entirely understand), the man from the County wrote, "NM cable not permitted in A/C whip." I may not be reading the writing correctly, but this correction took about an hour. In addition, when I had the old furnace, the heat exchanger within the old 16 year-old unit was found to have had rust in the annual furnace tune-up. Other contractors examined the heat exchanger in various ways that did not involve spending money. Keil recommended a $95 test on the old furnace on 10/26/10 to check on whether or not the rust had evolved into actual cracks. The test involved spraying a chemical that lit up if there were any cracks. While I did not like the idea of spending $95, I'm glad that I did it because the furnace did in fact have two small cracks. This would have gradually evolved into a carbon monoxide leak if left unchecked. The test conclusively proved that I needed to at least have the heat exchanger replaced. It made more sense to replace a 16 year-old unit.

I'm very satisfied with Keil. We called them on Monday and they were able to get out to take care of it on Wednesday. They showed up precisely at 9 a.m. and went straight to work. The estimated it would take about 2 hours, but wound up requiring only 1.5 hours. The shower works fine now and they cleaned up behind their work. the only evidence they had been there was the new handles!

Had a broken toilet that would not stop running, and couldn't cut it off at the wall. Needed someone asap/same day service. Called around 10am, they worked me in and set me up for a 12-4pm arrival time. Received a call about 2pm, to let me know he was on the way - about 15 minutes before he arrived. Professional and worked very fast. Work completed, and all mess cleaned up. I would definitely recommend them.

My complaint was that they charged me for one and a half hours at $125 per hour. When I called to complain that they had been at my house less than an hour, I was told that I was charged from the time the crew was dispatched...in other words I paid for their commuting time. So that was $187.50 for about an hour work. What really takes the cake is the materials charges. They charged me $10 for a filter that I have bought for $5; $10 for a nozzle that costs about $5 and another $10 for a little mesh strainer. Then come the really ridiculous charges: $10 for "oil disposal fee" (I don't know what oil they took away); $5 for the use of the vacuum cleaner!! Then there was the unexplained "miscellaneous" fee of $4 and a gas surcharge of $7. So the total for materials was a whopping $84. I called them and spoke to the receptionist who answered my phone and said that I wanted some adjustment as I have never paid close to this much before for having my furnace serviced. She said that all the charges were standard. I said that I wanted to speak with the office manager; I never got a return phone call and will never use this company again. They pad everything they do and nickel and dime you to death.

I have a yearly maintenance agreement with them. They’ve been prompt, they’ve been reliable, and they perform the service competently.

We recommended Keil to a friend after a great experience with them on a house inspection. Our friend was extremely happy and indicated that not only did they repair her leaky hosebib, but pointed out a few other issues and fixed them while they were there. This was the same experience we had previously where the guys went above and beyond and offered to fix and issue that they'd only been asked to inspect. In there words, "we're already under the house, and it is an easy fix, so we'll go ahead and repair it at no extra charge."

Someone came over to look at the problem and told us what needed to be done, which none of the other plumbers I called had said. They built a custom pan and replaced the old one in a matter of days. Everything fit perfectly and was done with professionalism and care to the washer/dryer area. We have had no problems.

They are a reputable business and are good to work with. I would call them again if I need anything.

The serviceman who arrived was prompt, friendly and professional. He took the time to show us the piece that had broken and made further suggestions on things we might want to do in the future, based on our questions. I will definitely use them in the future for additional services.

The customer service was great and they showed up quickly compared to another company we have used. I plan to use them again in the future.

I have used Keil for years, and they are reliable, dependable, and always do a first class job, as well as their service technicians being courteous and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing or HVAC services.

They are very reliable. They call to say that it is time for our annual maintenance. I've called them a few times about things not working and they are usually able to come that day or the next. They are very responsive. Each time they come out it is the same people, and they get to know your house and your system.

Very professional, cleaned up afterwards, work completed within time and cost estimates.

My AC died at 10 PM on a day when it was over 100 degrees. I called Keil's at 7:30 AM the next day and they were at my house by 8 AM! They even showed me how to replace my AC filter and recommended where I could go to get it cheaper than having them do it.

Poorly! When the toilet was installed, no allowances were made for the thickness of the walls. As a result, the toilet was (and remains) installed too close to the wall. The mixer for the shower was installed at a funny angle. It took three tries to get it correct. The plumbing under the vanity was done in a sloppy manner. It was repaired once, but failed and leaked. Eventually, the original vanity was removed and replaced.

The person came and tightened everything. The problems were handled quickly, and the repair work has held.

We were pretty pleased with their service. We had no problem with them or complaints. They sent a plumber out who knew what he was doing. They were very helpful with a great response time and they were here in no time. We've used them off and on for ten years.

A plumber told my spouse the toilet was old and could not be made to flush properly. He also rushed both jobs and did not repair the toilet as requested by me. We are subscribers to Dominion Power's plumbing maintenance plan and if we need plumbing repairs again we will request that Dominion Power send a plumber from another company if possible.

Kiel Plumbing and Heating did a good job finding the problem. It took them one day to complete. What impressed me was that he asked for my permission first before he did anything. I was comfortable with him coming and going throughout the day. I was happy with the ending results. I was fine with the price. He did a good job.
