They did an excellent job for me and their price was very competitive. They were on time and very easy to work with. He showed me what he was going to do and why he was going to do it. They were certain shades of painting doors and he made sure I knew which white I needed and the way he was doing it. He made sure he got up on ladders and really high as he had to paint some of the 2nd floor shutters but he was very easy to work with. The prices were very competitive and that was the primary reason I took him. He did outstanding work. It was primarily a painting job which needed to be done. They did clean up well and they didn't leave any mess. Their quality was as good as others. There was nothing I had to clean afterwards as they took everything away which was unnecessary. Their quality was excellent. He was responsive and he knew what he was doing and in fact he was telling me what he was doing. He seemed to be fairly experienced in shutters as well.

From the first day Seth and his crew was GREAT. We had wanted to do this in Oct. of 2010 but due to a death in the family on the very day we were to meet and sign papers Seth was very considerate and worked with us even when we had to leave and he was checking out the solutions to this build. He checked into ordering special products then took this to the county to make sure it would work with them before going ahead. Kept us informed as well as he could when we were very tied up out of town. The CREW, Mike & Jimmy, ( and I am sorry I do not remember the other guys name) was CLEAN, HARD WORKING, RESPECTFUL, & informative of things as they progressed. We even added a small job to replace front porch posts and they did that when they were down for any reason from the carport. They made very good use of there time here. They worked very hard to get the carport under roof before the next snow,sleet, or rain came on days when it was very cold out side. Only taking off when it was too dangerous. We will call them back in the future for, "our too big for us to handle" jobs. They even was some what excepted by our dog , Peanut. Linda Young

Reagan, the crew chief and estimator, was punctual and professional from the estimate to execution of the job. We feel that this company is honest and fair in their pricing. We even had them caulk the chimney and come back to fix a leak in the roof. This company will be the first we call when we have need for future home improvements.

Very professional and courteous. Pricing was competitive, not too cheap or too expensive. Painters were good. Encountered unplanned problems with porch work, they worked a good solution but was not completely satisfied with execution of work. Contracted carpenter was very slow and the final product was average. The quote included the use of drop clothes, lead certification practices and ensured cleanliness, a lot was left to be desired. Communication between carpenter, homeowner and Jacob's Ladder was poor at times towards the end of the job. Would recommend them for competitively priced painting. Much of our disappointment was not with Jacob's Ladder, but the contracted carpenter. Nonetheless, an average report is necessary.

They did an excellent job, but was slow to start because of other work. I had no problem with the slow start, but they did not communicate with me to tell me that they were running behind. The guy who did the estimation was good, and the company complied completely with the proposal. I just wish they had better lines of communication.

Seth is very responsive, punctual, honest and reliable. He says what he does, and does what he says. He keeps a close eye on all work being performed so you don't have to worry. The siding job is excellent and the carpentry work completed was first rate. Pricing was also excellent based on 3 estimates I received. I would highly recommend this contractor.

Jacob's Ladder completely gutted an existing full bath and rebuilt it from scratch. Seth Dorotich worked with us every step of the way to make sure we got what we wanted. The bathroom looks great and came in under budget (!) We agreed up front which supplies I would be responsible for, but Seth and his employees gave me great advice on where to go and what to get. A great example of the kind of service I got: an odd-sized linen closet door needed to be replaced. The Jacob's Ladder people built us one from scratch using the wainscotting material we had used in the rest of the bath. It adds a very nice detail to the overall impression of the room. It was a very pleasant experience working with Seth and Jacob's Ladder. Highly recommended.

Contractor's representative was prompt for initial assessment appointment and took detailed notes. Submitted separate, detailed estimates for repair work, window replacement, and painting. Chose provider based on initial interview and thoroughness of the estimate even though one other provider's estimate was lower. Contractor's representative was prompt for detailed measurement appointment for window order. Repair work and window installation took five days and painting took five days. When work had been completed, contractor's representative returned to check on all work to ensure that it had been done to his standards. I was thoroughly satisfied and intend to engage this provider next spring for additional work. I also feel comfortable recommending Jacob's Ladder to others.

We did not use them. The quote was very professionally done. The guy was really nice and they were great except that they were just a little bit too much money. They were too pricey. They came out promptly and they provided the quote really quickly. They understood what we needed to do. They were just a little higher than what we wanted to spend. I wouldn't use them again because they are a little pricey for what we wanted done. Their expertise seems to be more in custom work and that seemed to be their preference. If we had a multimillion dollar home or if we wanted to go over the top and be the best in the neighborhood, I would use them. But we are middle class so we just didn't feel like we needed the top of the line. In that respect I would recommend them for that type of work. For an average home owner I think they are a little over the top in a good way. They were actually good, but they were more custom high end stuff.

The house looks great, brand new. Our house is large and with several rainy days it took about a month. The team worked hard. They were pleasant and helpful. Foreman communicated questions to office quickly. He also warned us to remove pictures on outside walls, which saved some expensive frames! When the detached carport was not included in the quote as requested, they offered to do it at cost. They helped keep the expense of the carport down by using our leftover tar paper and roof shingles.

Everything with that has been fine. I noticed one spot needed to be serviced again, but nothing major. It has been a situation when I haven't been able to call them back. I'm not even sure if the problem has to due with gutters because I'm not one to go into high places.

They are a very nice crew. They did a very good job for us. They are very honest. They went above and beyond on a lot of things. Things they didn't notice to being with, they later fixed anyway. They arranged for another outfit to replace the door. They even came back about 6 months after they did the work to fix a leak we had found around one of the windows. They apologized and fixed it for free. In the painting and carpentry part of this job they were just excellent.t They will do other things for you, but if it is not in their line of expertise they will arrange for another company to do the job.

He was very professional. He took measurements and will be getting back to us with the quote. He did call before the appointment to say he was running a few minutes late which was fine with me that day, but I can see how that might be a problem. He was not as forth coming with ideas and suggestions as the other company I got a bid from.

We contacted Jacob's Ladder based on recommendations from neighbors who had recently had work performed. They were very thorough in explaining options and different price points for siding and windows. The workers were prompt, professional and courteous. They cleaned up areas before leaving for the day and took care not to completely trample items in our flower beds. Additionally, they were able to resurface our deck and paint our exterior doors. In regards to the kitchen remodel, Jacob's Ladder arranged meetings with a kitchen designer to provide various layout options to make our kitchen more user friendly. Once layout finalized, were were given an timeline for the renovations. The project was delayed a couple of weeks due to a special order garden window that took longer to receive from the manufacturer than anticipated. We were kept abreast of these changes. During the renovations the Jacob's Ladder staff took care to ensure that we had basic kitchen functionality, i.e. working kitchen sink, refridgerator, microwave. Our overall experience was positive. Jacob's Ladder was easy to work with, responsive, professional and stayed true to the original estimates.

We contacted Jacob's Ladder for a quote after several of our neighbors used them for siding and other projects. They provided a competitive quote, and started work a few weeks after we signed the contract. The workers on-site were very polite and tried to minimize disruption to our daily routine, and handled slight changes to the scope of work with aplomb and flexibility. The work took longer than expected due to some ordering mix-ups, as well as heavy rain, but that was out of their control, and Seth was upfront about delays, and estimated timing. Clean-up could have been more through, but overall we were very pleased with the work that was done, and would definitely recommend Jacob's Ladder.

The project was delayed at no fault of the contractor (due to weather). They did what they said they would do. Their people were professional, cooperative, all spoke English, and everything was cleaned up each day before they left. I was able to communicate via email and got a quick response to all my questions. They even asked permission to work on a Saturday. My wife is very pleased, and this makes me a happy camper.

Needless to say this was a big job and the weather never cooperates. It took a little longer that we had anticipated, but I guess that is to be expected. Working with the company owners and the crew was great. All were friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond anything my wife and I ever expected. For example, when a small piece of the drywall came off around one of the windows during installation, they matched the paint and actually painted the ENTIRE room. We would, and have, recommend Jacob's Ladder 1000% to friends and neighbors.

They did an excellent job. They were prompt and competitive with their estimates, on time, very courteous and meticulous in working with me to get an idea of exactly what I wanted and the colors I wanted. They also were very good about cleaning up and careful of my possessions and careful not to damage anything in the house.

Great work. Everything looked fabulous. We own this rental and were out of town. Seth and his crew did great work and took care of our property in our absence.

We have not had reason to hire a company for at least fifteen years, so we were pleasantly surprised when things went as well as they did. The crew arrived early in the morning on all three days. They did there best to avoid tracking the mess around the house, and were also extremely polite. The finished product looks much better than we expected, and the price was fair. The entire experience was a positive one.
