Short Pump Heating and AIr is a wonderful company to work with for your heat/air needs and plumbing needs. They are prompt , professional and the price is reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

SHA technicians and staff have always been courteous and professional. They’ve never tried to sell me something I don’t need. They replaced our entire HVAC system several years ago - including replacing builders grade duct work - and we haven’t had any issues. Highly recommend the routine maintenance package.

Short Pump Heating and Air has been servicing my HVAC for 20 years. Daniel does my maintenance twice a year. He is friendly, reliable, thorough, and overall does a great job of keeping my units in good working order. He is also very responsive and explains things in a way that make sense to me. They have come out in the freezing cold and scalding heat to repair/replace a unit when needed. They have replaced the two original units in the house and kept them in good working order. I am very pleased with their services.

Short Pump Heating and Air showed up when they said they would and completed the install as expected. We had a minor issue with the install - unrelated to SPHAP new unit - that required an adjustment. They immediately came out and took care of the problem. Would use them again without hesitation.

Well done! Its been frustrating for years having my home office require keeping the rest of my 2nd floor at frigid temps all summer to get any kind of decent cooling in the 3rd floor. Short Pump did an awesome job from the outset of this project. Ryan was communicative and thorough in detailing the work involved, and the install techs were exceptionally professional during the installation. Chris, James, and (another) Ryan removed all of the old, moldy ductwork in the crawl space and carefully sealed all of the old floor registers--even non-Short Pump plumbers/handymen who have since been in the crawlspace remarked at what a solid job they did. The new attic ductwork was also installed meticulously, which was no small feat since we have plaster ceilings. All three workers acted as craftsman: planning each step, creating custom pieces for the air return when necessary, and communicating with one another to ensure that there were no mistakes. Ryan verified their work after it was done, and we've now had the system checked at the 2-week and 6-month marks (by Evan and Daniel, respectively). Both times, I was similarly impressed by the techs' intelligence and professionalism. Short Pump didn't give us the cheapest quote for this project, but we went with them since they offered a 10-year labor warranty and had solid reviews. Now I have no doubt that they did a finer job than we would have received with even the more expensive estimates, and my family will continue using them for all our future HVAC projects.

FANTASTIC! Paying yearly for the twice annual maintenance is such a great value. Its approx 200 per unit per year which includes pre-summer and pre-winter service. Each technician is more friendly and helpful than the last. They are always informative and never try to sell me extra stuff. The office staff is also cheery and efficient. Short Pump Heating and Air has nursed my 19 year old HVAC units thorough the 3 summers since I bought the house. after doing my own research, I completely trust the owner to walk me through the new HVAC purchase process. Really, I love this company! I have convinced my mom and friends to hire them too! Their plumbing service is also top notch: I purchased a water heater and multiple toilet related things through this company. (FYI, I receive NO discount or enticement to write this.) Fast, competitive quote. Fast, efficient installation and clean up. We ended up needing a service call for the new unit about a month after the installation, (on New Year's Eve!), due to what turned out to be a "blown fuse" after a power surge. The service tech responded within an hour and fixed the problem. Very grateful for the excellent response during one of the coldest spells of weather in Richmond in a long time. Fair price, great installation crew, and excellent response to a maintenance issue even after the sale and installation. Great Company to deal with.

Plumber was knowledgeable and took his time to explain different approaches to the repair. During the repair he discovered an additional crack in the pipe and made sure the repair fixed everything. We were impressed with his knowledge and thoroughness. We have relied on this company for our heating & air and have felt good about that service. We will now also rely on them for our plumbing needs.

They didn't charge me an enormous price for that.

I love them. They gave us a competitive bid for installation of excellent equipment. They were professional, considerate, kind, knowledgeable, and so easy to work with. I am contrasting this with a terrible experience with a different provider we ALMOST chose, but thankfully, did not. We are still on the courtesy maintenance plan, and they are always timely with their reminder calls and helpful during the visits. This was a wonderful experience and the right investment for us. They are truly in the customer service business.

They arrived very quickly after I called and made the repair quickly as well!

I was frantic as I live on the 3rd floor and the temperature was going to be in the upper 90's. I called about 9 am and spoke with a very nice representative who assured me someone would be out that day. Sure enough about 1:30 that afternoon there was a knock on my door and it was Short Pump Air. Within an hour the problem was resolved. I was shown the burned out contact switch and a new one was installed. Problem resolved and a very happy customer.

This was my first experience with them. ?It was an emergency, too. My coils had frozen up, so they had to defrost them and then fix them. They were quick when I called, again, it was an emergency type thing. ?They explained everything.
