Davis Cheshire Masonry

Description of Work: We had brick steps on the front of the house that were loose and coming off due to crumbling mortar. We got a quote from another company that wanted to demolish all the steps and re-build from scratch for $2,500 which we thought was a bit excessive in what was needed and cost. So we had Davis-Cheshire come out and Gary (Davis) did not think the whole set of steps needed to come out and gave us a quote for $700 to make the repairs. He showed up one day later than planned but kept us informed and did the repair in one day. The steps look fantastic--you really cannnot tell the difference between the steps that were repaired and the ones that did not need repair. The mortar matches perfectly. All the soft mortar was chipped out and replaced. About 2 rows of steps had to be completely removed--he cleaned them and re-used them. A few bricks had to be replaced alltogether and the new ones match perfectly. He came back as promised a week or so later to clean the steps. And, we have hired him to come back and apply sealant once weather permits. We could not be more pleased with the work he did and the price he charged. Would definitely hire again if the need arises!
