I used Cardinal Electric to install a bathroom exhaust fan in my newly renovated bathroom. I was excited to use him because he was very pleasant upon meeting him and seemed like a great guy. I was displeased however with him leaning on my ceiling air vent causing the damper to be pushed through my drywall. I had actually spent a lot of time repairing my ceiling during the renovation. He didn’t tell me about the incident and I found it once i got home which I did not appreciate, he did admit to the accident upon me asking him and told me he forgot to tell me. Just seems like a rather big mishap to not tell the homeowner, especially when you attempted to correct it with a lot of compound. Needless to say he offered to fix it, but I was uncomfortable with him doing so, I would have rather have had some of his labor cost taken off of the job since I now have to fix drywall and paint...again. Exhaust fan works though and it was correctly placed and all light switches work...not a bad guy just needs to be more careful and less forgetful.

Our contact with Jon started about a month earlier. I came home to find two smoke alarms chirping. I changed the batteries in both (twice) but the chirping continued. Not knowing what to do, and concerned that the alarms would go off during the night, I looked on Angie's List and called a few electricians. Jon was the only one who returned the call, and said the alarms were likely faulty and talked me through how to unplug them from the ceiling and what to do to replace them. He stayed on the phone with me until I got the units out of the ceiling. We were impressed by the fact that this contractor, who wasn't getting any work out of this was courteous enough to help a distressed person out of the situation by phone. So about a month later, when we had accumulated a list of electrical questions and concerns, we knew who to call. Jon came out to troubleshoot and answered a number of questions, tested various circuit breakers, and gave us answers as to what outlets served various functions. He determined that the under the cupboard light itself was faulty (I had already replaced bulbs to no avail), suggested getting one of a different dimension to better illuminate the work surface, ordered it and came back to replace it and the under the microwave bulbs. He was highly professional, prompt, courteous, fairly priced and did an outstanding job. He considered our questions seriously, although they were likely routine to him. We would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and neighbors in need of a trustworthy electrician. If we are in need of an electrician again ourselves, we know who to call.

He returned my call within 24 hours. He was here on time, and he is the nicest guy you'll ever meet for electrical work. I plan on using him again, he does all my electrical services. He is very patient.

Two neighborhood friends referred us to him. He's a 1-man shop, but does his work well. He's courteous and professional and showed up on time. He charged $20 for parts and $75 for service (1hr). It was a simple removal and installation, which most people could probably handle on their own, but we opted to use him, and we will again in the future.

His prices are very fair and reasonable. When you call him he will return your call within a day. He will come at a time that is convenient for you. He is reliable and polite. He will tell me what I need, and makes sure I do not get anything that is unnecessary. He always recommends products that are of high quality. He is a professional and gives great customer service.
