+ -1 moreNot great. When I went in this time my car was in perfect condition. Once the car wash was over, I noticed some scratches and a weird splash mark on the drivers side of my car. I brought this to the attention of the attendants working, and they tried to place blame on a multitude of other things. I've used this car wash many times before and I've always been satisfied, but unfortunately I will be looking into another car wash service for the future.

+ 1 moreMy car is **gorgeous!!** The process is very involved and takes several days, but from what I see now, it is worth it. I had asked for a good vacuuming--which they *did*--and I believe it was complimentary (but not sure.) (When I say "good vacuuming"--I have dogs that can quickly turn a black carpet white with hair!!)

+ -1 moreThe car looks as if it was just driven out of the show room. Only had interior done, and will now go back for exterior. I think these guys are great.
Description of Work: They had to remove all three rows of seats and all carpet to clean it and get moisture out of car after a 5 gallon jug of water overturned in the car. The owner told me that it might be covered by insurance, and so I checked, and all but $100 was covered.

+ 0 moreThe vehicle I took in was disgusting. It is our "third" vehicle and was used by our nanny for the last 3 years. I bought it from a family member used four years ago and it was not super clean then. I mean it made my skin crawl to get in the car to take it to the shop. There was toddler goop crusted places. Found out the nanny was smoking in it when children were not present. Spills were not cleaned up. You get the picture. I could not believe my eyes when I went to pick up the car the next day. It looked new. Sparkling. Smelled clean. The sanitized the ventilation system. I don't even know how they did it. My other half is freaky about keeping our main two vehicles clean and does the detailing himself- and he was even floored at how good it looked. The price was very very steep and could have been steeper. I had budgeted about 500 bucks for the job, but I ended up adding on extra services at the last minute. The office manager was fantastic and scheduling was a breeze and very quick. I would tell anyone to go here.

+ -1 moreWe have taken our vehicles to Car Pool Detail quite a few times over the years. We have nothing but praise for the work they do. We can't imagine having anyone else detail our vehicles. We just took our 7 year old truck with 150,000 miles on it to several places to have it appraised for trade in -- after having it detailed. Everyone said they expected the odometer to say more like 30,000 miles based on how imaculate the truck looked and they were completely shocked to see it had 150,000 miles on it. Gina and her crew take personal pride in the work they do and it shows.We had used another detailing shop before trying Car Pool Detail and there is no comparison in the quality of the work. We just can't say enough good things about Car Pool Detail. It's nice to know there is somewhere you can go and always get the same excellent service and outcome.

+ -1 moreCar Pool Detail did an amazing job on my car. I haven't seen my car looks this good since I bought it 11 years ago. The exterior of car had "Spider Web" scratches from bad car washes and detailing work. They were able to get 95% of the scratches out with detailing clay-it looks great. The leather of the interior had lots of discoloration and had deep seated dirt in certain areas. They were able to match the color of leather perfectly and looks brand new. I cannot say enough good things about Gina Budhai and her crew. Their attention to detail was beyond my expectations and would highly recommend them.

+ 1 moreI have nothing but praise for this shop. I can't imagine finding a better business to take care of detailing a vehicle. They do such an awesome job. My first visit was to get my 4-Runner detailed before trading it in. When I got it back, it looked much better than the day I had purchased it from the dealer (it was used). My wife actually wished we had kept it because it looked so nice. The second visit was to detail my Tundra before trading it in. Like the 4-Runner, you could cook your dinner on the engine, it was so clean. And like the 4-Runner, all the minor dings had been fixed. Each of those efforts were between $500-$600 - but well worth it. The most recent visit was to remove the tar that was splattered over a good portion of the vehicle. They used tar remover, then used a Clay Bar on it, then waxed and polished it. They even cleaned the interior even though I hadn't requested it, nor was I asked to pay for it. The car looks great! Not a speck of tar anywhere. And only $185, to boot. Her team is so detail oriented (pardon the pun). I highly recommend their shop.
Description of Work: Three different appointments - three different vehicles (over a 3 year period). 1st two vehicles were detailed in preparation for trade-in. The third vehicle was detailed because it had a coating of tar from a freshly coated road. The price quoted for today's work was the tar covered car.

+ 1 moreThey are not cheap, but a car is a big investment: you keep it a long time and take care of it because it's way cheaper than replacing it. It makes me remember that I'm glad to still have the car. They've done great work repainting my scratched up bumper as well.
Description of Work: They take my wife's SUV, which is used to haul the kids and the dog, and they practically make it look new, inside and out. They do the same for my car as well.

I had to leave the car there and did not have any other transportation so they even helped us out by driving us back home; it was a nice little service, I was not expecting that. It was across town too; not like it was around the corner. I would highly recommend them; they are very good. I did my research on Angie's List and found that they were an A and I was very satisfied.
Description of Work: I used Car Pool Detail for auto detailing. I also had some dent repair and painting done.

+ -1 moreI generally like to use Angie's list to separate the good from the bad when it comes to having work done around Richmond, and it paid off once more. Carpool's detail shop off of Broad St. went over and above. They completely refreshed the interior of my car. I was thinking about selling my car before this, but now, no-way! It's like a new car again. I'm extremely happy with their service. My headliner looks brand new. They also cleaned my seat-belts.... who cleans seat-belts? I challenge you to find comparable service, let alone for this price, anywhere.

Description of Work: My car was filthy to the point that no one wanted to ride in my car...Car Poole detail shop, on broad street close to Willowlawn... did an outstanding job on my poor car....I had just had it repainted by Macco and they offer handwashing and detailing to the point that my car looked like the day I bought it.. + -1 moreAfter getting over the sticker shock of what auto detailing costs (from other vendors as well), I decided to go with car pool detail. The process was very professional and friendly. I was given a walkthrough of everything they would do with my car along with an accurate and itemized price quote. My car was about 10 years old and other than the just picking up the interior, and running the exterior through a gas station wash every now and then, I hadn't done much to keep it clean and shiny. After the process was over, I have to say that it looked great. They had had said that it would take about a day and a half, but when I told them I needed it back that evening, they worked past their posted hours to finish the job in time, at no additional charge. While this is the first time I have ever had a car detailed, and I don't have other experiences to compare it to, I was very happy with the results and felt like it was money well spent.

+ -1 moreBest detail shop in the city. Tremendously bright people; they have a price list but everything is negotiable in America and they understand this deeply. I was treated with respect, and because I was patient and respectful rather than being demanding and feeling entitled, I got more than I paid for. There's an American Flag tri-folded in a wooden case on the wall in the shop. That's probably the result of the loss of an immediate family member in war. I didn't ask. That's the kind of people who operate this shop. You get to choose who you reward with your business, and where sometimes alternatives exist that are also satisfactory, make that choice on personal criteria. After the job they did, the value I received, and the type of people they seem to be, I can't imagine using anyone else.
Description of Work: Cleaned up my BMW for sale, thorough interior detail job and exterior clay polish and wax.

Description of Work: I have an cadillac escalade esv that is about 3-4years old. I normally use Concours. Concours was not available & I reallyneeded to get my SUV detailed. I have a 4, 7, & 9 year old sons. That within itself should say enough. It had been over a year since I had it detailed. I absolutely had to get it done by that weekend. Concours was Not available so I called Carpool to see if they had a detail service. They do at the location near Libbie. It is under the carpool name but independently run. I was very skeptical to say the least! I left my SUV with the owner which takes in most of the cars. She throughly seemed to know what I was looking for and what service I was used to getting. She quoted me $400 which was higher than I wanted to pay-but really had no other options! I went to pick my SUV up the next day and I was in complete awe!,,,, my suv looked like it came off the showroom floor! They had taken out my carpet and washed it--I can't explain, my car was so disgusting beyond belief. I was embarressed to leave it or have anyone see it. Three boys eating in an suv for a year should say it all + a long haired dog! I can't say enough about their professionalism, kindness and care for my vehicle as well as myself. They blew concours away! They will be my detail of choice going forward. Please again note they are independent from carpool but using the name only-they far surpass anything carpool does!,

+ 0 moreGina explained the entire procedure that was necessary to do in order to remove the residual oil. She followed up with pricing and progress during the week.
Description of Work: Our dog was sprayed by a skunk and we had to put her in the car which resulted in the skunk oil penetrating the interior of the car. Car pool had the car for a week. They removed the entire interior to clean materials several times to remove oder. The interior looks great and there is no skunk smell.
