Very well.  Appliance Solutions contacted us when the units were in and scheduled a delivery time.  Since our laundry room is a tight fit, they had to remove the existing units and replace them with the new units.  It was completed without incident.

I went to Appliance Solutions on Broad St. based on a recommendation from a friend. I was looking to purchase a quiet refrigerator. I had already purchased and returned refrigerators from other stores due to their noise levels. I was hoping that the local company would be more knowledgeable about specific models and would be able to help me find a quiet refrigerator. I explained my need for a quiet refrigerator to the individuals. They offered to call their representatives at the various manufacturers to find out what they could. They also offered to let me listen to the refrigerators in the store. I then asked what would happen if I purchased a refrigerator after listening to it in the store and I thought it was too loud when I got it home. They said they would make it right. We found a refrigerator and I ordered it. (They matched a lower price at a chain store.) Unfortunately, due to a natural disaster, this refrigerator became back ordered for 5-7 weeks. I, and they, called the manufacturer to confirm this problem. They happened to have the same model number made by the same company under a different name in stock that they offered to sell me in place of the one that was delayed at the same price. I went in and listened to it and it seemed pretty quiet to me, so I agreed. The refrigerator was delivered. It was quieter in many ways than the others that I had tried. However, it made a high pitched ringing noise which I could hear but not everyone could hear. (My younger friends could hear it, but my older friends could not.) Because of background noise, I hadn't been able to detect this noise when I listened to the refrigerator in their store. After I called Appliance Solutions and explained the issue, they quickly dispatched an appliance repair company (well ranked on Angie's List) to come look at the refrigerator. The repair man was informative, but could do nothing to fix the problem; he said that the noise was normal. I called Appliance Solutions back and explained the situation and they immediately said that they would take the refrigerator back and give me a full refund (which they have done). I have to say that *everyone* I interacted with at Appliance Solutions was wonderful. That includes all of the salespeople as well as the delivery staff. I felt awful returning the product given the fabulous service they had provided, but I could not tolerate the noise. I fully intend to go back to them for buying appliances in the future (including a refrigerator once the back ordering problem has passed) and potentially for home remodeling (which I chatted with them about while I was there).

Tammy called and left us a message telling us that the new range hood was available to be installed. We were thrilled, since this was at least several weeks before we expected it to arrive. We had a particularly busy week that week, and she very graciously followed up with at least two more voicemails over the next week or ten days before we got back to her. We scheduled an install just a few days out, and the installer showed up right on time. I'm ashamed that I couldn't get back to the house in time to greet him (like I said, it was a bad week -- maybe two...), but we had a friend there watching our kids whom I'd alerted about his visit, and he was able to come in and do the job. When I got home later that evening, the new range hood was installed, no mess, no evidence that an installer had even been there. And the new hood is fabulous - great light, and great exhaust. Very pleased.

While the sales experience was very professional and courteous, the installation experience was very disappointing. Tammy was very helpful to us as we considered the various models, and did not push us towards more expensive models, which I appreciated. She also gave us a very good discount since we were purchasing three items, such that the prices we ended up paying were more than competitive. We also were able to save on the extended service agreement since it covered all three appliances, and we didn't have to get three separate agreements. We visited the showroom on Saturday. Tammy told us we would have the appliances installed by the next Friday, and that the installer would contact us on Monday. She called us Monday evening, and we told her we had not been contacted (we have given her all our numbers). She said she would make sure that he called us on Tuesday. Still no call. Tuesday night, my wife left a message on their answering machine expressing her disappointment and frustration (since a broken dishwasher was what prompted us to make the purchase in the first place -- this was not purely an "elective" replacement). On Wednesday the installer contacted us, and made arrangements to come out later in the day to scope out the job. He came back on Thursday to install the dishwasher, and then installed the range on Friday - so to be fair, they did meet the install deadline that they promised. However, when the range arrived, we found out that the cooktop was black, rather than white. Tammy had checked on this while were in the showroom and assured us that this option was available on this model. However, when my wife went online after the install to check, she found that this model did not, in fact, come with a white cooktop. (sigh) Not a dealbreaker, but certainly a disappointment. Then, over the weekend, the dishwasher door stopped closing; it was significantly out of alignment. On Monday my wife called to request a service call. Wednesday morning Tammy called back and said she could have someone out there that morning, so I waited. It was a GE technician (not her contracted installer), and he discovered that the dishwasher's back feet weren't even touching the floor; rather, the installer had actually secured it to the countertop (a no-no). The GE tech leveled it using the feet, and then re-attached it to the countertop (not to level and secure it, but just to help keep it from moving around - the correct use of the countertop attachment). To be fair, he said that this company was not one he'd had lots of complaints about. All in all, we're happy with the appliances and with the sales experience, but the installation portion could have been much less frustrating if it were more professionally handled. Note: we ordered a new model of range hood, which is expected to arrive in May. I'll post an update then if it's warranted.
