Tom Owen was referred to us by our patio installer. He did the iron railings for the stairs for that project. We liked his work very much and asked if he could build a Juliet Balcony for us to replace the ugly wooden guard on a french door that we never use, and did not want to build stairs for. He came to our home, sat with us and showed us a portfolio of his work, along with his inspiration photos. Together we came up with a design and the end result is gorgeous! Everyone else in the neighborhood that has not built a deck still has those ugly wooden guards on their french doors, while we have a fabulous balcony! The price was very reasonable considering it was a custom design. Tom was a pleasure to deal with, as was the office staff. He brought the piece to the property before it was painted to make sure it fit, and on the day of the install he was there to oversee it. He even brought us some decorative collars for the nearby railings on our basement walkout to tie the two pieces together.

Service was excellent. Very knowledgeable and efficient.

The measured precisely before fabrication. With the exceptiion of a few poorly welded spots and some uncoated areas, the overall railings look good. A week or two after it was assembled, I found some loose fittings and I called to see if someone could tighten them, as I did not have the correct tool. They said they would, but never showed up.

Mr. Owen arrived on time, took measurements and showed us pictures form a scrapbook of his previous work and we chose the style of railing we wanted. He made them exactly as we asked, and installed them. they've been in for about 9 months, and are in great shape.

He was a quality worker. He did everything right. They produced the parts on time and the installation was perfectly done. The professionalism and quality of this man's work was outstanding. The owner of the company came to verify the measurements and he came when his worker showed up to make a trial installation. They brought the railings to the house in 2 or 3 pieces and they fitted them to the front porch and the steps. They saw they needed to make a few changes and they took them back which he expected. They came back right when they said they would a week later and installed it perfectly. I would certainly use him in the future.

Company representative showed up at the scheduled time to calculate an estimate/proposal; pleasant and professional gentleman with obvious experience in the field. We chose this vendor over another local company which we've successfully dealt with for decades because they offered a lower price. Owen Companies fabricated the railings at their shop and quickly installed them on the appointed day. Installation went smoothly, professionally, and cleanly. Railings are quite secure in our brand new brick steps. We were quite impressed with the quality of the work and behavior of the workers and management.
