We also offer financing options to meet our customer’s needs! Cost is determined by the job. No travel charges. We do commercial and residential Heating and AC. We also service water heaters, oil, gas, coil cleaning and coil replacements.

I have used Comfort Doctor for over 15 years and have always received outstanding service. He installed and maintained our boiler in our prior home, and recently installed a new hybrid heat-pump/propane system and central ac and dehumidification units in my new home. He took the time to explain all the options available in selecting the new system, in terms I could understand, and let me know where I could cut costs. Peter Richter is extremely responsive, and is willing to work with us to come up with solutions that are within our budget. I could not be happier with the service they have provided, and would recommend Comfort Doctor to anyone needing heating and cooling services.
Description of Work: Installed new hybrid heat pump/propane furnace, central A/C, dehumidification and electrostatic air cleaner, and attic fan.

It took a couple of days to install but I am very satisfied with the work that he did. I would recommend him. I have a contract with him now.

They did just fine. I think they were good. I had no problem with them. They actually did it for a neighbor of mine and then they service it. I have nothing but good things to say about them. The cost was reasonable. They showed up on time. They were fair and honest. They spoke English. They were the first heating and air conditioning company that I can actually rely on. The interaction was nothing remarkable. The respond quickly and they listen to what I have to say. It is just a good company to deal with.
Description of Work: I used Comfort Doctor Heating and Cooling to fix my water heater. They put in my furnace, heat pump and my water heater in 2008.

These guys are the best! They were SO patient even though the problem was so rare and solution elusive. The follow up was also very much appreciated. And if they are this good with a frustrating problem, I'm sure they can knock a regular service call out of the park. Definitely recommend.
Description of Work: I had them service the radiators in my 1925 bungalow in Arlington, which have been banging loudly ever since I moved in (even after bleeding them regularly). I've had 3 other HVAC guys out here, and all told me 'that's just what radiators do' and blew me off. One company didn't even bother to wait to listen for the noise. Peter & Jacob came out and really tried to troubleshoot the noise, called several days later to follow up, and when their initial ideas didn't seem to help much, they kept trying. All in all they spent many hours at my house and with some out of the box thinking, figured out that the bulk of the problem was that the 'normal' noise was being amplified due to various other issues, and came up with a solution!

Have used Comfort Doctor for seasonal service for years and they replaced the original furnace unit that was in the home when I purchased it. They are very responsive (Nights, Weekends, Holidays), honest and fair in their estimates. Very professional with great customer service.

When I bought the furnace, I didn't buy a high end heat pump, because I couldn't afford it. The first thing that went out was the compressor--which was right after the warranty ran out on that part. Prior to that, the owner of this company came out to check my furnace. After that, they sent out younger guys, because the company had grown. It seemed like the younger guys would just bandied the problem, and they didn't seem to ever fix the problem. I came to the realization that I was spending too much money a year on maintenance costs. I then decided to try a different company at that time, then I eventually replaced it.
Description of Work: They replaced the heat pump in my furnace.

I have a gas furnace that was not providing heat. Pete arrived when he said he would be there, quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective part, verified that I had no other problems with the furnace and headed to his next job.

WE DID NOT WANT TO GET A NEW SERVICE, BUT OURS DIED AND WE SHOPPED AROUND FOR AWHILE, BECAUSE IT WASN'T HOT ENOUGH FOR US TO HAVE WORRY ABOUT GETTING IT TAKEN CARE OF RIGHT AWAY. WE'RE PLEASED WITH IT. SERVICE WAS OK.

THE TECH CAME OUT, AND WAS ON TIME WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THEY DIDN'T OVER CHARGE US, AND THEY DID A REAL GOOD JOB. WE HAVEN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH OUR AIR CONDITIONER SINCE.
