Aspen Fence and Deck

The project went extremely well. All work was done in a very professional manner. The contractor brought the wood directly to my house and hand selected each board. The work was completed in one day. I would use this contractor again and look forward to gettin his bid for a new deck.

ll. It went very well. The total project took only 5 days despite the summer heat and bugs. The owner provided some good suggestions as to where to place gates and fencing. It was hard to estimate the exact linear feet because of the terrain,so we agreed on an initial estimate and agreed to adjust the estimate up or down based on cost per linear foot when the project was completed. This was fair to both the contractor and us and it worked out well. The quality of the work was good. I would have rated excellent except a few posts were somewhat tilted in the pounding in process and one spot where I thought we were going around the tree, the fencing ended up attached to the tree -- not ideal, but the only spot where this happened.

Clyde and his crew were great! The fence is beautiful and they did an amazing job with the carport gate. They were easy to work with and when we hit a snag early on it was resolved quickly and professionally. The quality of the work is wonderful and the crew worked efficiently to get it all done in a day.

The estimate process was thorough and he offered what we felt was a fair price considering the reviews on Angie's List. The fence looks better than we imagined. We are very happy with the results. The quality of materials looked very good, and they did a very thorough job- it was not rushed. The custom gate final product was excellent. Upon close inspection after they finished, I found one gap at the corner of the new fence and the old that was too wide (allowing my small dog to escape). I notified the owner, and expect a follow up visit, as he assured me during the estimate phase.

I called them and in fifteen minutes they responded to my call. They were very courteous when they got on sight. They performed a lot of things which other contractors wouldn't do. They took measurements and gave me an estimate. The whole experience was overwhelmingly easy to deal with. I'm glad there are still contractor around like that.

They showed up on time, worked steadilly, completed the install in one day, and left the place spotless before they went home.

Aspen Fence installed fencing around our yard a couple of years ago and more recently they repaired and replaced some fencing that was damaged by a tree that fell on the fence. In both instances they were very professional and performed the work at or above expectations and on-schedule and within the price they had proposed. They made the whole process very easy and helped with decisions that I was having a hard time making. Overall it was a great and easy experience and I would recommend them.

We have used Aspen previously on our farm and we were very pleased with the quality of their work. So we naturally called them first and they did a great job on fencing our yard. They work quickly, are very detail oriented and get the job done right. Everything is square and level. The custom gates they built are a great touch! We called and Clyde was there the next day to measure and give an estimate and then they set to work the next day. Pricing was very competitive. Overall we are more than pleased! Aspen fence has proven to be a dependable resource for all of our fencing needs. They have built construction fence, boundary fence, dog pens and horse pastures for us. The prices are fair, the quality excellent and they really pay attention to the details. The little things, like which way the gate will swing, appropriate hardware, and the like make a big difference in how user friendly the fence is and how happy you will be with it over the long term, Aspen Fence builds what you want where you want it and they do it really well.

Clyde Wray of Aspen Fence inspected the site, worked with owner-provided diagrams and proposed a fee per foot of fence and a very quick start date. He arrived with ample crew to engage the project with reasonable progress and he stayed with the project until it was finished. He graciously worked with plan changes during construction and made every effort to realize our expectations. The materials used were No-Climb 5' woven wire and 16' rough-cut oak boards, provided at a substantial discount to reduce the cost of the overall project for the owner. The fence lines are as straight as an arrow, the curves are well-formed and appropriate for the contours of the terrain and all the gate posts are still straight a year later -enough concrete and bracing posts were used around stress points and gates to hold the fence without sagging or unsightly bows. The most interesting aspect of this fence construction was the use of a crimped joiner to splice the cut ends of the wire sections together, which allowed for three important features (1) Cost savings from less wasted wire (2) No sharp edges to injure animals or people, and (3) The wire could be fixed at each end of a fence row, while tension keeps it in place across the interval span. Essentially, it makes for an articulate, sharp- looking wire fence. If you are trying to keep horses safe from marauding dogs, this is a wonderful way to go. The fence is fantastic, and it looks as good today as it did when it was first installed. The family is simply delighted with the product, the price and the workmanship.

His crew all wore ASPEN FENCE & DECK uniform shirts, were neat and clean in appearance; and sober, respectul and professional in their interactions with myself and other homeowners. It went smooth as silk from start to finish. From the estimate to the final product, ASPEN FENCE & DECK handled every aspect of the project flawlessly. This man, Mr. Clyde Wray, knows the business, knows the materials, and knows the product. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with, and the final product they delivered is just incredible! We have awarded to ASPEN FENCE & DECK three (3) separate contracts worth over $25,000 for like services. The Roxbury of Mt Vernon community has been clearly upgraded and our residents are more than happy with these new additions to our community. Note: We had obtained other bids for our fencing needs from ACCOCEEK FENCE & DECK, as well as AMERICAN FENCE & DECK, and ARLINGTON FENCE. In a past project we had hired ACCOCEEK but they all were clearly outbid and outdone by ASPEN FENCE & DECK. ASPEN FENCE & DECK used better materials than was offered by any of their competitors. At first I was very pleased with the first half of the installation. Everything seemed to go as planned. After a month or so I realized they had overtightened most of the screws therefore breaking them. The fence panels were swinging or completely unattached on most sections. When they returned to do the second phase I explained what had happened and they added new screws making more holes on fence panels which do not have much room to begin with. They were only able to place one screw in each section versus the two that the manufacturer intended. And of course they did the same thing again. I also noticed that they did not place the tops on the gate so there are unfinished ends showing. I contacted Clyde immediately regarding this issue and have been waiting for probably 10 months for these end caps to show up. I also requested more screws so I could re-attach the panels myself. They should have pre-drilled holes since they were having trouble not over-tightening these screws. Overall, I am very disappointed with the response I have received from Clyde. I felt like he abandoned me since I paid him in full and it was more trouble to finish things to make them mostly right. In reality, he should have returned money since the installation was done improperly and can not be fixed without replacing most of the panels and posts.
