Culligan

When the service person arrived to replace the UV light bulb (before a time-out alarm would begin), he informed me that our bulb couldn't be replaced and that he had to install a new system or else the alarm would begin sounding continuously. Unfortunately I believed him, and authorized him to do that. But apart from the fact that his installation ran water pipes in front of a permanent bookcase, when my wife (who was familiar with our system) got home from travel, she told me that the bulb we needed was available in local plumbing supply shops, so he SHOULD have been able to replace it. Then we discovered that besides misleading me and doing a poor installation job, he had removed our previous UV system, which was only 2 years old and cost about $600. When we contacted Culligan/Stoner Enterprises they said our equipment had been discarded and couldn't be returned to us. After a long period of attempting to get the company to redress the problems and do something to make this right, I was called by a senior manager/owner who very rudely informed me that they would do nothing to correct this situation, even the unauthorized disposal of our property, and that he expected to be paid in full.
