Description of Work: The movers were on-time and professional (very nice guys!!). They were responsive to our requests and worked as fast as they safely could. They also took care with our belongings. My only criticisms are as follows: 1) they didn't wrap furniture items that could open (drawers, cabinets with doors, etc.) in movers plastic to prevent them from swinging open while in transit, which all the previous moving companies I've used before have done; and 2) we were told that we'd be paying for 3 movers but 4 showed up and we were charged an extra $10/hour for the extra mover. Ultimately this was less expensive than paying for an extra hour since theoretically 4 movers are faster than 3, but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time! Overall, they were a great business to work with and we would use them again!

+ -1 moreThey are always on time when they say they are going to be on the day they say they are going to be. No problem, excellent company, very dependable and accommodating. When he wasn't available I did use another company that I was happy with.
Description of Work: We use them exclusively for moving stuff. We recently had to have some of my in laws belongings moved into storage.

+ -1 moreThe team of 4 arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule, worked tirelessly for 13.5 hours with one 45 minute break for lunch. All were very polite and exhibited professionalism throughout the workday. All items were handled as though owned by the person doing the handling and all boxes, etc. delivered to the appropriate destination room.
Description of Work: Moved my entire household from one address (1171 Portland Drive, Harrisonburg, VA) to another (3215 Barrington Drive, Harrisonburg, VA).

+ -1 moreThey didn't charge to get to the pick up, They were prompt. Graciously catered to her indecision about many items filling a 43 foot truck. They did the job quickly, didn't damage any of the many antiques, Got the right things to the right locations in quick time, and left my mother in law very happy! They came in under the quoted price! And only asked to the hours! We have moved dozens of times over the years, and they can't be beat.
Description of Work: Moved elderly Mother-in-laws mixed "Stuff" from a storage in Winchester to Harrisonburg apartment and storage.

+ -1 moreThis was our second local move with Harris, and we were justified in choosing them again. The crew arrived early, walked through the house, paying close attention to what items stayed and what items went. They carefully and correctly disassembled and reassembled furniture, removed and replaced front doors. They were courteous, careful, and efficient in every task. At the end of the move, the crew even moved an old sofa to a friend's house for us. It was a daylong job, but Harris did not waste a single minute.
Description of Work: We hired Harris to move our whole house -- a family of four / 3 bedrooms. The move was local, within the same town, and required two trips back and forth between the old and new houses. Three hard-working movers packed our stuff, set it around the new house carefully, disassembled and reassembled our dining room table, large office desk, and beds. It was a daylong job, but the Harris crew was productive, careful and courteous every minute of the day.

+ -1 moreI needed a mover to do a local move and were referred to Bobby Harris by a number of my coworkers. They didn't offer to come to my home to do an estimate, as some moving companies do. Instead they merely quoted me the hourly rate of $150 per hour. Three men came out on the scheduled date 15 minutes early -- for which I was not charged -- and immediately began to disassemble and move all of my stuff into the truck in a quick, efficient and careful manner. Harris' crew was respectful of my stuff and paid close attention to where things belonged. They took apart and reassembled my furniture skillfully, and they didn't charge me for their one-hour lunch break. Overall, I was extremely pleased with Harris' professionalism and attention to detail.
Description of Work: Moved my family's stuff from one house to another within the same city.
