Description of Work: Blew a major plumbing leak in the basement on a sunday. They came right out and worked on it. However it was the weekend so the cost was high because of charges. But the work was great and he got everything fixed.

Description of Work: I sent an inquiry to see if they worked on water softeners and they responded quickly saying yes. (I provided the brand in my email.) When I called them to arrange a service call, the service guy said it would be better to buy a new softener than to try and repair the one I have. He never even looked at it or ask what it was doing. I always thought Blauch Brothers was reputable but not any more.

+ -1 moreThe plumber showed up right on time and got to work right away. He worked on both flushing the water heater and installing the valve at the same time, so as to not waste time standing around. The water valve was in a tight spot but he was able to find a workable solution and he was done in a few hours. He was very professional and answered all my questions. I would use them again. The only issue was that it took about 2 months to receive the bill. I actually called them about a month after the service to see when I should expect it and they said they were several weeks behind. Not a big deal, just a little strange.
Description of Work: Installed a shut-off valve for a refrigerator water line and flushed our on-demand tank-less water heater.

+ -1 morePositive: The plumber arrived early in the 3hr scheduled window and was professional, punctual, and down for business. I expected him to check things out and provide me an estimate then schedule the service for another day but he was able to quickly repair a nagging outdoor faucet and unclog a drain in and lt;1hr. The provider was courteous and professional and didn't leave a mark on/in the house. I would definitely use them again. Negative: I am yet to receive a bill for the services rendered several weeks ago so I cannot review their prices.

Description of Work: We researched carefully before we went shopping, first visiting the big-box national stores, where at Loew's, amazingly, a worker told us about Blauch. We went there immediately, where we found friendly folks who answered our questions, asked us some in return, and offered recommendations. We had chosen in advance a high-end regular electric water heater, which they had in stock, and it was a done-deal. 'Twas the end of the afternoon, but they were at the house the next morning at 8:30 and installed the new heater. Time: an hour-and-a-half. They returned the next day to clean up and make adjustments to the system.The installers had wit and personality. In December our water softener system failed. We called Blauch. They arrived the next day, the 19th, at 8:30 in morning, installed the necessary parts of the system and repaired and made adjustments to the whole system. Once again, remembering Hubert Humphrey, we "were pleased as punch." And again: a fair price. The installer was a different person, but was, like the others, personable and friendly. I would call on Blauch again for ANY problem with heating, cooling, plumbing, or water systems.

Description of Work: Used tools to unclog main waste pipe from house to septic tank. Pipe was obstructed, cleared the pipe, and discovered that septic tank was full and needed to be pumped. The plumber was so considerate of our concerns about the expense, that he went to lunch while we waited on the septic service to arrive so that he wouldn't have to charge us for that time. He didn't make a "mess" of our house or bathroom (He had to remove to toilet etc.), answered all of our questions, and was very polite. He also recommended a septic service that was good and well priced. We would definitely call them again!

+ -1 moreI called Blauch Brothers on the same day we had a plumbing leak and spoke with Ron who was very rude. Ron did explain that they did commercial heating but did not do residential heating. I asked if they did residential plumbing and he said yes but was very rude and condecending on the phone. I told him we had no heat and he basically said call someone else. I dony know why a company that says they do heating would not do work for homeowners. Very rude!
Description of Work: I called this company on the same day I called about a plumbing leak because we had no heat and they refused to do the work.

+ -1 morePlumber came, his name was Danny I think, and could barely speak. He munbled everything and smelled horrible, like he was drunk. He cut two holes in my ceiling and had to leave my house twice to go get "parts". After 4 hours the leak was finally fixed but he told me that he didnt do drywall repairs, he was a plumber and gave me the bill and left. I had to call someone else to repair his holes and he never cleaned up his mess.
Description of Work: Called to have plumber come fix leak in ceiling from shower upstairs.

+ -1 moreThey also took a second look at the water softener, as we had problems with hard water arising. The frst time (2 month prior) he came out, all he said was that the 'scheduler' was not properly timed. I knew that wasn't correct. Of course we the water continued to get harder after he 'fixed' it, so I had him look at it while he was there for the leak...We hadnt touched the water softener, yet he insisted that it wasn't the way he had left it. We ended up having to get a whole new water softener, which wasn't his fault, but had he told us the correct problem in the first place, we could've replaced the softener earlier and not risked ruinng our on demand water heater....AND paid for two service trips. Our new softener doesn't even require the water filter either....In the end, I just feel that they aren't up to date on plumbing and if they can't fix a problem, simply tell us.
Description of Work: Responded to a water leak in our pantry. There is a water softener and a water filtration system located inside. He said the gasket was not fitted properly on the water filter and he couldn't get the top off of the unit to simply replace the gasket, so he charged us for replacing the entire unit. That evening, my husband was able to remove the top....

+ 0 moreWent extremely well, explained our situation and our thoughts on a solution, asked for this opinion, they reconfirmed out belief and were able to research a few ideas before making recommendations. Scheduling the initial consultation and service was extremely easy, and professional, just simply called their main line. For both appointments the individuals arrived on time and were efficient with their time, and very clean. Cost of service was also aligned with other estimates we had received. We will use them again for all our service needs!
Description of Work: Installed a mechanism to flip closed as to not allow back ups into the basement.

+ 0 moreThe company is always reliable, highly professional and courteous and does the job right the first time. For the water well system, the well water presented a complex array of problems including e-coli contamination that could not be rectified due to nearby livestock grazing and high levels of iron and iron bacteria. Working with me, the Blauch Bros. personnel were able to advise me on options and we selected a filtration system that would allow my existing UV disinfection system to work properly, as well as adding a softener unit that would further filter and sanitize the water. After the system was installed, the well water coming through the house taps passed all sanitation standards which I verified through an independent, third party EPA certified water lab. Blauch Bros. also explained how to operate and maintain the system to me.
Description of Work: Have used for several plumbing jobs but the largest was to install a well water filtration, sanitizing and softening system.
