Lloyd came, a week before the service, and gave me the estimate. He mentioned all my options including keeping the residual mulch for my own use, which I chose since, at his suggestion, would be great mixed into a border I wanted to expand. He gave me suggestions in what to plant in this border as he is an arborist also. He was very courteous, friendly, professional, did an excellent job with grinding my stump down (10 inches below ground level). I would certainly recommend him and would use his services again.

Went very well. Crews showed up on time and completed the job ahead of schedule. Very professional removal and disposal of the trees and stumps. Would highly recommend.

We hired Tree Surgeons to remove three scrub pine trees in our backyard as well as to trim a very overgrown and ancient pecan tree. We had been worried about hiring somebody to take them down given their extremely close proximity to both our house and our neighbor's house. Watching the Tree Surgeons work seamlessly as a team quickly alleviated my fears of a tree crashing through the roof of my house. They brought in a crane to remove the sections of the pine trees and used a bucket truck to access the pecan tree through my other neighbor's yard. When the truck sank into the neighbor's lawn, the foreman repaired the spots. I was extremely impressed with their courtesy and professionalism and would not hesitate to hire them again in the future.

Excellent! All debris was removed except the mulch created by the stump grinding (which they told me they would leave). All limbs were removed and I trusted that they would use their own judgement and didn't have to point out every limb. They even talked me out of taking a third tree down that I thought was too close to the house. The owner is an Arborist and explained that the tree is ok and didn't need to come down whereas other estimates I received just included everything I wanted. I have recently scheduled this company to take down two more dead (over 50 feet) trees and completely trust them. Their prices are comparable to other estimates but overall were less than most.

This is a wonderful husband and wife team to work with. They came out twice when we made changes to the original quote. They worked with me on the price and were happy to answer all my questions via email or phone. The work was performed a few days after Christmas which was amazing. The crew was polite and did a full clean up when the job was completed. I now recommend them to everyone.

Lloyd is a very professional person, and we thought he did a great job last year when he removed some trees on our lot. However, in the last 2 times that we called him for estimates, his numbers were about 30-50% higher than everyone else's, which was sad for us because we think so highly of him. With jobs in the several thousand dollar range, though, a difference of even 30% is some serious cash!

This large job went extremely well from beginning to end! 1) Lloyd Jordan's estimate started things right - he was on time, knowledgeable, and professional. 2) Marcie Jordan followed up the following day with a detailed written proposal (via e-mail) -- at significantly lower cost than other bids I received for this job. 3) The work crew arrived, on time, on the day we had agreed to start the work - with all the tools and equipment needed. This was a pleasant surprise because rainy weather had been wreaking havoc with their work schedules. 4) The crew matted the driveway and portions of the lawn where they needed to use heavy equipment and exercised caution to avoid damage wherever possible. 5) Day Two was lost to a heavy rainstorm, but the crew was back on-site the following morning. 6) The crew and quot;limbedand quot; all trees, using the bucket truck or their professional climber to ensure no potential for damage to our house. 7) Trees were felled with excellent precision. 8) Debris clean up was outstanding, with a lot of attention to detail. 9) This crew was first-class in every respect. They are expert in their skills and work extremely well as a team. A real plus was the personable/pleasant way they worked with us from the start of the job to the end. 10) Lloyd was on the job site most of the time, joined by Marcie a couple of days. However, even when he was absent, the team continued to perform very well. 11) This is an excellent SMALL BUSINESS that deserves support from the Hampton Roads community.

From the first time Lloyd came to my house to look at the job and give me an estimate, my impression was very favorable. He was on time, professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Tree Surgeons' price was extremely competitive but I would have paid a premium for the customer service and results they provided. On the day of the work, they were prompt and took the time to ensure we were on the same page regarding the work to be done. I asked for an additional bush to be removed and they were happy to accomodate. The crew worked quickly but carefully and did a flawless job. At the end of the job, the supervisor walked the property with me to ensure I was satisfied. As Lloyd promised during the estimate, you can't tell they were there except for all of the missing bushes and some dirt where the stumps used to be. There will be more landscaping in our future and I will absolutely use Tree Surgeons again...I won't waste my time getting any other quotes either. The service, results and price were all superior.

They are actually coming up tomorrow to render the service. The estimate was for $1400.

The crew were very professional, accomodating and courteous. Service was provided exactly as had been contracted on said dates. I am very satisfied with the services received.

I was so very impressed with the speed at which the crew fell the oak. It was like watching a stage show! And the clean up amazed me. The rain came in, but they kept working through the drizzle. It was only after the real rain started that they quit. Lloyd even offered to find a piece of chain link for me and install it. I recommended Tree Surgeons Unlimited to 2 people already and will gladly recommend them to anyone who needs tree service.

Mr. Jordan and his crew communicated and worked together in a professional manner.They listened to my requests and concerns while on the job. They were through in the work. I had a diseased tree that was dying. It was not apparent what was causing the tree to die. The crew cutt out the diseased limbs even though it was more work than was originally thought . I was really impressed at how well they cleaned up everything and went over the work performed to ensure I was satisfied. Probably not your typical tree company. Price was competitive with other companies.

The entire process, from obtaining the estimate to the clean up performed by the crew, was a breeze. The crew arrived on time (after calling ahead to let us know they were en route), made sure that we were all in agreement with the work to be performed, and got right to work. The crew used a bucket truck to access the tree (after placing weight-spreading pads on the ground to minimize damage to the yard). From start to finish, the work took 4 hours. We are extremely pleased with the quality and professionalism exhibited by Tree Surgeons and will definitely call them in the future for our tree service needs.

LLoyd and Marcie were very professional as well as personable. Theirs was the best quote out of 4 that I had gotten. They came by and gave me the estimate within two days of my initial phone call. On the sheduled day, the team showed up on time and worked for two days to complete the job. They were very professional and exceeded my expectations. They raked up everything but the wood that was left, as agreed, for me to stack. The crew was not only impressive, they were pleasant and respectful.I would definitely recommend Tree Surgeons to anyone having tree work done.

I found them on Angie's List. They did a really good job and cleaned everything up really well. They seemed fair. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Great experience. Lloyd and Marcie are extemely professional and knowledgable. The price was very fair considering the scope of work, the communication was great. They are in high demand, so it is important to schedule work ahead of time, but it is worth waiting for them to perform your services, rather than risk using a less dependable and skilled contractor. I would really emphasize this if the job is challenging, such as difficult to reach trees. The stunps were ground to lawn level and the yard left very clean. Hard to tell the work had just been performed that day. They came back to inspect the job again with us that evening and we had the opportunity to let them know how pleased we were. We have already requested an estimate on another large tree, and when finances permit will definitely use them for this job as well.

They were good and they did what they said they were going to do but they were not very timely. My appointment was delayed for two months and then was delayed another week or so due to the hurricane. Once they gave me a date and time, they were here. I might possibly use them in the future but I would re-shop.

They did a very good job. I was very pleased with them. The people who came out were very nice and very professional. I had no problem with them contacting me or answering any questions that I had. The most things was that they made time to come out and take care of the most important as I knew that they had a very tight schedule.

They arrived in the morning to start and heavy rain delayed them, but they waited it out and were very efficient once they started. Even in the heat, they didn't drag their feet.They had to use a bucket truck to reach most of the trees and they protected the grass and walk from tire indentations while they were there. The guys worked together so well, and they looked like they were haing fun. When everything was down, they raked all the little bits of leaves up left the yard practically better looking than when they arrived! The foreman would take the time to tell me what they were doing and to make sure they were getting all the right trees along the property line. The overall project took two days, because of weather and the amount of wood that had to be hauled away, but their enthusiam for the job never waned. I would definitely hire them again for tree work.

Tree Surgeons Unlimited did an excellent job removing my tree. It was in a difficult area to access in my backyard, and they removed it with no trouble using their crane. They were very courteous and professional throughout the entire process. They did an excellent job of cleaning up and hauling away the remains of the tree. I got four estimates and they quoted a fair price, much less than two of the other companies and about the same as another. I decided to go with them based on the reviews here on Angie's List. I am very pleased with their work and will definitely use them again.

The owner is an intelligent, knowledgable person, the workers did a great job. They arrived as scheduled, worked very hard in hot muggy weather, did it all in one day. There were absolutely no problems. We now will count on this company for all our tree work. We have lived in the area for 35 years and have used many tree services over the years. This company ranks with the best in our opinion.
