Description of Work: I received a bid from Tidewater for a complete roof repair. They were very responsive, professional and provided a detailed estimate within 36 hours. Charlie was easy to work with - he showed up, and we corresponded via text thereafter and he provided a very detailed estimate in writing a short time later. I ended up getting a similar priced bid form another vendor, and opted to go with them - but Tidewater was very competitive - and easy to work with.

Description of Work: We contracted for replacement of damaged wood on our porch and eaves, replacement of old shingles with 30 year architectural shingles, and installation of leafless gutters. Emmitt and his team of professionals are great to work with from start to finish. You might pay a little extra, but it's well worth it.

Description of Work: I had the K-Guard Leaf Free Gutter System installed in September 2001 to avoid the need to climb on a ladder for maintenance (cleaning). After a few months the gutters began to collect an accumulation of dirt and grit. Soon they began to grow a green film and in general looked terrible. The system requires a lot more maintenance than regular gutters and still don't look clean. The company's remedy "get up there with a scrub brush and scrub."

 + -1 moreThey arrived with any army and worked steady all day. I'm not sure if they even took a lunch break. They removed the old shingles and all the plywood and disposed of it. When they left you would never know they had been there. They even rolled a magnetic roller over our driveway to pick up any stray nails. We had the old roof replaced because it leaked. We have had no issues with the new roof.
Description of Work: They replace our entire roof which included removal of the old shingles as well as the underlying plywood.

 + -1 moreThe 5 man crew finished the job in one day. They cleaned up after themselves but the materials they used were cheap. The roof ended up leaking afterwards and needed to be fixed again. They weren't too professional while at work. I wasn't satisfied with the quality of work and wouldn't recommend them to friends.

 + -1 moreTidewater Roofing worked very hard to get my new shingles on my roof. I was happy with the entire experience and my roof looked great when they were done. One of the great things about this company was that they made sure every nail and every little thing was picked up before they left.
Description of Work: They redid my entire roof which included tearing off the old shingles and putting new ones on. I had a 2500 square foot ranch style home.

 + -1 moreThey got here with their 7 man crew and were done in one day. They cleaned up after themselves really well. You couldn t even tell that they had been here. There have been no problems at all with our roof. They called afterwards to see if I was satisfied with the job, and also to ask questions about the service that they provided. The other prices that I got from other contractors in the area were twice as much.
Description of Work: They tore off our old roof and replaced 1 sheet of plywood and then put on new shingles.

The new roof was a far better look and I haven't had to call them over at all because it hasn t showed any problems. The price was fair in my eyes and I believe that I got a good quality roof.

 + -1 moreThe gutters were cut here on site to custom fit. The gutters they used was very nice and of high quality. The men showed up when they were scheduled. They did a nice job of cleaning up after themselves. They also kept us informed of what was going on. They did haul away our old gutters as part of their service.
Description of Work: They removed our old gutters and then replaced them with new leaf guard covers and down spouts.
