Stanley Steemer

I booked the cleaning for today, at 2.10 pm I got the message that their guy Chris was on his way. From their tracking system, he was probably 20 minutes out. About 2.50pm, I made a call to the company, the tracker had him going to some strange places, stopping in a cul-de-sac some 4 minutes from me. They said they'd have him call me. At 3.10pm, an hour and change from the time he said he was on his way, I called the company again. They'd tried to call him and got no response. Meanwhile, I've had my two largish dogs in their travel crates in the car (with the back open so they had plenty of fresh air, but not a lot of space). The woman tried to call Chris again, no answer. I gave up, cancelled the service, said I'd find someone else who is reliable, and brought in the dogs. It's now 3.45 and I have still not had any word from Chris.

Our carpet is around 20 years old. We have maintained it with a personal carpet shampooer, but it is old. We were considering replacing the carpet, but thought we would see what a professional cleaning could do. What a difference! Stanley Steemer came out on a Saturday, moved and cleaned under all the furniture, put the furniture back, treated one room for pet odor, and shampooed my dining room chairs. I was very impressed, and will definitely use them again in the future.

The service and cleaning was great. The cleaners were thorough, friendly and well-versed. However, there is a big disconnect between what I was told on the 800 number and the actual services. The 800 number said they would vacuum. They didn't. The 800 number said they would spot treat. They didn't. And they ended up charging me extra for the staircase and for the walk-in closet. The 800 number said they would lift *all* furniture and put it on foam blocks to make sure it wasn't damaged. They didn't - they just worked around the dining room table and hutch, which could have been bad, given that the pieces are solid oak. I ended up moving a whole lot of stuff that didn't need to be moved because they didn't lift all the pieces. The end results were good, but I had done the vacuuming myself. And thankfully I had pre-treated the worst of the spots myself a few weeks before, and they all came up. I would recommend that after talking to the 800 number you talk to the local people and get the real scoop about what they will and won't do. It will save a lot of effort.

Team was very punctual and friendly. Service provided was quick and professional. We had already moved all objects but understood that the team would move furniture as necessary. Don't expect to put everything back in place right away because the carpet will definitely be damp.

For the most part they were okay but they always try to sell me extra stuff. They were on time, courteous and kind. They kept trying to up sell me several things that I didn't need.

They did a really good job. I don't recall the price.

They were outstanding and meticulous. You can never go wrong with this company.

Person who answered the office phone was not entirely clear about the prices. After I told her the size of my rooms and what I wanted cleaned, I received an email price quote; I was surprised that the quote included an additional fuel charge. Also, was not told that there was a minimum charge for cleaning an area rug, no matter how small it was, until the cleaning crew arrived. I had been told that the price for cleaning an area carpet was based on the square feet. Cleaning crew arrived promptly and were courteous. However, based on other customer reviews, I anticipated wonderful results for some stained areas of my carpet after years of use in my den. Regrettable, the stains remained after cleaning, so I didn't see much difference after the cleaning. I was surprised that the men didn't spend more time on the stained areas... basically just giving one pass of the steam cleaner. In addition, the crew leader seemed eager to upsell me on other services, e.g., stain guard for the carpet and other upholstery, cleaning for my hardwood floors, and new exterior doormats.

main problem I had were the price jumps. I needed someone out on very short notice which they did. Then proceeded to jump the price almost 100.00. I would have waited the extra day for my normal cleaner if I had known the price. Otherwise they were great.

They did a great job on everything. Originally hadn't planned on the chairs and barstools but soooo glad we did. Everything was superb!!

Crew arrived on time and were very professional. They cleaned a bedroom, hall and stairs. Bedroom carpet had many stains and was well worn. Crew did an excellent job. Bedroom carpet had many stubborn stains on which they made a lot of extra effort. Overall result for all carpets was better than I had hoped. They also cleaned my favorite recliner and it looks nearly new again. We will definitely be using these Stanley Steemer again.

Stanley Steemer is a very good company and they do a good job.

The finished product looks great. I would hire them again to clean and polish our hardwood floors and our tile floors. (and the carpet or furniture) thanks to Chad, walter, and John for a great job.

Two men Walter and Jon arrived promptly and I showed them the rooms to be cleaned. My carpet is 10 years old and had dog urine stains and was stained from use. They cleaned a total of 5 areas and put foam pieces under the furniture to lift it up and allow the carpet to not get stained by the furniture color. They were fast, friendly, and efficient and my floor looks 100% better. I have used this company in the past and was always please. The carpet was dry within a day and they said it dries quicker in cold weather. I used a groupon so nomally my cost would have been 230 instead of the 120 I paid.

I have been happy with their service. I would recommend them.

My experience with Stanley Steemer Company was fine. They did a good job. They were here right on time. They were very professional. I would use them again in the future.

The folks I spoke with setting up the appointment were courteous and able to schedule the work when I wanted it done. They also gave me a call when the technicians were on their way to my home. The two technicians who did the work were pros and they did their work efficiently, thoroughly, and quickly. If all their technicians are as competent as these guys I have no problem recommending Stanley Steemer.

There was a special if I make the appointment online I will receive $20 off. 1. I made the appointment time to be between 8 and 8:30 a.m., they showed up @ 7:15 a.m. and told me I place the order for 7:00 a.m.. ( I showed them a copy of my conformation for 8 and 830), I was then told that if I didn't let them come in at this time they would have to reschedule me for a later time. I allowed them to come in. 2. Before they started the worked I mention the $20 off coupon, ( no one had any record of the coupon) I was told that if I used the coupon that would bring me below the minimum of what they charge to clean carpet (who knew there was a minimum on cleaing carpet) at this point I had had enough I cancelled the service. In closing I have used stanley Steemer many of times but I have never had this problem, guess I look for another carpet cleaner.

They did an excellent job. The carpet looked great.

Walt and Prayag were on time, notifying me with a courtesy call about 30 minutes prior to arrival. They quickly surveyed the work area, noting the spots requiring extra attention. Moved most furniture as necesssary; only two pieces were too heavy, or too fragile to move. Blocked up all furniture at the end. Returned two weeks later to remove several minor rust stains.

Went really well. We had cleaned out the three rooms as much as possible before they arrived, and the furniture that was left they had foam stands to hoist the furniture up on to allow the carpet to dry underneath. They were very thorough and even was even able to get out a few stains that I've been working on for the last year.

I have been with Stanley Steemer for quite a while and the things they used made my carpet dry fast. All of the high traffic areas were good and cleaned. They were always respectful and were available whenever I called them and they were always prompt.

I was not happy with them at all. They left my carpet soaking wet after they were done. It was so soaked we had to get new carpet because it was still wet six months later. When we pulled it up we had mold growing underneath the carpet. They obviously just didn t clean the carpets properly.
