Contractor demolished old powder room to the studs and hauled away trash, Complete finishing of new walls, contracted with electrician for electrical work, coordinated with county for inspections, handled plumbing contracting and extra work, installed fixtures, painted, finished. All was done in a timely fashion and to superior standards. The crew also returned later to assist in the installation of some new kitchen cabinets (an add-on to the original contract).

They were very thorough and explained everything about the roofing process. They talked to us about different products and gave us options.

Shawn came to our house and gave us a proposal. His quote for the GAF materials that comprised the roofing system was impossible to turn down. We had 3 other companies that utilize GAF give us a bid (GAF requires that certain components be installed for a valid life time warranty.) so we were able to compare apples to apples. It was raining the first day that we were scheduled so they postponed the job till the next day. The roofers came out on time and finished the roof by mid afternoon. I took that day off early from work and sat outside and observed the entire process. Not being a professional roofer myself I cannot say that I took note of all the important details but I was impressed by how well the roofing crew operated. The new roof looks very nice (it is hard for me to get excited about a roof) and I would definately recommend Eastern VIrginia Roofing and Exteriors to anyone who asked. Regards Ben Harvie

He provided a great price. They went above and beyond what was expected. He even came back 3 times to make sure the satellite dish was set up properly so I wouldn't have to pay a fee for the satellite company to come out. The did a great job on the clean up after the work was completed.

Having had a good experience with having Eastern Virginia Exteriors replace my roof, I hired them to replace our old and drafty sliding glass doors to the patio/porch. We wanted outward opening French style patio doors, and we wanted to put in a pet door for our cats. We also tacked on replacing the porch screen door. Shawn was quick in responding to our initial request, but finding a French style, outward opening patio door that would accommodate a pet door was not as easy as we had hoped. Shawn had to do quite a bit of research on pet doors and with exterior door manufacturers before we settled on what we wanted and he could give us an estimate. Then, being a small job with a contractor who usually does big jobs, it took awhile to schedule us in. But when everything was finally ready, Shawn and two helpers showed up as scheduled and did a very thorough and professional job of the installation. It was not an easy job, and they worked later than they expected to, but they took no shortcuts and didn't leave until it was finished and everything was exactly right. They cleaned up well, removed all the debris, and Shawn even insisted on vacuuming the den's carpet and furniture to get off the dust that they had generated. There were no surprise extra charges and no disappointments. The doors are great, the cats love their pet door, and our den is so much warmer and less drafty now!

Shawn was prompt in getting back to me, gave us a detailed estimate, and answered all our very specific questions thoroughly. He didn't try to sell us on upgrades, but gave us the pluses and minuses of several different options and helped us to decide on the right color for our energy efficiency and resale value concerns. He personally supervised his excellent crew through the entire day, and was the last to leave after spending 20 minutes squatting in our driveway searching for any nails their giant magnet might have missed during cleanup (only 2). They covered all our bushes and plantings to keep debris off, and were careful not to throw anything directly on them. Nothing at all was damaged, and he insisted on coming back later to install standoffs on our ladder so that we wouldn't damage the shingles when going on the roof to work on the antennas (no charge). The crew was super careful with the flashing and waterproofing around the chimney and with the anchors for our amateur radio antennas. They did a great job and were all very professional. The cost was right in the middle of the bids we got, but the deciding factor was and quot;the extra mile.and quot; The service was absolutely top notch
