LOUDOUN SEPTIC TANK SVC

Loudoun Septic just left after pumping our septic system today. They were prompt, professional and answered all my questions. I recommend! Shout out to Danny Gray and John Stein V who did the work today. Thank you.

We had the dreaded septic alarm go off over the weekend and determined it was likely the floats that were bad. I called Monday morning and they arrived Monday afternoon to pump out the tank and diagnose the alarm. The floats were determined to be an issue and they scheduled a repair for the next day (Tuesday). The crew arrived early Tuesday morning as promised and completed the repair in a timely manner. I watched at the end and could tell they were intent on doing the job correctly the first time. I use Loudoun Septic quite a bit. Good people, responsive, and good quality. I've never had an issue with them and they are honest.

Loudoun Septic was very straightforward, no-nonsense, and predictable which is very appreciable. They were very responsive and very communicative and did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it. They offered a few options but didn't put the hard sell on anything. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat.

I contacted Loudoun Septic after another maintenance guy noticed a small backup in the basement bathtub. They agreed to come out, pump the tank and look for any problems. We had lived in the house for about 3 years, had a brand new build and were due for a pumping. They came out, pumped the tanks, snaked the lines and discovered that the filter pipe was not connected to the other tank. This was done by another provider when the home was built 3 years ago. Jesse was able to get several people out to help them that day. They pumped out the tank, cleaned and repaired the filter and attached the pipe to the second tank. This was all done while I was on a rare business trip and my wife was managing two sick children. I can't thank them enough for their promptness, professionalism and competence in fixing a situation before it got really bad. I will definitely use them again and will recommend them to all my neighbors. I couldn't have hoped for a better group of people to help with a bad situation.

I called to make an appointment and was told they could come out that day to evaluate the septic system. They were very clear, on the phone, that the cost would depend on the depth to the septic connection and that they would bill us the complete amount after the work was finished. They came out to evaluate the depth of the septic tank and determined that the tank was buried below the current standard of 18 inches. My husband was home and watched them stick a measurement stick in the ground where the septic tank is. They scheduled the work for later that same week and brought the heavy equipment necessary to get to the septic tank connection. They dug down to the septic tank connection, pumped out the septic tank, filled in the hole they had created and left. The bill arrived and was the amount I expected based on the depth to the septic tank and the work that was done.

They responded back very quickly to tell us that they didn't do inspections on our types of system and provided us with a name and number of a company that does those inspections. While I can't speak to the quality of their work, the fact that they responded quickly and provided us with an alternate provider speaks highly of their professionalism.

Very prompt and their scheduler, Laurie was fantastic. She even called me on a Sunday to confirm the appointment. The workers Cliff and Kevin did quality work in a timely manner and handled everything with the permits and the health department. The price was very competitive and I did shop around. I recommend their service if you want it done correctly and in budget.

ILoudoun Septic came out to service our septic tank. Upon request, they ended up spending a lot of time inspecting our very old and failing septic system (without any additional cost). They came up with options to save us large amounts of money. The previous company that come out did nothing to check failing components. I wish we had gone with Loudoun Septic 10 years ago. They REALLY care about their customers. They deserve an A+ rating.

Great. Were a little bit late due to emergency but they gave me plenty of notice so I didn't care. I didn't need to be home for the service but since I am a city girl I wanted to be there in case of any problems, I didn't know what to expect having never dealt with septic tanks before. The man with the truck came up to the house and introduced himself (Jesse I believe) he was very friendly and personable. He answered all of my questions and explained a lot of things I hadn't even thought of...you mean there's a pump. what a shock! Very happy with company and gladly recommend

I called and requested pumping as soon as we could have it done. I was told the fee was $250, but a digging fee would be added if the cover was below 18 ". They arrived promptly on the date agreed and pumped the tank. We were charged for the digging due to the depth. They suggested we purchase a riser (for $450), but we declined. They suggested we pump more often and made recommendations on the best TP to use.

Our septic lid was a good two feet under ground. Jesse said that we should install a riser, at a cost of $250, to make the tank lid accessible. They told us they would not be able to pump the tank since the lid was buried and that we would be charged a service fee for making a trip out on another day. I asked if we could dig to uncover it and he said if we could have the lid exposed by the time they finished their next job, they would come back and pump our tank for no additional charge (I don't think they REALLY thought we'd be able to get the hole dug!). The septic guys left and we dug like maniacs to uncover the lid. True to their word, after receiving our call that we'd dug down to the top of the tank, they came back out and pumped our tank for no additional charge. We opted not to install the riser as we do not want a concrete topper in the middle of our back yard. We will just make sure to have the top exposed when we make our next appointment with Loudoun Septic. They did a good job and we will use their services again.

Overall I thought this project went pretty well. Cliff Hott (owner) and Kevin (solid worker) quickly diagnosed the problem and told me exactly what they were going to do. These to guys know what they are doing. It was amazing watching Kevin...this guy did not slow down as he moved a thousand miles per hour. I got tired just watching how fast he moved. They showed up exactly when they said they would to do the repair. The repair took about 2 hours to complete and then I had to wait an extra day for Loudoun County inspector to come out and sign off on the repair once it was completed. This delay was NOT the fault of Loudoun Septic. I take pretty good care of my lawn so I was concerned about them digging the trench and tearing up the back yard. Cliff and Kevin did am excellent job. Cliff went the extra mile to dig up solid rectangles of good grass and place them to the side so that they could be place back on trench once it was filled back in. At the very end of the project, Kevin went above and beyond to make sure he replaced the sod back to the best of his ability. I am pretty sure many of other of contractors would have just replaced the trench with dirt and not cared about the grass. For this effort they get an A+. Another item to note was the Cliff quickly pointed out to me that I had a cheap brand filter in my main septic tank. He replaced it with a commercial grade heavy duty filter. He and Kevin gave me a crash course on how to clean the filter and even rigged up a long handle for me to grab it out of the tank so that I would not have to reach way down in the tank to retrieve the filter. The cost of the new filter and re-cutting of the "T" pipe was included in the total cost. Laurie who is the office manager for Loudoun Septic was very friendly and was always available when I called to ask questions.

Loudoun Septic came to inspect our septic system for a home sale and they failed everything, the tank and 3 distribution boxes. They were very available to replace the system and gave us a price. We decided to have the system inspected by 2 other companies and NOTHING failed. We had to have it pumped and the lid replaced on one distribution box but nothing else needed replacing or repaired. So get a 2nd opinion if you choose Loudoun septic.

Great. They were on time and very cautious about driving on the drainage line. Suggested using baking yeast instead of harmful commercial products.

Finally a good experience with a septic service. Initially could not find the septic (because I built a patio over it). They spent an hour on a friday evening to find the tank. They did this even though it cost them a potential additional charge. Even helped removed the relevant part of the patio. This was in sharp contrast to experience with Stewart's who never showed up and even though I called 3 times after that, they never even bothered to call me back. Also Loudoun fit me into their very busy schedule.

The pump out truck came early in the scheduled window. The work was performed within the stated time and professionally. The technician knew what he was doing and within half an hour he was done. He also sucked out stuff from the sewer line coming out of the house. He recommended not to use Costco bath room rolls, rather go with Cottenella or some other such brand which break down faster. He advised us to flush the sewer system every 3 month or so by filling up tub in the father side and highest floor of the house and let the water gush down the pipes.

UPDATE: Not sure what happened to these guys, but our last experience with them was abysmal. Rude and coarse. Unpleasant to deal with. Guess it's a family thing. One day you get the good guy, next time not so much. Lousy job of covering up the tanks/boxes. Left the place a mess. ORIGINAL: Very courteous and professional. They appear to have a staffed office who's able to make appointments and work schedule issues, so we didn't have to play phone tag or wait for the "guy" to get back from the field. Work was performed quickly and when we expected it done. Hole in the sod was recovered and a marker flag placed. We were given advice on the brands of tissues to avoid and those best suited for septic systems (those that break down fast/well - Cottonelle, Quilted Northern, recycled - said we should avoid Costco's Kirkland brand (he specifically asked if we were using Costco - which we were - we thought that was pretty impressive), dyed, especially thick or scented). He also advised us about the condition of the tank (it's old) and its fragility and what to do/not do to avoid problems. Very helpful info we didn't have before that. Others never offered us that sort of advice or perspective. Price was higher than others we've used in the past, but they were punctual, knowledgeable and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend, albeit with the high-price caveat.
