AJs Grading And Landshaping

AJ and his crew were wonderful to work with on this project. It took longer than expected due to some weather and unexpected issues at our property but they handled it very well and always kept us informed. Tiffany is also wonderful to work with on the business side. She is prompt and accurate. Thank you for everything!

When choosing someone to totally transform your outdoor living space as well as fix major drainage problems that ALL other excavators have told you were impossible to fix….. there are many things to consider…. Price, dependability, reliability, honesty and effectiveness are all things that are important factors in that decision. You will find ALL of those qualities in AJ plus many more! When he came to our home, we piled a list on him that we had honestly given up on ever being “fixed correctly” because not one person said it could be done the way we wanted it! AJ, with his quiet ways, just smiled and said “no problem” and acted as if we had yet to give him a challenge! Although we were hesitant at first (could it really be true that someone knows how to fix our problems??) AJ quickly calmed our fears and blew us away with his skill and craftsmanship. AJ is amazing and his work is beyond outstanding! He removed TONS of solid shale from the side of our garage…. Only inches away and never once touched the building or disrupted our daily living. He provided us with a gorgeous retaining wall, cleared lot, new drainage, and renewed hope that we CAN enjoy the outside of our home! Admittedly, I am a hard person to please, much less impress – but AJ surpassed all expectations and went well beyond anything we had ever dreamed or hoped of having! AJ would calmly answer our questions (and we had a LOT) and give us his expert opinion when asked. Tiffany is the perfect addition to the team as she handles the details while AJ handles getting the job done. Together, they are a power house and an incredible couple that have my absolute respect and vote of confidence. If you’re looking for someone to get the job done right the FIRST time – get AJ. If you have the time and money to have it done twice – AJ will fix what the first guy screwed up. Trust me. The man is a genius on a machine and a miracle worker. You can look at the retaining wall he did at our home - - and the clearing – it’s amazing. We literally had neighbors stop in the road to watch. We would rush home every single day to see what miracle he had performed while we were at work! I rarely, if ever, refer people….. but AJ and Tiffany? No hesitation – I’d refer them to my family. They’re THAT good.

AJ came out and checked out the two tasks, and responded promptly with a reasonable, professional bid. They had several projects going but scheduled us in as soon as they were able, keeping us informed and up to date as to when that would be. I greatly appreciated the fact that when they said they would be at the house they were there on time in each case, and the one time they were delayed AJ called ahead to let me know he would be 30 minutes late. As for the work - they got the oak tree down (it was a ~2 ft thick trunk about 60-70 ft high), and they prepped the area for the new shed nice and level and put down crushed run gravel evenly. All in all I was very happy with the job and I would definitely use them again.

Overall, the project went well, We had a misunderstanding about the widening of the driveway and renegotiated the cost, which was fair and reasonable,  We also added work to the original contract, which was performed timely and efficiently.  The principals were friendly and easy to deal with.

Excellent.  I would recommend AJ to anyone.  The work was meticulously done. AJs workers were pleasant and professional. The price was, I felt, more than fair for the work done. These guys were great!

AJ did an outstanding job of accessing a hard to reach location with the proper equipment, performed the required work in very rocky soil in a short period of time.  He is very adept and proficient in the operation of his machinery.  Prior to the job he visited the site to evaluate what needed to be done, kept in regular contact via phone and text message.  He called to confirm the appointment a day in advance and arrived on the job on time.  I was very pleased with his work and have plans to have him back to do additional work when my project proceeds.  Thank you.

Over all the Job went well. When the crawl space wall was finally exposed, the orginal plan was to use PLatnium Wrap on the foundation. I decided I also wanted to apply a coat of tar. This meant extra work and expense, A.J. was very pleasant and compliant with my request. I was so glad we did this. When he washed the dirt off the wall we found that one area of the wall was discinigrated and required repair. He repaired the wall as I asked, A.J was always polite, pleasant and prompt to return calls. About a week after the job was finished, I notice there was some insulationthat had been pulled down under the sunporch floor. When I notified AJ, he was prompt to repair it.

AJ performed all of the work precisely as we discussed it and within the time period agreed to. We were especially pleased that he was careful to remove all tree remnants from the impacted areas and graded it nice and smooth. He did a great job and we will definitely call on him again.

AJ is adept at getting a job done quickly with his skid loader. He followed a logical plan in all of the grading, etc. all the way through the seeding. He demonstrated good time management and completed everything we had agreed to. I felt it was a terrific investment.
