Olinger's Tree Service

Ollingers tree service provided excellent service for us after a recent storm at Lake Anna. They were on time, removed two trees that had fallen on our house plus additional large trees that had fallen in our yard safely with expertise and professionalism. They took the time to clean out the gutters, patch the roof and clean up the yard debris for us. We’d highly recommend them and use them again if needed!

Olinger’s Tree Service carefully removed several large but dying oaks and hickories, sparing rhododendrons underneath. They moved about a dozen large logs to an area where a mobile saw mill can access them. They also took down several acacia trees along an over grown fence line. They were fast and efficient and a very good value. Highly recommended.

This was David's second tree removal for us. The first was pre-COVID when we needed some trees cleared for a new shed and some were dying trees. They gave us a decent estimate, came on time, did what they said they'd do, performed stump removal, and cleaned up after. This week, we urgently needed one of our big trees removed, it was leaning from the embankment, root base had come out of the ground partially, and about to fall on the house. I called at 0726 Wednesday morning, left a vm. He calls back a few minutes later and we tell him the issue. He was at the property that same day, gave us an estimate. He rearranged all of his other appointments (this guy was booked for 2 weeks) so he could get to the tree NEXT DAY. They came right at the top of 9am, took the tree down piece by piece, cleaned up, raked over and leaf-blew the driveway. True professionals. I would call them again and recommend them 1000 times.

This could not have gone better! David Olinger called back right away, came out to give us a quote when he said he would, then came back the very next morning with his crew and took down 4 large trees for us. When the job was finished, everything had been cleaned up perfectly. David is obviously a man of integrity who gave us a fair quote for the work. We will definitely have him back for other projects in the future.

Responsive, on time, pleasant, reasonable….we had Olinger’s do some tree removal and land clearing, and the result was better than we could have hoped for. This was the 3rd time we called Olinger’s. This time we had one tree that had crashed thru our backyard fence, and another that had fallen but was hanging mere feet from wrecking another part of our fence. As usual, we were given a very fair quote. The crew was right on time and again were extremely careful with all their work. Not only did they cut and neatly stack all the wood that was cut, but they also cleared a hiking trail adjacent to our property. They’re professional, extremely competent, and a terrific value. Most importantly I trust them completely. A real joy to work with.

David, was on time and gave me a good price estimate for what services I requested. The day of the service..he was on time with his help. Both guys knew what they were doing . You could tell they protected my property and was careful taking down the trees. Great knowledge of trees and friendly but all business! I would hire them again, without hesittion!! Excellent. David was extremely responsive, professional, and punctual. He came out and quoted the job and was able to come back and complete the work just a few days later. He and his colleague did an incredible job and cleaned up everything nicely before they left. I would definitely recommend them.

David gave me what I considered a fair estimate. David and his crew arrived to do the job two days later. This was an enormous relief because the dead pine was threatening the house. They did a beautiful job. They took pains to clean up! Beautiful job. I will be hiring him again as I have a couple more jobs that need doing.

I will start off by saying it's hard to find a company to actually meet up with you for a estimate, I called 3 other company's and they were all no shows. I got intouch with Olinger's Tree service and talked to David and he met me 2 days later, went over everything my family and I wanted to do with our land for a family camping spot by Lake Anna. David had the land cleared for the camping area, driveway and cleaned up all the dead trees in 4 days. Absolutely beautiful job, I'm so glad we went with them. Definitely recommend Olinger's Tree Service and we will definitely call them when we need more done!

David Olinger was very competent and professional. He arrived for the appraisal appointment promptly and after looking over the job gave a very fair estimate. The day that he completed the work he arrived on time and he and his helper went to work right away. They removed trees and ground out stumps for me. Once they finished, they carefully cleaned the whole work area so that everything was left neat and clean.Working with David was a pleasure. I have already recommended him to several friends and will definitely use him again.

David and his crew did an awesome job! They were very conscientious about not trashing our yard despite the fact that it meant a lot of extra work for them. I also had a tight window to work with on timing and they worked me in. Really was a top notch experience. I give them my highest possible endorsement.

David Olinger was friendly, professional, prompt and efficient. He handled the job of cutting down a large dead tree within a few days of my contacting him, when we scheduled for the work to be done. He obviously knows his business and cares about providing quality service.

We needed tree and large (crepe myrtle, photinia) shrub removal / stump grinding, as well as heavy oak tree branches cut back from the roof. Olingers Tree Service gave a very fair quote (we received 4 from some other well-rated companies in the Bumpass/Lake Anna area), showed up when they promised, finished when they promised, and cleaned up after themselves. Respectful, too. They have appropriate equipment for the job (stump grinder, chipper, and a basket to get up high). They're also a small, local, family-owned business. If you are looking for a company that can do a good job for a fair price, I highly recommend them. I am going to bring them back when the weather is cooler to take care of routine tree maintenance.

David Olinger and his team showed up on schedule, made quick work of some challenging tree felling, and cut the wood up sized perfectly for later splitting for my wood stove. They are a 'family friendly' group that is polite and respectful, and they clean up after their work. David took significant time to explain to me about ideal tree growth and trimming, and I plan to have him back in the fall to take care of some things I should have done years ago for our large old oaks. I would put his team in the top 10% of anyone I've ever hired to work on our property, and would highly recommend him.

David and his team did an excellent job removing 1 large tree and other smaller trees. They were punctual and did great work cleaning up afterwards.
