Patriot Roofing & Remodeling

The estimates ranged widely and some companies wanted to do work that we didn't need. Patriot responded promptly, showed up when they said they would, did the work at the time they said they would, and at a very good price.

We called on 8/18/10 to set up an appt. for an estimate. He agreed to come the next day since he had another job in the area. He arrived about 11:30 am on 8/19/10 and immediately went to work.. He located the actual leak and gave us an estimate. We agreed and he repaired the problem lickety-split. He was gone before noon. We would definitely call Patriot Roofing (Tom Heflin) again.

It turned out very well. I would call them in the future if I ever needed more roofing work done. They have a minimum charge, which they made me aware of before coming out which I really appreciated.

i was extrememly pleased with patriot roofing and will use them again. the owner, tom heflin, is prompt, professional, and easy to work with. he worked me in and was willing to be flexible with my schedule. i was pleased with the price, and pleased with the repair.

The company came out quickly after my initial call and gave me an estimate. They were the only company that actually got up on my roof to see the damage up close. It was obvious from my initial meeting with the company that they knew their business. He was prompt and very professional. They came out quickly (within 1-2 days) of me calling to schedule repair. They arrived right on time, and completed the job in a very timely manner. The repair on the roof is undetectable, the new shingles blend in perfectly with the old ones. Also, the quality of work was outstanding. They pulled up all of the shingles and plywood until reaching the studs on either side of the damage, and then put down new plywood and carefully replaced all the undamaged shingles, and finished with new shingles where the damage had been. They were terrific, and I would not hesitate to have them out again. Very reasonable price as well.

I had a good experience, but I don't know if the price was competitive or not. I am not a roof expert so I assume what he said needed to be done did need to be done. The thing I really liked about him was that he was very responsive. He got back to me immediately and he came and took care of everything, I didn't even have to be home. Other roofers I found on Angie's List wanted to go in my attic and were going to get back to me, one company couldn't come out for 10 days, etc. There was a lot of rain, so everyone was very busy but Patriot showed up, gave me an estimate and made the repairs. It was so simple, I was amazed - I don't know how he did it. He must have done good work, I haven't seen any water leaking since.

We scheduled an appointment for an estimate to repair damage we had sustained after recent snow storms. Initially we were pleased because they said they would come out on a Sunday to do the estimate. After waitintg around for 2 hours they never came. We called on the Monday thinking there had perhaps been a communications error as to the date and time were told they were busy and our appointment had only been for an estimate. A courtesy call would have been appreciated to let us know they wanted to reshedule. We won't be contacting them any further if this is the manner it which they conduct their business.

We ended up going with the company that our neighbor was using. They were on time and professional.

We had water damage from a leak in the roof and had another contractor repair the mold in the wall, then discovered that the roof joist was rotted so we called Patriot Roofing. They came and provided an estimate the day after we called them and were at the house on the next non-rainy day to perform the work. We've gone several weeks with rain and there is no evidence of further water damage. They also have a year guarantee for their work and told us that if it leaks again they'll come back and fix it for free. They charged the same as their estimate.

They came when scheduled and completed work on time. They did a good job cleaning up debris from the job.

The experience was very good. The person was very honest about his work and very upfront about the nature of the work. I thought I had good value for my money. They have done a very good job for me and I would use them again if needed. The price was comparatively very reasonable.

My husband and I had contacted Patriot for an on site estimate. The initial phone call was handled unprofessionally by someone who sounded like they just happened to be by the phone. We chalked that up to 'one of those things'. Once we spoke to Mr Heflin, we scheduled an on-site assessment for May 2nd. We told him that we needed to have the assessment completed by 10:00 a.m., as we were going out of town. We called to confirm the day and time a few days earlier. Well, no one showed up and multiple calls to his cell phone went unanswered. Not only did he not pick up the phone..he never called to apologize or explain why he didn't show up or bother to contact us to explain. Based on these poor customer service interactions (if they couldn't show up or call back..what kind of job will they do?), we went with Capital Roofing and they responded immediately and did an excellent job on our roof

We e-mailed them on Friday, Tom called us Monday morning and the work was completed by 2:00 on that same Monday. They were punctual, professional and very quick. They also caulked around the chimmeny and the drainage pipes at no extra charge. We were very impressed and will definitely use them again.

Minor project (if you had a ladder that reached).

They were very good. They were prompt and professional. They showed up on-time and did the work in a timely manner. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

They came when they said they would, worked very hard to complete the job quickly and cleaned up their debris, They were professional, courteous and did a great job. Plus they gave credit for the Angie's list coupon.

The scheduling process at Patriot Roofing was totally professional and, as it turned out, speedy. The owner came out to our house the day after I called for an appointment and was right on time. He and an associate spent a good deal of time examining the roof and offered estimates both for repair and replacement. The owner also explained that he, not subcontractors, would do the work on the roof. I think we are likely to opt for the repair and to have Patriot Roofing do it.

The company was available and performed the service as agreed. They provided the estimate and were available to do the work as we needed it. They did a great job.

It was a very good experience. They were very professional, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. They came out exactly when they said the would. They charged me what they said they would, and the price was fair.

They never showed up for the initial visit to give me an estimate. Received a voice mail the next day saying that he drove by and saw another roofing contractor at my house. But that contractor left at least 20 minutes before Patriot was scheduled, so clearly the guy was early for the appointment. Not sure why I should take off work three different days to get 3 bids...

Got the estimate quickly, but had to call back to remind them to come back and do the work.

Throughout the entire process, Tom Heflin and his crew (Andre, Mark and Doug) went above and beyond. Once I negotiated the price and picked Patriot from four bidders, they scheduled the job very quickly and showed up on time. The crew worked hard and put in long hours to finish the job. The whole way, they were friendly and helpful, explained everything they were doing, and did, what looks to me, like an outstanding job. Roofing is a messy business, but they cleaned up after themselves very well, and took some much appreciated extra steps to keep debris off my back deck and patio furniture. Patriot was flexible and responsive to my input and requests. All in all, a very positive experience for my wife and me. It hasn't rained since the new roof went on, so if I have any problems I will report back to Angie's List, but because he did everything he said he would before getting the job, I believe Tom when he says that he will promptly fix any problems that might show up.

They were very responsive and prompt. As far as we can tell we think they did a very good job with the inspection. We haven't decided if we are going to use them or not.

Every aspect with them was very good. Communication was great. Very professional. I contracted them about the leak on the side of the house. I'm still in the process of needed follow up work.

I found them on the List. I called and left a message. Got a call-back within 10 minutes. Since they were working a job in the neighborhood (I did not know this at the time), they came by within an hour and left an estimate. (I wasn't home at the time.) I called the next day and agreed to the job. They finished the work that same afternoon. I rated the quality of the work as "N/A" because we haven't had a significant rain in the 2 weeks since the job was done.
