Royal Virginia Granite

The countertops were cut and delivered when we discovered that the edges were not what I had ordered. They were cut in a bullnose style, and I had asked for square cut edges. The owner asked if I would accept the countertops with the bullnose edge at a reduced rate, but I just didn't like it, so I declined. To the company's great credit, they re-did the countertops and showed up THE NEXT DAY to install them. I was very impressed at their ability to recover so quickly from an error. We all know that mistakes happen, and this company's willingness to do the right thing so quickly was impressive.

Made an appointment with the manager and visited with him on several occasions to decide which material would be used and to set a date for installation. On the day of installation, the workers called to inform us they were running late, they stated that they would be an hour late, and then another hour goes by, no workers. No call back. Had to run an errand and would be back within a half hour,once we got back to our house we found that the materials and equipment were left outside. They rescheduled two days later. Came in and got the job done, they had explained that we could not use the sink for 24 hours. After the 24 hours were up we started to use the sink. We noticed that the caulking or adhesive to keep the sink attached to the granite was dissolving, also where the backsplash meets the granite the mortar began to crack. All within two days of the finished job. We left a message on the weekend and got a call back that following Monday, after playing phone tag for a few days we were able to schedule a repair appointment. Finally a week after the installation we were able to get someone from the company to come out and fix the problem. This time we waited 48 hours until we used the sink. The final product looks great at a good price, it was just was a lot of work to get it all done.
