+ 4 moreAn excellent experience! I called on Tuesday and was put on wait list for Wednesday afternoon. They called me late Wednesday morning and said the technician would at my home in an hour. Paul, the technician, arrived on time and had me review my list which had doubled overnight. He went right to work and fixed them all. He did a fine job on each task, and took pride in his work. I would certainly use them again. TIP: Make sure your list of all tasks is ready when the technician arrives and that you have necessary parts available. It saves you time and money.
Description of Work: He trimmed two sticky doors and shimmed a third one. He replaced a light fixture and secured the railings on two stairwells. He re-installed a trash can holder in a kitchen cabinet, and adjusted the dishwasher so it was properly positioned in the cabinet.

+ 4 moreWent great! It rained and then they rescheduled me quickly. The gentlemen came and performed the services as I ran to Lowe's to grab the materials needed. I returned and he had moved quickly to remove the old outdoor lighting. He finished with my to do list in 2.5 hours and I was very happy with the work, and I'm a bit of a perfectionist.
Description of Work: Finished assembling and installed new mailbox, and replaced all of our outdoor lighting fixtures.

+ 6 moreAll work done was excellent. The peg-board installation was top-notch and my garage now looks organized and cleaned-up. The underneath of my back deck roof looks brand new. My hot tub is now moved and accessible for repairs to be made. Miscellaneous "smallish things" that have needed doing since I first moved in 10 years ago are now done. Karl was my guys all three (3) days. (He was excellent. In fact, I requested him 'by name' after day 1.) While I could have looked elsewhere and likely saved money (Mr. Handyman is not cheap), it was a matter of "you get what you pay for" and it was definitely money well spent. I would recommend Mr. Handyman to others and will definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Three (3) full days of projects completed. Hung peg-board on my garage (so I could clean-up and organize), removed some deck panels and hot tub access panel (in preparation of repairs), disconnected electrical power cable to hot tub, checked and added HVAC air carrier (pipe) suspension straps in crawl space, put drain tray under sprinkler system components in crawl space, inspected crawl space condition/plastic covering and tightened all sill-plate bolts, cleaned ceiling of large back-deck roof (white painted wood), painted small interior access door, removed 2 no-longer-used exterior hose bibs, replaced missing microwave oven (appliance) screw, moved wood beams and wood planks to back-deck (in preparation for moving and performing repair work on hot tub).

+ -1 moreI only interacted with the staff that was in the back office, I can't speak for the technician. I think the price they charged me for the type of work performed was absolutely unreasonable. I don't have an issue with the work they did, but I was absolutely overcharged. I just feel like I got ripped off. I have left them feedback about it.

Description of Work: Cut down a door that was too long, installed 2 ceiling fans, installed one light fixture, adjusted other light fixtures, touched up paint, installed hand held shower and walked house and helped with new home checklist and helped with list of ongoing maintenance requirements.

I went with him to buy what I needed because I had no idea what to buy before hand. It worked really well to get the right thing. I will definitely have him back because he did the work and did not mess around. it is a relief to have someone that will get the work completed.
Description of Work: He changed batteries in the smoke detectors, replace weather stripping on the front and kitchen doors, installed a new light fixture in the laundry room.

Description of Work: Chris (who can do ANYTHING!) purchased all the materials for every job so he would have what he needed. He dog proofed the backyard with a wire fence inside the split rail, built a workshop inside the garage with a door, lights, pegboard and a bench, re-configured and removed a wall from the upstairs playroom, surgically removed the knobs from the loft railings, put together a wall of complicated bookshelves, trimmed the garage windows with moldings and installed the blinds, etc.

+ 4 moreMr. Handyman arrived promplty, understood the problems, made suggestions, and explained every part of the cost. He fixed the problems immediately. He did a thorough job. He did not just focus on just a narrow band. He saw what needed to be addressed and left the area looking fabulous. My only regret is that this service is expensive.
Description of Work: I had serious problems with the upstairs shower. There was a slow water leak at the door, and the floor had rotted and tiles had fallen off the walls next to the shower. In the process of repairing the problem, the vinyl floor would have to be replaced.
