Communication was good. Work was done when scheduled. Process was explained, and work was completed satisfactorily.

I hesitated to write this review, because I don't want people to take advantage of this gentleman's helpful nature. However, I decided to write it, because I really want to share what a wonderful experience I had with him and I think in the end, it will benefit his business rather than hurt it. I called London Sweeps a couple weeks before Christmas of 2017. I had turned my gas pilot light off for the first time in four years, to save energy costs over the summer, and I could not get the flame to come back on. I had read numerous articles on troubleshooting and had watched several youtube videos. I took the dang thing apart, glass, logs and all, and tried to fix it myself. I sprayed compressed air into the pilot hole among other various tips I learned online. Nothing. When I called London Sweeps, the gentleman (I refer to him as "the gentleman" because I've lost my notes with his name) answered, but informed me he was on a job and with a customer and would call me back. He did as he said, and when I explained my problem to him, he told me he was so busy that he wouldn't be able to get out to my house until after the holidays. I told him I had hoped to have the fireplace working for Christmas gatherings, but I understood and would accept his earliest appointment. He so kindly offered to try to walk me through the problem on the phone and picked a day and time that would work for the both of us. I called several days later, on the agreed upon time, and the gentleman took my call as promised, even though he was at another customer's home. He spent 25 patient minutes with me, walking me through many steps and troubleshooting. He never once gave up and tried to end the call or acted impatient. In the end, he solved my problem and my fireplace came on. He was very knowledgeable and didn't ask for a penny from me for his time. Again, I don't want to encourage people using his services for free, by sharing this, but he absolutely came across as an honest, upstanding guy who knew his business.

The work was great and a great price. We did have some issues with one appointment being missed in his calendar, but he made up for it.

Very well. They covered the hearth and our rugs all the way to the front door to protect the flooring when they rolled their equipment in. They arrived when they said they would. They cleaned all the ceramic logs in our glass fireplace, and re-stacked them. They tested to be sure that the gas fireplace would light and function properly. We would definitely use them again.

They took their time and did a great job.

Eric Blackwell arrived promptly to repair base of chimney cosmetically using PVC board. We discussed only PVC board and how he was going to proceed to accomplish the work. He quoted repair price of $450.00. He left my house to purchase material and supplies. He was gone for a short while and returned with wood boards (not PVC) and proceeded to cut and paint etc. I told him that I was disappointed that he purchased wood boards and not PVC as we had discussed and agreed. He became very belligerent, picked up all supplies and tools and left my backyard and home never to return.

The owner walked me through each step. He was very honest with pricing and made sure I received the $50 off for using Angies List.

The provider made time in a very tight schedule to check our chimney before the snow storm hit. We had just moved in and did not know if the fireplace was safe to use. With an extreme forecast and the potential to lose heat and power, we really needed to be able to use the fireplace. London Sweeps came the same day, made a minor repair to make the fireplace safe, and recommended a future cleaning. We were very appreciative of the prompt service and detailed advice on using the fireplace.

After talking with several chimney sweeps, and being frustrated with their very high prices for work that I suspected didn't need to be done, a friend recommended London. The 2 men from London were professional, thorough, honest, and efficient. I'll definitely recommend them to others and call them again! What I learned from this experience is there are several companies in the area that are in the business of selling chimney liners not the old fashioned inspection and cleaning. London is not trying to sell you something you don't need; rather, they are trained and enjoy maintaining what the chimneys you have.

Both gentlemen were on time and exceptionally polite. They were efficient, clean and easy going. Mr. Blackwell also gave me an estimate on waterproofing our brick home. We will be having them do this work also. I highly recommend this service for anyone with chimney/brick work.

I don't know if I would hire him again or look for a new chimney sweep. I was up-sold to a water seal and repair at the top of my chimney. I think pictures of the repair would be better next time rather than taking his word for it.

Eric Blackwell, the owner of London Sweeps, was on time, and was very professional with his tasks and with the homeowner. Upon completion, he spent 15 minutes explaining aspects of a chimney system, much of which I was unaware, such as what I may want to follow to reduce future creosote buildup. I would not hesitate contacting him next time cleaning is needed.

they were very thorough and very clean, we had no dust from the cleaning and our floor and walls were clean, they did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed chimney care done. It has been two years and we are still using our fireplace frequently without problems, after this season it is time to call them back and get them cleaned again....thank you.

Called the day before a big snow and asked if I could have our chimney inspected to make sure it was okay to use. Didn't really think I would get a response, but I did. They were able to come the next day. Eric Blackwell was professional, did a wonderful job and helped us with some tips on how best way to make a fire.

Eric fit me into his schedule although he was very busy. He and his helper were very prompt. Didn't leave a speck of dirt! He is very friendly. I felt completely comfortable with him in my home. If anything, he doesn't charge enough (he was much cheaper than 9 others I called). He's done this for 30 years, I believe. Highly recommended.

I have used this company for chimney cleaning for years. They provide professional CLEAN service and fair pricing. I was recently given a discount when me and my neighbor scheduled our chimney cleaning on the same day. Would definitely recommend.
