Things started well and our main contact at Jefco seemed knowledgeable and helpful. We had to push a little bit to move things along in the quoting stage. The real problem was in the execution. The sink was not mounted properly, there were small areas of damage on the stone pieces, and one piece of backsplash was clearly not cut properly and was about 3/8" too short. In addition, our oven was dragged across our wood floor causing damage. The seams of the stone were filled in with black silicone caulk becuase that's all the installer had available on the truck - it stuck out like a sore thumb against a light, multicolor stone. This is where the real "fun" started. We struggled to get response and action. When they finally came out to fix the sink mounting, they cracked the granite in front of and behind the sink. Rather than tell my wife and address the problem, they tried to cover it up. When she went to use the kitchen, it was obvious right away. Unfortunately, we had to get extremely tough with Jefco to make things right. To there credit, once they committed to making it right, they did so. It was just too many problems to repeat the experience again. The most frustrating part was that when we contacted them with an issue, our contact was already aware of it from the installers, but rather than proactively own up to it we had to call them on the carpet for them to take responsibility.
