Scott was incredible to work with from the first contact all the way until the payment. Response time from initial contact through scheduling was fantastic. Very professional and courteous and CLEAN!.... As soon as they entered our home just to look at the project they put a towel down on the floor to enter the home, put booties on their footwear!. My husband was home when the work was done and I assumed when I got home I would need to clean up after them or touch up paint on the walls.... but nothing - could not even tell they were there that day. Quality of work was very impressive he did not skip any steps or try to take the easiest path. Definitely recommend Scott and his team you will not be disappointed!

Scott and Kevin replaced and rerouted our 30 year old dryer duct from the 2nd floor to the outside. The process was expertly explained and all of our questions were addressed before work began. They were efficient, detail oriented and left the areas cleaner than when they started. Overall, they did a great job.

Scott was great. He gave me a very reasonable quote and was able to come out within 48 hours. He arrived exactly when he said he would, corrected the improper vent installation, inspected the duct work in the crawl space, and also cleaned the vent. He showed me before and after pictures and also took pictures under the house to explain how my dryer was vented. And all for an exceptionally reasonable price. I will definitely hire him again to do future vent cleaning and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Called Scott to come out and clean my dryer vent work because my dryer would cut off if I tried to dry too many loads back-to-back and it would take forever to dry one load . He told me that what I had was not to code and it was definitely a safety the way our vent was hooked up. We decided to have our vent system re-done so that it would go straight up through the roof to vent. I can say that the first load I dried went much faster. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend for cleaning or new venting.

Could not be happier with Scott. Arrived 5 minutes early and finished exactly when he said he would. And he left the laundry room spotless. Very, very impressed. And glad I did it when I did. I was so afraid it was going to catch fire every time I turned the dryer on.

Scott arrived on time and after a brief discussion of the problem (new dryer not working well) nailed the problem immediately. Even though my house is only a year old, and I have only lived in it 9 months, the venting system for the dryer was blocked outside my home. The builder, in their infinite wisdom, put a screen on the outside vent cover which filled up with lint, causing my dryer to struggle. Scott climbed up on the roof, removed the clog and the screen, then came back inside to continue cleaning the vent. All works as it should now. I will definitely recommend Scott to my neighbors and am going to put regular vent cleanings on my to do list!

Clean out of dryer vent done. Then as requested he vacuumed the lint trap of the machine because I did not have the proper tool.

The team was very responsive to my concerns and were patient as I tried to explain what was going on with my vents. They efficiently addressed and fixed my vents and were very generous. Great customer service. I appreciate their attitude as well as the cost of the service. I would definitely rely on them should there be another issue.

Arrived on-time and completed a difficult job (dryer vent runs along 15’ ceiling). Did a great job, worked carefully and was very nice.

This project went well. Scott analyzed the problem and returned a few days later to perform a complete replacement on a very old vent system not up to code. The project took a couple of hours and is now up to code and safe. He showed us pictures of the work in the crawl space. The result improved the dryer performance as well.

Scott is awesome, he understood my urgency after my NEW dryer not drying for one year and lent filled vents being a fire hazard. No one had cleaned the dryer vent in a few years and the vent on roof was improperly installed since 1999. I had a dryer vent cleaning in March 2018, obviously the contracted tech did nothing. Dryer Vent Safety is competent and knowledgeable. He is my go from now on.

Scott was professional and on-time for our appointment. He explained his approach and what he planned to do. He did a thorough job and informed us about our options as the work progressed. He cleaned all around my washer and dryer and left everything clean. I would highly recommend him and will use him for all our future vent cleaning jobs.

I purchased a new dryer with an indicator when the flow of air from the dryer was not sufficient. After 2 uses the indicator came on. I contacted Scott Broadway to inspect my venting in the crawl space. He showed me pictures of the vent that was sagging and not up to code. He recommended replacement of the vent system and applied the initial inspection fee to the replacement cost. He was prompt, professional, completed the job on time, cleaned up all of the space and even switched out some rubber hose on my washer as well. Scott worked around my work schedule and even chose to work on Saturday before a snow/ice storm. I highly recommend Scott. While the initial cost may seem high, I could not and would not have been able to do this myself and now it is set for the life of the house. Scott even gave me a refrigerator magnet with a date for follow-up inspection. One more thing I don't have to worry about in my house!

Would highly recommend Dryer Vent Safety to others after my recent experience. He arrived on time, introduced himself and gave me a brief rundown of what his visit was going to entail. He was very respectful of my floors/carpeting and walls as he carried his equipment through the house. I was very pleased with his professionalism throughout the service, as well as his attention to detail as he showed me before & after photos of my vents and explained exactly what he did. Friendly guy.

The service we received was excellent. Scott left our home cleaner than before! We had our dryer vent cleaned from the outside vent all the way in to the dryer connection. We did not have the proper transition hose from the dryer to the vent, so we needed to get one installed that was up to code. We will certainly be calling back next year. I highly recommend.

Exceptionally well. Chris is very meticulous. He explained precisely what was wrong, and how he was going to fix it. He is also super clean covering and protect the floors from dirt or scratches. I have never had a contractor that was so caring about my understanding of the work performed, or how he left the home, clean and scratch free. Chris even sealed the existing crack in my cedar siding and painted it with left over paint I had. See the attached photos. Before I had a plastic outside vent and cheap flexible hose you get a big box stores. Now it's a metal 'flapper' and metal piping with just a very short metal flexible hose to my dryer.

Chris was very thorough before, during and after the job. He went out of his way to make sure my wife and I understood every aspect of what he found and what needed to be done to fix our issue, very professional. Before using him we looked at the reviews and saw he had an ”A” rating but did have one very negative review which caused us to pause, but after seeing that ALL the other reviews were A’s we knew that this must be abnormal so decided to use him. We are so glad we did, he was so careful and meticulous with everything he did while at our house. He was careful to protect everything and made sure we were satisfied with what he had done before leaving. We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice to use Chris. We highly recommend him and wish more service people were this good.

We paid 75 dollars to get measurements and to get an estimate. We went on vacation and called back a month and a half later to get the job done. We had to forward him the estimate because he forgot, and then he forgot the measurements and called repeatedly, which would have been fine if he didn't charge a 75 dollar fee to begin with. He came and did the job and we assumed that after installing the new dryer vent he would hook up the dryer. I guess he didn't realize that our dryer would not fit back into our closet with the new vent even though he claims to be an expert. So now we have a dryer sticking out of our closet, scratched wood floors, and a vent hooked up on the wall with tape on the bottom after paying over 600 dollars. We now have to have someone come and fix it in order to fit our dryer.

Excellent work and very educational

Chris did an outstanding job. My dryer was almost 100% blocked. Very professional and knows all the codes for the Richmond area and ended up correcting my vent to try to meet code. He has specialized tools to get the job done even with multiple elbow joints in the vent path. I highly recommend him.
