COMMONWEALTH HOME INSPECTIONS

This was the second inspection that Garnett performed for me, and he did a great job on both. He is very honest and professional. He even went the extra mile and used the infrared sensor to look into the walls for mold, etc. This wasn't included in the report, obviously, because I had not paid for the service, but it was nice to have the peace of mind that he didn't see any problems. His inspection comes with a large, helpful guide for new homeowners, which I did not expect. He even gave me a discount as a return customer which I was not even aware of. Also, he has been very prompt and helpful with any questions/concerns that I have had since the inspections. I really feel that I got more than I paid for. Great job!

Garnett arrived on time at 10:00 am. He began with the necessary paperwork and asked questions about the house that he needed to know upfront before beginning the inspection. I believe the house was larger than he expected because he had another scheduled appointment at 12:30, which he left for and then came back at 3:00 to complete ours. He took lots of pictures for his report. I never saw him write anything down so when we got the report we found it very interesting. It was detailed, but the descriptions were of concern, because we might have been able to explain some of the details he listed. He had some incorrect information in the report that if he had asked, I could have shown him such as we do have a carbon monoxide unit, but apparently not one that was wired to the house so he said in his report there was no carbon monoxide unit. Also, our chimney is lined and he did not acknowledge that. It took longer to get the report than advertised, but it was thorough.
