He then threatened that if we didn’t take it we would have to settle for a lot less. Although the house eventually sold the whole process caused us a lot of stress

Description of Work: They assisted in the marketing and sake of our home. We put it on the market and took it of in preparation to move. Once we put it on the market again we had an offer in one week. They negotiated all the terms very well and managed last minute unforeseen issues with great skill.

+ -1 moreWe met Cabell while looking on our own for a house to buy after relocating to Richmond. We had met a few other realtors but Cabell stood out by being friendly, knowledgeable and patient. We decided to work with him and met with him many times over a 3 month period until we found just the right property. On one occasion, his office manager, Wendy actually took us on our tours. That happened to be the day we found the property we were ultimately going to buy. Wendy and Cabell are a great team. Wendy assisted us with negotiating the purchase price, and Cabell assisted us with the home inspection. We realize now that the easy part is finding the right property. The hard part is negotiating with the seller around not only the price, but things you discover during inspection. Cabell and Wendy are great at negotiation and this is where you can really tell they have years of experience. We learned along the way that Cabell Childress is one of the top agents for Long and Foster, yet we always felt like we were his number one client.
Description of Work: We worked with Cabell Childress to find and ultimately purchase a home in Richmond. He showed us homes in both Henrico and in Chesterfield and we ultimately purchased a property in Brandermill in Chesterfield county. Cabell and his officer manager Wendy helped us through every step of the process from finding the property, to negotiating the price and the inspection issues to closing. We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or sell a property in the Richmond area.
