Waterworks Irrigation Services

Recently purchased house and requested seller to have irrigation system winterized which he arranged to have done by Waterworks Irrigation Services and a receipt for the work was provided to me. After moving in, I discovered that the intake preventer had not been removed to prevent it from freezing and cracking during the cold winter months. I tried to contact Waterworks regarding this concern and left numerous voice mails, however, never received a call back. Unfortunately, with our last overnight freezing temperatures the intake preventer has cracked and will need to be replaced for approximately $500! In addition, when I found another company to come out, it was also discovered that the water valves were also not properly turned off.

When I called them for the service they told me they would order the parts and then call me to schedule the actual work. They were coming the 23rd of July after parts had arrived. At that time they never mention that I must have the check at the time of their arrival. I thought they would give me a bill and I would mail the check. After work was completed the technician gave me the receipt and asked for the check. After telling him that I didn't have the check because I wasn't told that I needed to give it to him after repairs he got very upset and was shouting at the top of his lungs. After this the technician asked me when he can receive it and I told him that its in the apartment where I'm staying at since my house was burnt. I asked him that when I give the check that I want his owner to be there with him so I can give it to him directly which the technician agreed. When giving the check to the owner on the 27th of July and explaining the situation with the technician I thought he was going to apologize and said there was some miscommunication but the owner was completely supporting the technician on this and was shouting at me also. I felt very bad and frustrated so I gave them the check and that was it. Normally I don't put any complaint like this, I'm not like that but it's my moral responsibility to do it now to protect other consumers from their behavior in the future.

They are a joke. I think what they did to us when they turned the thing back on in spring that year and told me my brass fitting was split and told me it was because of condensation caused by the changes in the weather, that was a big fat lie. They made 180 dollars off of that and I thought that was a total ripoff. I asked all kinds of people, friends and people in my neighborhood but no one had ever had of that happening and it didn't happen to anybody else on my street. I find it odd that I was with Creative Irrigation since 2003 and I never ever had a problem like that. They charged us for something that I found out after the fact it was because the line was not bled correctly and that was their fault not ours. That is why you have a professional turn it on and off and so obviously it wasn't done right so he has us pay for his screw up. The price was right but you got what you paid for. All we ever heard was rattling and banging every time they turned it on which probably caused that water line to split. They set up an appointment, they come and do it and then they leave. I won't recommend them. I would have had them give my money back because it was not our problem. I never even called them when I found out we had this water leak. I found out about the leak when the water bill came in, it was such a large amount. The water company came out here and told us there was a leak in the line.
