They were fine, average professionalism and responsiveness, expensive pricing.

Didn't go well, had a small dishwasher leak in the last week... which puddled up on my basement carpet below. The Stanley Steemer manager decided they wouldn't touch it in fears of mold? It's from a de-engergized dishwasher with no hope of supplying moisture to the spot to support mold growth, plus freshwater only... so no bacteria or any other considerations, not even soil - but they refused to touch the room. My customer service booking also had errors about what I wanted done, so really nothing about this appointment went well. I had heard they had a water abatement service for cracked pipes, I figured I'd call them in the future if ever needed - but if they're not willing to touch a simple dishwasher leak spot of about 2 ft in diameter... how could I possibly trust them with much bigger levels of damage mitigation? Glad I found out now, what the organizational challenges were before I had a much bigger problem and trusting them blindly... planning to move on to another cleaning company.

Mostly good. Luna told us to use Stanley Steamer because of the warranty.

The service was very good, terrific and pretty good.

They are very thorough and very professional. They take their time, move my furniture and clean up after themselves. I would highly recommend them.

Generally well. Most of the floor was clean. Stubborn dirt on some grout that appeared to be gone when the floor was wet turned out still to be there once the floor dried. I think it was ground-in dough from a baking session. Given that, I was glad I did not have the grout sealed. I was annoyed that the lead technician, in discussing grout sealing, tried hard and insistently to persuade me that the grout was originally light-colored instead of the dark color I had selected and know to have been used. My wife and I chose everything in this kitchen when we redid it.

I primarily use Stanley Steamer because they have deals and they provide good service. I have checked with other carpet cleaners. The ones I have checked with they're a lot of times more expensive. I think their prices are very competitive. The quality is always good. They are very responsive. I'm thinking about calling them tomorrow, they have a special going on.

I would give them an "A" across the board. I would use them again.

They gave me a military discount. They were very good and fixed what another company did.

I have not had any problems with them. They get Bs across the board. They are timely, professional. They show up on time.

They were on time and they did a good job. We were pretty happy with them. They seemed to clean everything that we asked. We tried other companies, but they never seem as good. The other prices advertise lower prices, but you get what you paid for.

They stink. They could have cleaned the carpets.

The best part of the service was they arrived at 11am when I was originally scheduled with a 12-6pm appointment window. At start, the lead tech reviewed my cleaning requests with me and he then recommended additional deodorizing options. I only opted for one additional cleaning item and the two techs proceeded to start. They attempted to use the front water spigot on my property and I had to cut the water on from the inside as water was shut off on the outside. Once this was done, water flooded through the front side of house through the garage and into the storage room on the interior. It was clear there was a pipe burst. Despite having this plumbing issue, it would not have been discovered immediately unless I didn't have someone come out to clean these carpets. The front spigot was shut off immediately. The techs then decided to use the rear water spigot instead to hook up water. The lead tech began cleaning the sofa and chair first. The steam was everywhere and I asked them to protect my hardwood floors but I had to clean up after them. I didn't feel that the cleaning of my furniture was thorough at all and I definitely would not use Stanley Steemer for this type of service again. They moved onto the stairs leading to the basement. This was good as most of the stains were removed on the steps. Lastly they cleaned the basement carpet. The basement was okay but they could not get out the only stain down there. When they were about to leave, the lead tech advised me that his printer was not working and I would get a receipt for my credit card payment via email that day. That was a lie. I called Stanley Steemer three times to inquire about my receipt. On the last call I made, I spoke with the Manager at the Gainesville location and he advised I'd receive it within the next 5 minutes. That was a lie. I finally received an invoice for services the next morning....an invoice! I've still not received a RECEIPT for services and payment processed. This was my first experience with Stanley Steemer and I do not believe this location is a good brand ambassador for this firm. In my opinion, the techs could have shown more pride in their work and provided better care. After they left, my rear bibb shutoff was leaking and I had to shut if off myself. Good thing I checked. I will not use there service again.

I've used Stanley Steemer before, in multiple states. I've used this particular location at least three times before this visit and was satisfied. However, my experience on January 31, 2015 was, by far, the WORST experience I've ever had with this company. We had a morning appointment, between 8-9 on Saturday. The crew showed up around 8:30. The first gentlemen was nice and kind. The second, however, just came barreling through the front door without introducing himself. Fine, it's Saturday morning - I get it. I showed them what needed to be done - family room, basement rec room, staircase, and upper hallway. That was it. Immediately, the second guy starts trying to sell additional services to me. I said, no - just do the job that we signed up for. It's what was done last time and it worked out well. This guy starts pointing out problems with my carpet, still attempting to upsell me in additional services. Again, I said no, the carpets cleaned well last time and that was that. As they're cleaning the carpets, I'm mopping my hardwood. The guy follows me into my dining room - "You know, ma'am, we can also clean this for you so that you don't have to do it." I think I may have chuckled a bit and again, I said no, just clean the carpets, that I was almost done mopping anyway. He continues to press and I finally snapped a bit and reiterated my no. He goes back down stairs and starts cleaning with his partner. Within minutes, the guy shows up again and, at this point, is harassing me to do this additional treatment. So I humor him and ask him how much it's all going to cost. (Mind you, my online quote was for under $200.) He spits out that it's going to be around $400 and I started laughing and said, "NO. Just do the job that we asked you to do online." At this point, he starts negotiating - a discount here, it'll be $350. I'm turning him down. Finally, he says that he'll do one of the additional services for free out of the kindness of his heart, and that the total would be around $230. I conceded. About an hour later, he pulls up the bill. My husband cut the check at this point. Once they left, I took a look at the receipt - $323.75. No discount applied, nothing was done "for free". I was furious. First off, not because of the whole "no free service" thing - but because the guy not only harassed us, but he also lied. Not only that, but once I added the actual numbers on the receipt - the grand total should have been around $280, even without those discounts. How is there $40 dollar discrepancy?! I even went back online to run a dummy quote with what was on the receipt - none of it added up to the total that we paid. So I called my bank, cancelled the check. I called the main office, but I had no luck getting through. Left a voicemail, no call back. The next day, I tried calling again and left another voicemail. Nothing. Stanley Steemer has not called back and according to my bank, there hasn't been an attempt to deposit the check, so who knows just what the h*** happened. But either way, I will NEVER use this company again. While my previous experiences with them were good, this one visit with them was enough to infuriate me and turn me completely off. I have the name of the individual, so if anybody here wishes to use Stanley Steemer, please contact me so that I can tell you who NOT to request. As for the carpets themselves - they smelled HORRIBLE. I don't know what kind of treatment this guy used, but I NEVER had my carpets smell like that in my previous service calls.

The workers were punctual, efficient and cordial. The price was cheap but will come out expensive in the end. In my opinion the carpet smelled worse and was dirtier after the cleaning. I think the problem is that 'steam cleaning' is a hot water extraction process. The carpet will only get as clean as the water they use. That means if they reuse water from a previous house the cleanest your carpets can be is the concentration of dirt/grime in the stored water. I used my spot-bot carpet cleaner in a small un-trafficked area. The water it removed was extremely dirty indicating the carpet was dirty. If you hire them make sure you are first on the list for the day. Update: I've updated the review to increase the rating. After airing out for a few weeks any residual smell has gone.

This went amazingly well! The very courteous team arrived on time, quickly hooked up equipment, and proceeded to steam clean the carpet, removing a couple of small stains in the process, one of which I thought couldn't be removed. Since they knew what they were doing, they weren't here long, about a half hour. The carpet's three years old but look brand new. I'm very, very pleased with the results and highly recommend this $99.00 special. (Even without a special I'd call Stanley Steemer again.)

Techs arrived on time and worked very quickly. Job was scheduled within one day. Great service.

I saw a coupon the the Stanley Steemer website for 2 rooms for $99. I only needed one room so I had them do one set of steps too. I called and they came out the same day. My window was 1 - 5 - they got here about about 1:30. They got the stains out of my carpet that my Bissell couldn't. They did an excellent job! I couldn't be happier!

I have used other businesses but I always keep back to Stanley Steemer. They are very professional and do the job right. They get the carpets clean properly.

The customer service was excellent from start to finish. I was very impressed with the representative that spoke with me, by phone, when I initially asked for a quote. They not only were very informative, but they also e-mailed me the quote that we spoke about during the call. A couple of days prior to appt, we received a reminder of our set appt. The day of the carpet/floor cleaning, Stanley steemer called to let us know that they were on their way. As promised, they were very punctual and polite when they arrived at the door. They did an outstanding job on the carpets and wood floors! They were very professional and the cost of the service was the same as the quote that they initially gave me. (No hidden costs!) I will definitely use them again and recommend them to family and friends!!! Following cleaning service, Stanley Steemer called once again to make sure that I was happy with the way my carpets and wood floors looked. Great job Stanley Steemer!

They showed up late. The carpets themselves look fine, but they said that they knocked a vent off of the wall in our upstairs hallway (which was not being cleaned) and said that they could not get it put back in the wall. They left the screws everywhere and then at that point they tried to upsell me to also get my air ducts cleaned. They even brought along the air-duct cleaning machine with them, even though that was not on my scheduled appointment. The screws were stripped so they could not even put it back on.

I was not happy with them; I didn’t like them at all, they did a terrible job. The two guys that came out here, I had explained to them ahead of time that there was no outside faucet for them to use; I live in a third floor walk-up in a condo. So I asked them if they could use the water from my house and they said yes, but when they got here they decided that they couldn’t, so they had to go like three buildings over and get a bunch of extra hoses and things to connect to an outside faucet down the street, and then it took them forever to bring enough hoses upstairs to do the vacuuming. They didn’t move through all the furniture, they didn’t do everything that I asked them to do, and I told them I had some spots, which was the main reason why I was having the carpets done. They asked me if I had tried to clean the spots and I said yes and they said that whatever I had used had optical brighteners in it and that the spots would now never go away and the carpet would always look like that. So I went out and bought my own steam carpet cleaner and cleaned all my rugs all over again, and they were still filthy, and everything that was a problem cleaned right up. They were in and out in an hour. The quality of their work was very poor. I would never have them again.

Luis and Phil were not only extremely professional, knowledgeable and courteous, but they were just plain nice. They were prompt, wore their little booties at all times, and they were in and out quickly. They thoroughly cleaned all the areas I requested, paying particular attention to pet stains, which I was particularly worried about. They were helpful, informative, and even recommended some good tips on dealing with the pet stains in the future, how to clean things myself between visits, etc. They also said that if what they cleaned doesn't turn out as clean as I had hoped (particularly the pet stains), that they'd come give it a second treatment at no charge. They were just fantastic. They even made friends with one of my cats and complimented some photography I had on the walls. I'd absolutely call this team in particular back for another round.
