(Original Review: September 2016) We hired ProEdge to build a knee-wall, build a full wall, install French doors, and tile a powder room and laundry room. The work they performed was outstanding and was done on time. JR, Charles, and their team were friendly, professional, knowledgeable -- outstanding overall. The pricing was very reasonable and they were able to adjust quickly as we tweaked some of our original requests. In summary, ProEdge is an exemplary company both from a quality-of-work and customer service perspective. While I typically do most of the home improvement work myself, ProEdge's performance will make me think twice in the future. They come with my highest recommendation. UPDATE (May 2017): We contracted ProEdge to renovate our bathroom. The renovation included removing and replacing all tile and underlayment, waterproofing the shower, and building a tile base for the shower where a fiberglass base was previously. Throughout the project I mentioned concerns to our project manager regarding the methods they were using as well as the procedures that were not done to code including: - Soak test - Punctured liner - Floor slope The project manager assured me they always construct showers in this manner without issue, so these issues would not present a problem. Unfortunately, upon finishing, there were multiple problems both aesthetically: - Tile lippage - Very rough/imprecise cuts - Inconsistent grout lines - Cracked grout - Unaligned tiles and functionally: - Improper mortar coverage - Lack of water-proofing on the walls (in breach of contract) - Incorrectly sloped shelves, tiles, and threshold Most notably and importantly, the shower leaked badly and ruined a portion of the ceiling on the floor below. Unfortunately, the solution from the crew was to add additional caulking to the base. Until the shower leaked, our concerns were largely dismissed. After the shower leaked, JR agreed to fix it, but was unable and unfamiliar with building showers in a manner consistent with VA State Residential Building and Plumbing codes. We were not willing to have the shower re-built in the same manner without pulling permits and having an inspection, so JR offered us a partial refund of materials and labor. The value of the partial refund was very fair/appropriate relative to the total project cost. JR and the project manager were both out of town when we reached out as well as for the duration of this dispute. All communication occurred over the course of ~30 E-Mails -- regrettably we were unable to discuss this in person or on the phone. Separately, the tile work we noted in the initial review has deteriorated greatly after 1 year and will need to be replaced shortly. We decided to reduce our rating from 5 to 2 stars for the above reasons. In summary, we still recommend ProEdge for drywall and painting, but we highly discourage using them for tile/bathroom renovation.

The job went extremely well. We were in a crunch to get it completed before our Household goods were delivered. Joseph was excellent about working with me in my expedited time frame. The crew were neat, diligent, detail oriented, and honest. I was comfortable having them work in my home. The supervision of the crew and oversight of the work/job was also excellent. They did a great job with all the painting! I would definitely hire them again!! I especially liked the complimentary design consultation provided by Pro Edge Painting. It allowed me to get help and advice picking paint colors from a design professional. She met me at my house, could assess the natural lighting, asked about my color preferences, color of current furnishings (house was empty at the time), and gave me advice on selecting carpet color from the samples I had narrowed down. Within a short time frame we had colors selected for all the rooms, and I could not have been happier with the results! On my own, I would have been back and forth to the paint store, painting samples on the wall many times before deciding, and still would not have achieved the current look. The advice from someone who has worked with the paint colors before and could describe the look and effect that I was unable to glean from a paint chip sample was invaluable!

Overall, I think ProEdge did an excellent job. I manage another property in Fairfax and have used ProEdge to get that property i shape. There were no unexpected costs or change orders for this project. The crew was timely and very courteous.

They did an excellent job, were very responsive and came back to fix one item that was missed without any hassle. I really appreciated the quality of the work and the clean up and many of my neighbors have commented on how great the house looks. He also gave me a discount because I am a teacher. I highly recommend them!

Perfect! They were very meticulous with all the cutting around corners, they were professional and prompt. We have used them twice. I would definitely recommend them.

JR was very quick in responding with a personalized visit to our home. JR was very professional and knowledgeable as we went over each area of concern. Also very prompt with a detailed description and cost for the repairs and work that would be completed on our property. I couldn't have asked for a better crew and foreman to show up, they were on time, checked in prior to starting and the foreman, Brayan followed up with an e-mail explaining what had been completed and what they would be doing the following day. While the crew was out working, we also had a front door replaced by another company. After they discovered major issues, they were not allowed to install our door. Fortunate for us, Pro-Edge was at our property and their master carpenter Juan was here as well. A simple phone call to JR and Brayan was out at our home, pulling Juan aside to remove our double door, door jam and sheetrock. This was a huge undertaking as door jam, all of the wood 2x4's surrounding the door, sheetrock and insulation had to be removed, replaced and painted. Juan was incredible, such a master at carpentry and sheetrock... he is not only a very hard worker but is extremely detailed, I now have a brand new door frame for our new door and a 20 foot wall repair that turned out perfect! We are so thankful for the crews hard work and dedication to completing the project, for jumping in at a time of crisis and all the follow-up and attention to detail. We are going to have our home painted within the next week and look forward to another positive encounter with Pro-Edge.

JR was great. Very professional. He was on top of the job from start to finish. His crew covered all surfaces, sanded down areas that needed it, and when we asked about one of the walls not being perfect he had his guys do it again. He is an honest guy and would recommend to everyone. I know I will use him for any job in my house, my family, or my business. Thanks JR!

Very well. Good crew and supervision. Estimate was thorough and completed as planned. Painters came to my house on a Sunday when work was well underway because of rain forecast on Monday.

Great job! We called them for items on a home inspection list while selling our house in Gainesville. From first contact, for the estimate and during the work being completed JR, Jeremy & the ProEdge crew did a great job - on time and on budget ... We have moved and are using them again on the new place for interior, drywall, wallpaper removal & painting jobs!

I was very pleased with the job, simply because when I noticed that I required some touchups they were like Johnny on the spot and got it done immediately.

Jeremy came out to quote the job and truly understood what needed to be done. The painters arrive on time and did an EXCELLENT job. The condo looked so good I started to question why I wanted to sell it! The condo sold in 7 days on the market and I know the great job that Pro-Edge was a contributing factor. I'll be using them again soon on another property.

It went really well. He did a great job, or prompt and efficient, and when it got down to the punch list, they were happy to fine-tune the whole job so that it was gorgeous.

Excellent quality done on time. Showed up early and stayed late when needed. Crew worked non stop not even taking time for lunch. Very responsive to any criticism or problems.

They did a wonderful job. All of our projects combined took a total of 4 days and the crew was punctual, polite, tidy and extremely hard working. We were totally pleased with the work done and even added on a few small jobs to ensure our whole exterior looked newly painted and polished - they were happy to provide us quotes on the new services and completed them immediately. Our house looks clean and beautiful and we felt the crew went the extra mile to ensure it looked great! Lastly, we loved getting daily email updates from the project manager - while we could obviously see the progress st our house, it was nice to get word of the next day's plan and to know that management was tracking the crew's progress.

Paint went very well. Took 3 days, a half day longer than expected. Came back for no charge to touch up a couple days later after we lived in it and noticed small issues. Very happy.

JR responded quickly to our request for an estimate. After looking at the damage, he submitted a work proposal the same evening & the work started shortly after. The 2-man crew arrived promptly & began covering the marble floor/banisters etc. taking care not to damage anything. Brayan, the field supervisor arrived mid morning to check the progress. After completing the dry wall repairs (it blends seamlessly with the exsiting ceiling) they began painting the entire ceiling. Once the work was complete, they cleaned the dust/debris from stairs, banisters & floors. Everyone was very professional & skilled tradesmen. Both JR & Brayan followed up with calls to make sure we were pleased with the work.
