You might wonder why I'm leaving feedback if he did not, in fact, do any work. I've never left feedback on a contractor who didn't do work before, but I thought this time I should. This is a unique situation and I think other people in the area need to be warned. Long story short, Mark insisted that I put in four 5-ton zones, would not hear of any other options, made wild accusations that I was and quot;stealing details to use with someone elseand quot; and gave me a ludicrous price. Page County and the surrounding areas tends to have its share of rough personalities to deal with, but Mark's attitude really was unique. To even my smallest questions, he would get abrasive and start accusing me of taking his work to other trades. I asked about the physics of his zone design, since it was different than every other trade (and massively over sized), and again he refused to elaborate. The pricing was also outrageously high, not just noncompetitive but flat out absurd. The other 7 quotes were in the 35-40k range. His was 55k and he refused to elaborate. Again, I don't usually leave negative feedback on contractors, especially when they didn't do any work, but this guy was particularly frustrating. I did leave an 'A' rating for him in the punctuality and responsiveness columns - he did respond right away when called. Of course, every tradesmen on the planet responds quickly when doing quotes. It's after (or while) they're doing the work when you have problems reaching them. :-)

This service actually cost less than the approximate cost listed above; I cannot remember the specifics of that. I'm surprised at the low grade on this website because we were thrilled with Twin Air and have since recommended them to many others. Mark and his assistant installed the HVAC in our home on a very hot day in June. He is not afraid of hard work (or sweltering heat). He came over for a consultation and gave us a couple options on installing the HVAC system. We weren't able to pay for it until about a year later, so he wrote up a price quote based on what we had already discussed without having to come out again. Within a few months of having the HVAC installed, we had a problem with it, and he came out to fix it on short notice. It turned out a part wasn't working properly and he replaced it for us (it was under warranty, so there was no charge to us). He is professional and polite, and as I said, we have recommended him to others who have used his services and were satisfied. If we ever need this type of service again I would not call anyone other than Mark.

The job is almost finished but so far the work has been poor. Our hands are tied because we do not own the house yet so the contractors tend to treat us as if our concerns are not worthy. Long story short we brought in another contractor(authorized dealer of equipment in question) to inspect and it looks like it will take 2000 to fix all of the undersized duct work installed. The work has been very sloppy and we do not recommend them.
