Timber Works Tree Care

From when Jack the owner came to our home to give us a quote, to Joe at the office who coordinated things efficiently, to the whole team who came out and did a solid, clean, safe, and thorough job removing trees and stumps, I was completely satisfied with my experience. The whole company worked with me to arrive at a fair bid as well as handle specifics for our needs for the tree removal. When they were done, our property looked clean and was ready for use to use. I have recommended Timber Works already to friends and coworkers. Thank you for a great job!

I am so happy with the job Timber Works did at my farm. At the outset, Jack came to meet with my son and me to go over the work we needed done on about 1 1/2 acres, which included a hillside; and Ben and his crew carried it out wonderfully and completely, and I now have my beautiful view back!! They were so professional and polite and answered all my questions. I couldn't have asked for better results and want to give Timber Works the highest recommendation!!!

History: Prior to Timber Works, I tried 3 other tree services. One never showed up, one only worked about 2 hours per day (if they showed up), and the third told me on the day he was supposed to do the work that he had a bigger job and I would have to wait. I canceled that contract. This is the second time I have used Timber Works. About a year ago, I had appx 400 large pine trees removed and this time, several (about 15) large trees were removed, some widow makers and others overhanging the house. I cannot praise the owner and the crew enough. The owner, Jack, showed up right on time and gave me a quote on the spot with a follow up contract. The crew (no day workers here) showed up at the time scheduled and all are highly trained and professional. Even when removing the 400 pines, the crew was there every morning, worked through the day and never stopped till the job was completely finished. When I requested small changes or extras, the crew took care of the extras without any discussions about cost changes or having to "get permission". If you need any tree work, save a lot of head aches and go with Timber Works. With this highly professional crew, the work will be completed on time, the area cleaned and you will be satisfied with the entire experience.

They even got it done with 6 or more inches of snow on the ground, they were still on time, got work right away, and were done working quickly. They even cleaned up all the debris before packing up for the day.

Had 4 trees removed. Two of which were 50’ or so. The other two were in the 30’ range but in a challenging location behind and close to my large propane tank . The crew came in at 8am and were done by 9:45am. When they left my yard looked like they had never been there, clean, clean, clean! Timber Works is a professional and well orchestrated operation. I would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them. They are also doing milling of some of the trees to give me lumber for my woodworking projects 😁

They were incredible from start to finish! We had gotten 4 estimates for our work- some companies wouldn’t complete the work because of the proximity to power lines. Timber Works wasn’t the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. They had really great equipment for taking down the trees, grinding the stumps, and also for safety which was a relief! They were extremely professional, courteous, and cleaned up better than I had even hoped! They arrived on time, and were cleaned and gone within 3-4 hours. We really were amazed at how well it all went and would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone looking to have trees removed.

I only wish that every business we deal with were as well-managed and competent as Timber Works. They were pretty pricey for the removal of one tree but we had a number of other plantings around it that we cared about. The owner carefully assessed the job site and recommended how we could prepare for their trucks. Their office manager was superb in staying in touch with us regarding the timing of their work. Their team was excellent in working within very tight constraints to avoid damage to other delicate trees. Again, I just wish all businesses were this good.

Everything was great and they even stopped to let my son know that the umbrella on our deck had cracked through. That was already occurring but I appreciate their letting us know rather than just Leaving it. They did not, I’m sure break it, but so often that is the way people do handle things. Everything is neat and cleaned up and I was more than pleased with the professionalism. I definitely have the Minnesota frugal, and at first the price seemed high but they had a whole crew out here working nonstop all morning. I’m very pleased.

Excellent! A 5-man crew showed up on time and met with me to confirm all aspects of the job. They worked very hard for just under 5 straight hours in the heat 95-98F to complete the job. Very professional and thorough, especially in their area cleanup before leaving the job site. This will be my first choice for any future work on my property.

Last year I contacted an arborist to see why my pine needles were falling off my trees more than usual and he pointed out that many of my trees were dead/dying and that he knows someone who can help me with that. Subsequently I received a proposal that contained a diagram of 35 trees on my property from Jack of Timber Works for $25,000. I had him come out to go over it with me to see what would be the most urgent trees to address. He was not really interested in doing less than all the trees and said he could offer me a payment plan of 6 months to pay. Now since this price is a quarter of the price I paid for my entire house I am not sure how he thinks I would be able to come up with this kind of money in 6 months. I narrowed it down to a couple in front and a couple in back, but obtained other quotes. The other quotes were less but I liked Jack and wanted to give him some work so I split up the work so he would do the back ones which would be $3000 but he was not interested and did not want to do it and said he spent to much effort already coming out 2 times (the first reviewing the trees and the second going over the proposal with me). I would like to point out a couple positives however, that he has workers compensation (at least he did last year) where other tree companies normally do not have this because it is too expensive and they have a drug free workplace which you can imagine how difficult that would be working out of Front Royal.

The team provided 2 days of forestry mulching on my new property and did an excellent job. It would have taken me months to clear the same area by hand. Jack and the Timber Works team communicated very well and exceeded my expectations on the job site. I highly recommend them to anyone needing help with their land. As my build continues I will definitely be reaching out again.

I just had Timberworks come out and do some work, and I couldn't be happier that I chose them. Everything was spot on and professional: from my initial contact and scheduling with Joe, to my consultation with Jack, and then the awesome (and very quick) work done by Ben and his crew. I'll be using them again for sure.

Phenomenal difference, before/after. Jack (owner/operator) was prompt and accommodating to specific requests. Easy to schedule and pay online. Tremendous value!

The job went great... 10 trees right next to our house... friendly and knowledgeable staff and the job done was excellent, including the attention to detail, and clean-up of the work-site afterwards. Definitely would use again and highly recommend!

Timber works was very quick to respond and got us an estimate within 24 hours. The day we had the trees removed they were punctual and professional. They cleaned up everything and stacked the wood neatly. After seeing what a great job they did I asked about the price of having another stump removed. Even though they had already put away the machines, they didn’t hesitate to take care of the extra stump right away. I will definitely use this company again in the future.

Well. Good communication, arrived on time, polite, cooperative, professional, quick, very well equipped. I could have hired some eager, local, handy kid to do it for half the price but this team is insured, knows where to cut to avoid damaging the tree, and the kid still has his hands.

Couldn't have gone better. These guys are true professionals. The crew works all the time they're on the job - no standing around looking at phones. They all wear helmets with radios/headphones for safety and communication among themselves - never seen that before.
