My project was an extremely difficult whole-house wiring of a Plaster & Lathe 1910 Farmhouse with no electricity to begin with. Their initial quote was the most reasonable and my demanding timeline turned out to be no problem despite short notice and some of the hottest conditions Virginia has to offer Whether it was final payment, countless logistical curveballs, nearly impossible wiring paths and even some surprise add-ons required by the inspector, Mr. Electric stayed consistent and without surprises to the end. I cannot express enough gratitude for the work they performed and would absolutely recommend this company to anyone in search of a team who can perform electrical work at the highest level

+ -1 moreCalled let them know they were 30 minutes out and arrived on time of 2 hour window they provided. Very courteous, professional and got the job time in a very timely manner. Didn't leave any mess behind when they left and they always wore booties on their shoes to save from making a mess on the floor. Even took away old fixtures for me to throw away. Great company to deal with!! Provides a discount if you are an Advantage member with Air Serv.

Description of Work: My first contact with Mr. Electric was to wire my circuit breaker box so that I could run parts of the house from a generator without a lot of extension cords. They helped me choose what I needed, which was less than I had thought, and installed it professionally. Later, in a power emergency on a Friday night in extreme cold I had a problem and they talked me through it over the phone with no charge. We got to sleep in a warm house without paying for an unnecessary visit, which I really appreciate.

Description of Work: Called to have loose circuit to my stove checked as well as have 4 GFIs installed in a house I had just purchase. Also asked for a safety check of the entire place. |When they arrived they told me I needed a new panel. I asked for an estimate which I never received. They determined I could get by with a replacement of the circuit breaker for the stove for the short term |They swapped out the GFIs but didn't have the proper cover plate for one and said they'd order it and return to install it later. Hasn't happened as of this writing. They did not safety check the house as requested because the night after they left, the socket to the fridge went dead. I called and asked them to come back and look into the issue. I had to go out of town and left a key for them. They didn't call me back so I followed up with a call and was told they came by but couldn't determine why the plug was dead. I later determined there was a loose connection on another socket in that run and replaced that myself. In diagnosis the problem I also found I had 3 other plugs that were improperly wired producing open grounds. I rewired them to eliminate the problem. | I'm sorry to have to give such a harsh review because I know how hard it is to be a small businessman but time has revealed the shortcomings of the work Mr Electric did and failed to do for me. Wonder if they'll remember my cover plate they ordered for me and return to install it on the GFI they installed, that by the way isn't working. I'll let you know if they do.

+ -1 moreI called Melissa at noon on Monday and in no time they showed up at my door. Went through the house pretty thoroughly and that's when the 2 unseated breakers and several reversed outlets were found. Unfortunately, the circuit went out again that night. The problem didn't even trip a breaker! They came back the next day and that's when they found a loose outlet wire from a different circuit that was feeding electricity (or not feeding in this case) into the problem circuit. This is all my jargon not theirs and I'm relaying the problem here the best I can. The bottom line is they fixed the problem professionally, quickly, honestly and with good humor. I was concerned I was going to have to pay again, but as Melissa said, "we warranty our work." So thankfully, no I wasn't charged again! I won't hesistate calling Mr. Electric in Front Royal again.
Description of Work: I had an elusive short circuit and they found it and fixed it. Plus, in the process they found 2 unseated breakers and several reversed outlets.

Our only issue was they rescheduled our first appointment because they had an emergency they were handling for another customer, but they kept us updated and rescheduled the appointment promptly and did not leave us hanging. They were very professional and knowledgeable and I would definitely use them again.

+ 0 moreThey wear booties when they come in and they let you know about their credentials. They will do a survey of your home and let you know if you need electrical updates. They are very professional. They will attempt to send the same technician out each time you use them.

+ -1 moreIt went very, very well. They were great! It was excellent work. I think the prices may be a little steep. If you buy your own supplies, the price isn't as bad. They were there on time.
Description of Work: They did some rewiring of some of the light switches that weren't working, put up a chandelier, installed all of the knobs for our new doors, and they put up all of the outdoor spotlights.
