Dan, the owner, and his crew, arrived promptly to all meetings and scheduled work times. Dan was much more knowledgeable about hardwood flooring in comparison to other companies we interviewed. One challenge for our project was how to install the hardwood flooring around the irregular shape of our stone fireplace so that it would not look like an after-thought. The approaches recommended by the other contractors included quarter round shoe molding or installing a box frame in the flooring, but each of these approaches would not result in a clean look and involved filling in gaps with mortar. Dan suggested undercutting the stone fireplace so that the flooring would be installed underneath the stone. We thought that this was the best solution recommend and we are extremely happy with how this turned out - it was the perfect solution for us. Dan clearly communicated the process, timelines, costs, issues and what to expect in both both discussions and in writing. The contract was easy to understand and fair. Everything about H&H was top-notch, professional and quality. The craftsmanship was exquisite, the pace of work was impressive and the passion that the H&H team has for producing phenomenal, better-than-expected results was very evident. Clean up was meticulous. We had high expectations based on our dealings with H&H during our selection process and we were amazed at how much our new floors exceeded those expectations. H&H truly did excellent work and we are excited about contracting them for additional hardwood flooring projects in our home soon. Refinished all of our hardwood floors (2000 sq. ft) -- sanded and re-coated. You cannot go wrong with this firm --the quality of work is superb and worth the extra money!

These men were fantastic.  Polite, professional and very pleasant to work with.  The owner/manager, made sure I knew where he was at all times in case I needed to get into touch with him, when he went to buy the products for the floor. When he was gone, the remaining team of three men, continued to work on cleaning and sanding.  He worked to try out different stains on samples so we could agree on the exact stain that would blend in with existing hardwood flooring which did not need to be refinished.  If he had to go to another a job site, he always let me know and ensured that part of his team continued to work on my floors.
I thought that the sanding would create un-breathable air, but this company has state-of-the-art sanding/vacuum systems which virtually eliminate any dust particles.
The floors look wonderful and they took special care with an area that had been stained black due to cat residue.  The stain nearly disappeared and the tiny amount that remained looks like the knothole in the grain in that particular board!  I could not have been happier!  Thanks, guys! You rock!

Dan called me promptly after leaving message.  He came out to see the job and had an estimate for me within a couple days.
He knows wood (!) and gave me several options.  I went with his recommendation and I am so glad I did. The floors turned out GREAT!!!!
I would highly recommend using them, and I plan to have them back to finish some other floors when time & money allow.

After 7 years of traffic, the floors on the 1st floor of our home were showing a lot of wear and tear and we decided to have them refinished while on vacation.  The company was prompt in providing a reasonable estimate for the work (based on our research) and incredibly helpful in scheduling around our vacation plans and the pet sitter's schedule.  In the end, the floors were finished and look beautiful.  While everyone who works for this company seems really good at what they do, we have to call out Daniel Fier who is an exceptional manager and team leader.   Couldn't be happier with the work or with this company.

Prompt, courteous, excellent service in all respects.   Exceeded all expectations and Dan and his crew were simply a pleasure to work with.  Would recommend highly to anyone.  Have found no flaws in the entire execution process from presentation to departure.

Had 3 estimates.  H&H were in the middle.  Went with them b/c of their follow-up and quick communication.

We called H & H Hardwood for an estimate, spoke with Dan, who was punctual on arrival of appt date. After picking our color, we had a change of mind re: color so when we called to "change our mind", Dan very politely stated "no problem" and again visited us with samples. We had a date scheduled and we had medical problems come up and had to cancel. Dan's response was that health was more important than flooring, that really impressed us as caring individuals. We took up our own flooring but 1/2 of their first day on the job was prepping our floors, to fix squeaks/uneven flooring. They finished on the 2nd day, dust was to a minimum and each day they cleaned up when they left. After finishing, our floors were spotless, all we had to do was sit back and enjoy. Our flooring is beautiful, we are so pleased! This family owned business is totally professional, punctual and courteous and we will continue to highly recommend this company for hardwood flooring needs.

I cannot say enough good things about H&H Hardwood.  I dealt with Clint (one of the owners) and he was always responsive, always on top of things, on site during the entire process, and worked very hard to meet my time limitations.  It was a lot of floor to do and they even started earlier than they had initially told me because they had some free time and were in the area.  The floors are beautiful and I am so very happy with the entire process.  I would absolutely use them again!

I was absolutely amazed at the quality of the work which H&H Hardwood provided.  From the start, they were quick to respond with a price after our initial meeting; their cost was very competitive with other local hardwood companies.  H&H arrived at my home punctually and completed the work in the time frame that they initially stated.  The company also provided me with hardwood oak trim which was of the highest quality and priced substantially lower than the local lumber supplier.  I was very pleased with the quality of the final product and would unconditionally recommend this company to others looking for hardwood floor refinishing!

This company came highly recommended to me. I was very impressed and they were responsive, however, I went with a different company that a carpenter that I'm working with had recommended. H&H was also located far away from where I live. I gave their phone number to a client of mine who lives near them!

They have done 2 jobs for us now. We liked them so much on the first job that we called them back for this job too. They installed oak board flooring at tow separate properties. They were the only contractor that we could find no complaint with.

They did an excellent job, were very responsive and took great care of me. They were able to match the color of floors from one room to install matching flooring in another room. Overall, they did a great job and quality of service was top notch.

H&H has an incredible reputation in our area, and given the quality of their work on my house, it is easy to see why.  I had them install 5" Red Oak throughout our main living area and I truly couldn't be happier with their work.  They were incredibly punctual, friendly, and professional.  They had an extensive knowledge of hardwood and helped me through every facet of the process, from picking out the right wood for my home, to instructing me on how to properly care for the floor.  These guys really know their stuff!

We couldn't be happier with the entire project. They promptly came to provide an estimate and they were able to accomodate our schedule to begin installation within 3 weeks of receiving our downpayment. The company is family owned and much of their flooring comes from their family owned and operated mill in Pennsylvania. They arrived ontime every day and worked very hard to complete the job in one week. Their communication with us was great. They were very professional and considerate. We highly recommend them.
