 + -1 moreThe young men who did the work were very nice and knew what they were doing and the owner checked on their work several times to be sure. He also didn't charge me to move a cold air return to a different spot on the wall. I am very pleased with the work done and will recommend them to friends!
Description of Work: They did a great job and I would use them again. We got an entire new system- a hybrid propane/electric furnace and a new air conditioner.

 + -1 moreI can't speak to their true work but since they were going to charge us a lot we told them no. That's when we found out they were charging us $150.00.
Description of Work: We called them for an estimate on fixing our heatpump and they charged us $150.00. Their ad said free estimates. We called and they said since they took their tools out they "performed a service call". The man I talked to was very rude and short.

 + -1 moreOne of our heat pump units was not working. They determined that the coil was frozen. They turned it off and said they would return that afternoon after it was thawed. They did so. They serviced the air handler unit and added coolant to the heat pump unit. They also checked our second system to make sure it had enough coolant and was working properly. They were very polite and professional and I would use this business again.

Dand H gave me a clear and detailed estimate of exactly what I needed to upgrade my HVAC to a higher quality system at a reasonable cost. They did excellent work and the new system is working very well.
Description of Work: HVAC upgrade - installed a new heat pump, air handler, refrigerant line set, added two new supply ducts and an attic ventilation fan.

Description of Work: I have used D&H Heating twice now. The first time was in my home when I had a leak at the base of my heat pump. Alex and Lenny showed up on time, diagnosed the problem quickly and showed me how to prevent it in the future. Good price for the service The second time I used them was for a rental house I own. The central air unit was about 25 years old and died - just as I was getting ready to sell the place. Again, I asked for Alex and Lenny. They are great guys. Arrived early!! I didn't necessarily want to replace the whole unit so they gave me a price to fix the unit - $2k!!! While I didn't like the price, I don't think that was their fault. But here's what they did that made me LOVE THEM - they found a new unit for the same price as the repair. A brand new model was about $5k, but they got me a new unit of a model that is no longer made. The best of both worlds! While I still had to pay $2k, it felt like I got a lot more for it. The people who should really be thanking D&H are the new owners of my rental unit. They got a brand new head pump rather than a repair of a 25 year old unit. Mike is the owner. I haven't met him, but talked to him on the phone. Was very friendly and helpful as well. Use D&H! Great people.

Description of Work: They did a spring service for my air conditioners. They checked and cleaned the outside units and thoroughly cleaned the inside units; checked and changed the filters and even changed the filter on an intake I couldn't readily reach.

Description of Work: I called this company in a fit because the weather turned quickly to a high 90 and my ac was shot. So I thought....Mike...the owner came within hours of the call and fixed the problem....quickly. No nonsense...knew the problem and went for it. A matter of minutes the problem solved. The price was right ...but more important Mike's response was perfect. I have since called again asking questions about the performance of the ac and Mike responds with his no nonsense answer..within such a short time that I am really impressed.. I highly recommend this company to anyone in need of a professional.

They worked around our work schedules and were able to do all the work in very short order despite the delays we imposed on the job. Very professional, knowledgeable and helpful in explaining how the system functions, warranty registration and tax advantages.
Description of Work: We had our two stage heat pump system completely replaced. This included hauling the old system away, relocating the outside unit, running a new line set and custom sheet metal work.

 + -1 moreI called to inquire about cleaning my A/C heat pump to prepare for the warm weather and was expecting an appointment in a week or two. I was in no real rush but was pleasantly surprised when told they could come out the next day. The next day just before my appointment time they called and confirmed my address and directions and arrived about 10 minutes later and went right to work. The two guys (forgot to get their names, sorry) were very professional and courteous. In conversation I mentioned that I needed to check the floor for water from a failing hot water heater so it wouldn't interfere with their work and they so kindly offered to take a look at it to see if they could fix it for me while they were there. I knew it needed replaced but I really appreciate them taking a couple mintues to confirm that for me.
Description of Work: They cleaned the coils in my heat pump unit and cleaned and checked the freon level in the outside unit.

 + -1 moreThey just completed the job. They were very good. They were very prompt and very professional. They started the work when they said they would and completed it on time. The work looks good. We are very pleased with their work. We worked with them in comparison to another company. The other company was a franchise and this is a privately held company. Here they don't pay a lot of overheads for slick advertising and so forth. Our money goes towards the product and installation and not for advertising for the company or anything like that. We compared their price with only one other company.

 + -1 moreOur Lennox Central AC Heat pump quit working. Repairman came out same day and diagnosed the problem as a bad control board in indoor Heat Exchange unit which would not allow backup propane heat to come on or heat pump to work in heating mode. After about 90 minutes on site, repairman temporarily re-wired unit so heat pump would work until control board could be ordered and installed. Repair completed following week. Price was very reasonable for work performed and cost of part. Very good service with prompt service call and maintenance. Accurate diagnostics performed.
Description of Work: Diagnostic of Lennox Heat Pump problem with Propane backup. Replacement of indoor electronic control panel printed circuit board. Approximately 1 1/2 hours on site first day to diagnose problem and temporary re-wire unit until control board could be ordered and installed. Second visit of approximately 1 hour to install board and verify problem fixed.
