Great. Quick, thorough, very clean.

Robert gave me a discount for having the dryer vent and the chimney cleaned in the same day. He left no soot in my living room--I would never have known from the room's appearance that a chimney sweep had been there. He then vacuumed out my dryer vent -- our dryer is very far from the exterior wall, so our vent is about 20 feet and includes several turns (he can handle at least 30 feet of venting). He then ordered a cap custom-fitted to my chimney (to keep out birds while letting smoke out) and came back eight days later to install it, after it had come in from the special order. I was so happy to find someone in our area who would provide these services, I didn't do a price comparison, but I was happy with his services and professionalism.

Robert Werner is the owner//operator of the company; he is very pleasant to work with. He picked up calls right away and answered all questions. He was available for an appointment around the time I needed and offered a sliding scale in price depending on the number of chimneys I needed cleaned; he also offered a small discount for having found him on Angies List. (It was small enough not really to matter in the total bill, per se, but was welcome anyway and I appreciated it.) He arrived for the appointment on time and did the work as requested, except: one of the chimneys demanded more work than orginally thought and he didn't have the right equipment/suupplies with him. That was disappointing. However, he was true to his word to return as scheduled and completed the job without a hitch.

Ashbusters came to my home and swept my chimney and then came back the next day and installed a chimney cap to aid in lessening smoke and wind effects on our wood stove. They were very punctual and professional showing up when promised and performing their work quickly, quietly and just as promised. I would definitely use them again in the future to work on my home.

We had used Ash Busters from1994 to 2003. They put caps on our chimney, repaired the crown, and did maintenance every year. Prices rose gradually from $50 per sweep to $75 per sweep in 2003. I only stopped using them because I thought they had stopped service, but I later learned that the company's founder's son, Robert, had taken over. So I resumed using them in 2007 and every year since. While prices keep creeping up, the service is fine.

Have used Robert for the past 3-4 years. Very professional, reliable, appears to know his stuff. Great communicator, neat, clean, shows up when he says he will, does a great job, what more do you want in a Chimney Sweep? Top Marks!
